I've spent 100s of hours in classic lanes, great people, great food, and reasonable prices. If you're looking for a good pro shop nearby these are the guys. Prices for a lane are cheaper Monday-Thursday (something to consider before you come) and there is a summer bowling pass they have done in the past few years where you can bowl free all summer for a $300~ upfront free (amazing deal). If you're really competitive look into the Tuesday house shot sweepers, lots of amazing bowlers there as well as in the leagues. read more

Haven't been bowling in a long time, but my cousins' kids wanted to go. Staff was extremely friendly, both at the front desk and at the food counter. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza, wings, and fries. Everything was pleasantly delicious. We bowled two lanes and had a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend coming here! read more

Okay so here's the run down... i came for one reason this new years eve. To glow bowl. AND THIS DIDNT PRODUCE THAT. I asked the faculty of the bowling alley joe and steven and they promised me a bowling experience that would consist of the element glow. It's like midnight now and I see no glow and got some crappy pizza. Classic Lanes served its purpose on a Saturday night when we wanted to go bowling. We had grabbed some 'free game' coupons from a local ice cream shop and decided to use them. We set out to have a fun Thanksgiving Eve, Bowling with family. After bowling we decide to grab a bite in the bar. You have to order your food at the bar so my sister went to order for the table. The guy that took her order made sexually suggestive comments not once but 3-4 times. My sister came back to the table visibly shaken and upset. I went to the front desk to let them Know what happened. The lady at the desk came to the bar and had a conversation with the bartender and a few others and then proceeded to come to our table. She apologized to my sister and said she would talk to him. To make matters worse the man in question was the one that brought our pizza to us. What started out as a fun family night turned ugly as my sister was very upset. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon and it's a shame because I like that bowling alley. read more

I'm not an avid bowler, but I contacted Classic Lanes to hold a Christmas work gathering of 50 people and they helped me plan the event and it was absolutely great today. They set us up with 10 lanes, plenty of different pizzas and soda. The pizza is really good too. They make their own dough! The staff was very friendly and cleaely wanted to ensure our team had a great time and was taken care of. I will certainly bring my team back and also my family and friends. read more

We attended a fraternity parent event today with bowling, pizza and fun for 4 hours. What a well maintained, clean and organized bowling alley. There were no problems with the bowling equipment or areas. Nice Upbeat Music playing in background while bowling. We ate delicious pizza with fluffy air crust, great flavor.. pitchers of Labatt beer, very good and fair price 9.50. The process to pick up /receive our pizza in the bar area was very organized by a happy manager ..she enjoyed serving 150 people for our event.. The SigEp guys chose a great bowling alley this year. Very impressed with this bowling alley. I went on a Wednesday, when after 8 pm they offer unlimited bowling AND shoes for $8.25. A real deal!! The alley itself was exceptionally clean, hence the 5 stars. There were no crumbs or stains on the carpet, and my table was freshly cleaned and sanitized. I noticed the staff quickly cleaning newly deserted tables - showing that they care. My boyfriend says that the men's restroom was tidy. Also, the equipment worked very well and there was a sizeable selection of bowling balls. Kitchen staff was friendly and the pizza didn't look bad. One last thing I appreciated about Classic Lanes was that they didn't require me to trade in my regular shoes for bowling shoes. I just like that I was able to keep my regular shoes at my table instead of having them go into a cubbie. I will return!!! I hope this alley stays in business. I've noticed several going out of business in the area, and it makes me sad. read more

My favorite bowling alley! Just as cozy as it's been for the whole 25 or so years that I've been coming here. Staff is pleasant, patrons as well. This place is impressively busy at times but I've never had issues with getting a lane or drinks. The food is for sure 'bar food' and pretty much what you could expect at a bowling alley, haha - but doesn't disappoint. If you do have to wait for a lane, they do have a couple (cheap, too!) pool tables in the bar area and they do let you know in a timely manner when your lane is ready. The bar area has plenty of high and low tables to hang at, too. What I favor most is the no-nonsense of this place all around - the staff that I see when I come here have always been great and I want to say that most have been working at this place for some time - it's always nice to see familiar faces in a business that has been around as long as Classic has. Pitchers are cheap and they do have unlimited bowling! Also, bathrooms have always been clean which is such a plus. Even on their busy days I've never walked in here and thought "whoa who's not cleaning today?" haha. Classic does a great job of bussing tables even by the lanes and keeping everything presentable. I can't speak on what the pricing is exactly or how it differentiates (day/night/etc) but it's never unreasonable. I'm no professional bowler by any means but I love coming here when I can. If you're looking for legit good, clean, fun - come here! You can absolutely have a great night out without breaking the bank. Side note: I had my 7th birthday party here in 1997 and I will continue to come here as long as they stay open! read more

