July 1 was the last I heard from Able Roofing at the time of this posting July 12th.

ADVICE: SCRUTINIZE YOUR INVOICES AND VERIFY ALL WORK I am a repeat customer who paid Able Roofing $28,400 in 2025 for a full roof replacement (including all decking, soffit, fascia, and gutters). Based on that prior relationship, I engaged them again in 2026 for a major, insurance-funded structural repair after a 40-foot pine tree struck the corner of my house. While I paid my contracted estimate in full, a subsequent physical audit of the completed project revealed differences between the billed scope and the executed work. I strongly advise anyone hiring them to physically verify all completed items. -Equipment Billing: The final invoice included a $550.00 charge for a 20-yard dumpster that was not delivered to or utilized at my property. -Labor and Structural Scope: The billing included a $7,002.55 custom quote to tear down and rebuild internal framing, plus an additional $2,371.68 for framing labor. Despite paying the original estimate in full for this exact scope of work, an internal physical audit revealed the primary structural replacement was not executed. Furthermore, the minor patching that was performed was attached incorrectly, causing the new lumber to split. Communication Timeline: On July 1, I spoke with the Project Manager regarding visible exterior alignment issues and missing materials. As seen in the attached screenshot, he promised a response from his management team by the next day. A response was not provided. Prompted by this lack of follow-up, I audited the interior on July 4 and discovered the unperformed structural work. On July 6, I emailed Able Roofing's executive management team with photographic evidence, formally requesting a correction or a refund. I provided the refund option because if Able refuses to perform the work they were contracted for, completing the original scope now requires hiring another contractor to tear off the re-shingled sections--including the decking, soffit, and gutters--just to access and rebuild the internal framing. As of today, 11 days have passed since I last heard from anyone at Able Roofing. It appears Able Roofing is not used to customers auditing their work. Do not assume the work you or your insurance company paid for was completed as written. Get in your attic, verify the work, and scrutinize every single line item on your final invoice.

    Drip Edge Repair after install

Observed ABLE Sub-Contractor completing a full roof replacement in the neighborhood. The crew total of 5 was obviously shorthanded after working 14 hours to complete the job working from 6am to 10pm after sunset. Observed this crew install shingles without any type of underlayment on a large area above the garage and nailed the shingles directly onto the top of the roof decking OSB boards. There was no material underneath the shingles which is a code violation and huge potential for leaks. At nightfall they realized a portion of the drip edge was not installed correctly, was loose and the installer lifted up the shingles along the entire roof edge, pulled the nails on the drip edge, renailed the drip edge and "corrected" the poor installation. I used Able years ago and would never recommend them or ever use them again based on my own experience and the observations noted above in this very recent roof replacement!! Sales can talk all they want, but it boils down to quality materials and the work experience and workmanship of the crew that arrives at your door and its leader on the day of the install. I never did see an Able representative ever show up on the job to confirm the work progress and verify the quality of the installation. Would NOT Recommend ABLE Roofing!

Leaking ceiling in my kitchen from the poor workmanship of Able roofing that they refuse to take responsibility for.

Get a new roof form them in late July or early August of 2025 and come May 20th of 2026 I have water coming through my ceiling at the back of the house. Call them to let them know and I'm told they're going to send a crew out on Friday. That "Crew" was one man who told us the apron behind the flashing wasn't installed correctly when it was done, and then he leaves. So I've read the contract multiple times and it says they're not liable for damage to the interior of the house. But because your subcontractors doing a poor job caused the damage it makes them directly responsible for everything that happens after that. I told them this sounds like the definition of negligence, they didn't agree and refused to do anything to try to keep it from getting worse in the meantime. Right now there's a flood warning for my county and it's Memorial Day weekend and the rain doesn't look like it's gonna stop. If I could give them 0 stars I absolutely would.

I had my Roof inspected, signed an agreement, paid my deposit, and my roof was installed 2 weeks later. The crew showed up at 8am and cleaned up and gone by 3:30pm. They did a full sweep of my property for any left over nails and did a great job disposing of all trash and debris. I had them install shutters on my home after the Roof project was completed. I HIGHLY recommend Able Roof for all exterior needs!

Water damage to new paint job after Able said a new roof would fix the leaks.

Roof leaks where it didn't leak before. Company took no responsibility. Terrible to work with.

We had a bath in our home renovated by a local Bowling Green company one year before we spoke with ImproveIt! Hence, we thought we had a source for good and recent comparison service, installation, and material quality in our home. We called the local company, however, they were booked up for a couple of months, so we called ImproveIt!. The installation for the ImproveIt! project was a bit troublesome. First, the installers wanted to change the installation date to an earlier date. We agreed to do that. However, the day before the new installation date, the installers called and moved the date back to a later date stating that they did not have all the needed materials. This, in our mind, was a strange turn. Second, the installers did not have the correct ventilator/light that was specified in the contract. It took a couple of weeks and several return visits by the installers to correctly install the right ventilator/light. Third, while the installation quality was adequate, it was not the same quality craftsmanship installation as what the local company did. Fourth, the shower head, hand shower, and valve quality was of much inferior quality than the hardware installed in the other bath by the local company. I would not have agreed to the quality of ImproveIt!'s hardware had I known what it was at the time of the sale. The installed hardware was or is of the least-expensive grade hardware that I found at The Home Depot. We also request a raindrop shower head that would extend out a couple of feet towards the center of the shower like the shower that was being replaced. We did not get the extended shower arm. The installers were very kind and professional in their work. They did a great job at cleaning up.