One of the cleaner bowling alleys I have seen. Service was moderately friendly. Did not experience any problems with the scoring system and didn't have to call for maintenance at all. It was kind of a bummer we were put on a lane that didn't have a working TV so I couldn't watch the football game I was trying to watch. So expensive, and our lane was down repeatedly. They don't add time to your game, even though the lane issues are clearly due to old equipment, which isn't maintained. We thought this would be fun on a rainy day, but it was nowhere near worth the $85 we spent for five of us to bowl for two hours. They don't even thank you for your business. They blamed my husband for using a 15-pound ball, which we found on their shelves. Why offer a ball that heavy if the lane can't handle the weight? What do they do on league nights, when people bring their own heavier balls? Additionally, the lane failed several times when my nephews, who were using lighter balls, bowled, so I highly doubt the issue is the ball my husband chose. What a total joke. Waste of money and time. We should have gone to one of the nicer and newer places around. We won't be back. read more

Not a bad alley! The drinks were great, and inexpensive, the food we sampled was above average bar food, and the service was spot on. A group of friends and I came here after dinner on Saturday night. This is a typical bowling alley...nothing fancy. The do a hourly bowling package that we took advantage of. We got 2 lanes, unlimited games, free shoe rental, 2 pitchers of beer, and nachos for $41/hr. This was not a bad deal for a group ( 7 of us). Classic is tucked away on Industrial Drive, not surprisingly surrounded by an industrial complex of tool and die type places. I'm not gonna lie; Classic is kind of crappy. The lanes are clean enough, but the rest of the place is pretty run down. If by "classic" they mean "nothing is ever fixed" or "we have the same carpet we bought in 1974!" then that'd be accurate. They have about 20 lanes. Surprisingly they do good business, so on a weekend you may be waiting. They have something that passes for an arcade, which is basically an old Golden Tee machine, a couple other old games, and an ancient pool table with some really bent sticks. Its one saving grace is that it's dirt cheap here. You can get a whole night of bowling in for under $20, and that's rare these days. Still, it's a teenager hang-out, so expect loud, sometimes (but not always) obnoxious bowlers around you. It's tough in the Rochester area; there's what? Only two or three bowling alleys within a reasonable driving distance. If you value price over all else, then this would be the place for you. Otherwise, I'd suggest finding somewhere cleaner and quieter. read more

Honestly, its a diamond in the rough sort of place. It's not going to blow your mind in terms of a fancy bowling alley but its clean, it has nice balls ;), and the lanes are well kept. We always have fun when we go here and the bartenders know their stuff. Not impressed, I booked a bowling birthday party for my BF and friends and the front desk guys were annoyed and rude when 10 less ppl didn't show up then what we were planning for and asked us to wait for more people to come in our group before asking for food, 2 hrs in we need food now no matter what the cost is! We booked this party already already knowing the cost. It's a package party with a price we were already willing to pay. I was really disappointed with front desk service. Bar and kitchen staff was amazing though with wonderful service, front desk needs more customer service experience handling people needs, they are the front line that makes this bowling alley, and being in Rochester hill I was expecting better service. read more

I have been to this alley a few times. During the week in the middle of the day it's okay. Mostly empty and quiet. However, I went once during a semi-busy time and was completely disappointed. There was a party going on I think and there were tons of kids. I brought my 2 kids, so I didn't think anything about the place being overrun by kids, that wasn't the problem. The problem was the parents were not watching or disciplining their children and the management did absolutely nothing when the kids were rough housing on the bowling floor and running into other people's lanes. I thought they should have at least asked the parents to keep control of their children or leave. My 2 little toddlers were better behaved than the older kids that knew better. And to top off this horrible experience a couple of kids, about 6 and 10, tried stealing my brother-in-law's ball from right in front of our faces. They just walked up to it, took it, and ran. Once again management did nothing to stop them and we had to take care of it ourselves. And to show what kind of trash bowls at this alley, there was a couple in the next lane constantly groping each other...in plane view of children! Absolutely rediculous! Unfortunately I joined the kids bowl free and bought the family pass to this place before I realized what a horrible, trash attracting, non-kid friendly place this is, and I can't get my money back from that to go somewhere else. read more

I was going to have my son's birthday party here because our usual place, Five Star Lanes, would be closed. They charge $13.75/child to bowl, which is a lot more than other alleys. I decided to book it, then go in and put a deposit. As soon as I pulled up, I got a bad feeling. I know most bowling alleys look dodgey on the outside, so I decided to look past that and go in. We walked in, and as soon as I opened the door, I was punched in the face with an obnoxious odor. It smelt moldy and old. I walked around for a little to check it out, and I didn't think it warranted what they wanted to charge for a birthday party. It definitely needs to be remodeled, and something needs to be done about that smell. I walked out, and cancelled our reservations for the party. I don't know why they think they can charge so much? As the owner of this children's business, it was important that my fans have a great FUN time with their families. I chose this family-oriented place because they provided such great customer service from the start - during the planning they helped me organize the food, the number of people, etc. The day of they had plenty of HAPPY helpful staff to help me - they had the check in desk ready, lanes prepped for my "bumber bowling little ones", they stored my large cake in their fridge overnight when it was accidentally delivered a day early! They had the food for 100 people arrive on time, had managed the crowded in an orderly manner when it was time for food, they kept every one happy! I can't say enough about the service and professionalism of the staff! I highly recommend it for a family outing or a large group! Thanks for the great event! read more