I believe the average for a job like this is around $7,200-$10k max, and thats being generous. And he will try to use pressure tactics and try to get you to make a rash decision that you would regret! Of course, if you like wasting your hard earned money and have it to burn, then go right ahead.

The front door has been on our list for a long time. I went to 4 different companies to quote the project. One company said they wouldn't do it because of the complexity. One said it would take 6 months to get a specialty door ordered and they wanted half the money up front. So basically paying thousands of dollars for a door I won't see for the better part of a year. Pass. The other company said they would need to rip the door off before they could give me a quote. Nightmare all around. Broadview was able to provide a reasonably priced quote and a 3 month lead time that ended up collapsing down to 2 months! I communicated with Ed for the sale and contract. My installation team was Randy, Bart, and Jamie. Absolutely stellar crew. Outstanding craftsmanship that exceeded my expectations. I did not think we'd get that door centered on the opening due to complexities of the HVAC and structure of the original door vs the new door. It looks marvelous like it was meant to be there, centered, correct size and color. One of the guys said they've been doing this for 42 years and this was the second hardest door he's done. And the only reason he could do it is because he worked in New England where all the homes were old. They also installed 3 layers of insulation because our door had none. Like I said, the list for this home never ends. Grateful for the team, their pristine attention to detail and their commitment to craftsmanship. We are thrilled with our new door!

I am also attaching pictures of the caulk job and the damage that was done below the window. Overall with this experience I would not recommend this company. I had ordered windows in September of 2021 and still have not had them installed as of 1/29/2022. The second week of December 2021, I had called to see where the windows were and how much longer it would be until install. It took 3-4 days in order to get an answer. The receptionist would constantly put me over to people who had no idea what was going on and would promise to give me a call back, which would never happen. The Week before Martin Luther King Dr. Day, I finally get a call from who I think is the owner who said that they have my windows, and they could install next day. Unfortunately I work in health care and it is almost impossible to get off at that short of notice, which is something I feel like this person could not grasp. We settled for Martin Lurther King Jr. Day because I was off work. Unfortunately I was scheduled for install in the morning and we had 4-6 inches of snow and according to the owner they had the truck which was stuck in Delaware. No big deal, these things happen and I would feel awful if someone got into a traffic accident or hurt, and said that he was very sorry and would try to reschedule on a Saturday, which was something they rarely do. He said he would call up a team and would call me back to confirm. Never did call me back pertaining to scheduling on a Saturday. I am now suppose to get them installed the second week of February, we will see if it actually happens this time. Overall I have been very underwhelmed with the communication of this company and at this point the amount of money paid is not worth the service, especially one that I have yet to receive almost half a year later

I had sent an online message through their website outlining what I was looking for. I had been through several visits from other companies. I had gotten a whole lot of gimmicks, smoke and mirror special offers, and high pressure 'sign today' sales. I was over it. I asked McCloud if they could give me an honest quote on just the four windows that needed replaced the most. Joe responded and asked a few questions. I sent him pictures and dimensions of what I needed. There were no issues providing a quote and committing to only four windows, when everyone else had 6-7 window minimum. In addition to the minimums, the prices were more with less windows at the other places (discounts for doing all 17). McCloud had the same price for me, no matter how many I ordered. There were also no confusing buy 2 get 2 hard to understand offers. Just upfront competitive pricing. Joe was fantastic on the phone and provided great information and was able to help answer questions based on his past experience. I agreed to have Joe come out and take a look at the windows. We talked through all our options, discussed various ways we could order/replace (Four windows, just the front windows, just the second floor, etc.). All my questions and scenarios were talked through, with zero pressure. He was there discussing and putting up with my questions so long his wife called to check on him! After talking with Joe, researching the company, and understanding the quality and price, we actually decided to move forward with replacing almost all of our windows. The only one we did not replace was a half round. I decided to pass on this one for now because Joe took the time to explain to me that because of its shape it is a bit more expensive. Based on the price, and other factors, I was able to put that one off and will have McCloud replace that in a few years. This was possible because they are willing to do just one window. No one else that I had in for an estimate would have done that. This week our windows were installed. We had the best installation crew in Brad and Brad. My wife said, of all of the contractors/workers that have been in our house, none have been as respectful and courteous as these two. They were professional from the beginning. They explained everything and took great pride in what they were doing. The install looks fantastic. The caulking is nearly immaculate. There was no mess to clean, the drywall needed to be trimmed and there is not a spec of dust to be found. The guys were super efficient and we could not have asked for a better experience. Today Joe came by and completed a final walkthrough to make sure everything went as expected. In addition to making sure we were satisfied, he walked through the lifetime warranty and all other post install details. We could not be more pleased with this process from start to finish! I would recommend McCloud to anyone looking for quality windows at a great price. We did have one issue, the bathroom window was supposed to be opaque, but showed up clear. Things happen. We discussed it with Joe on our walkthrough today and I am sure we will see the correct window soon.
