Bowling with the fam and friends

Okay so here's the run down... i came for one reason this new years eve. To glow bowl. AND THIS DIDNT PRODUCE THAT. I asked the faculty of the bowling alley joe and steven and they promised me a bowling experience that would consist of the element glow. It's like midnight now and I see no glow and got some crappy pizza. It was supposed to be an etereal glowing experience but i now feel betray but the community surrounding classic lanes and classic lanes itself. Thank very much please like and share my review - Shoo

Classic Lanes served its purpose on a Saturday night when we wanted to go bowling. We had grabbed some 'free game' coupons from a local ice cream shop and decided to use them. We had to pay for shoes, which came out to about $4/person. There was a group on every other lane, so we were able to get right on a lane. Drinks are cheap from the bar - which is a plus.

What a fun, well maintained, organized establishment!

We attended a fraternity parent event today with bowling, pizza and fun for 4 hours. What a well maintained, clean and organized bowling alley. There were no problems with the bowling equipment or areas. Nice Upbeat Music playing in background while bowling. We ate delicious pizza with fluffy air crust, great flavor.. pitchers of Labatt beer, very good and fair price 9.50. The process to pick up /receive our pizza in the bar area was very organized by a happy manager ..she enjoyed serving 150 people for our event.. The SigEp guys chose a great bowling alley this year. Wonderful FUN time!! Hoot hoot guys!

    Super clean women's restroom!

Very impressed with this bowling alley. I went on a Wednesday, when after 8 pm they offer unlimited bowling AND shoes for $8.25. A real deal!! The alley itself was exceptionally clean, hence the 5 stars. There were no crumbs or stains on the carpet, and my table was freshly cleaned and sanitized. I noticed the staff quickly cleaning newly deserted tables - showing that they care. My boyfriend says that the men's restroom was tidy. Also, the equipment worked very well and there was a sizeable selection of bowling balls. Kitchen staff was friendly and the pizza didn't look bad. One last thing I appreciated about Classic Lanes was that they didn't require me to trade in my regular shoes for bowling shoes. I just like that I was able to keep my regular shoes at my table instead of having them go into a cubbie. I will return!!! I hope this alley stays in business. I've noticed several going out of business in the area, and it makes me sad.

    Garlic cheese sticks.... seriously...wow...

Hubby got the Cajun chicken pasta and I got the chicken piccata with noodles (noodles or smashed potatoes were the choice). Hubby really liked the Cajun chicken. It definitely had some good spice to it. I thought both my chicken and his chicken was dry to the bone. The flavor of my piccata was fine but I've had better. I will definitely go back, but I will be avoiding any chicken dishes as it was just too dry. The green beans that came with my dinner were nice and tender (my favorite thing on the plate). The pasta is homemade which is cool. I thought my spaghetti was a little spongy but fine. Hubby enjoyed his linguine over my spaghetti noodles. Had the beignets with mixed berry sauce for dessert. Nice, soft and pillowy. These are not super sweet (I'm used to beignets that are super coated in powder sugar, these are lightly dusted). But a solid dessert nonetheless. Waitress was very attentive which was nice (I noticed that all of them in our area were attentive). Took until the end to get a smile but she was fine and did a good job. Great menu and so many good looking choices, would recommend a visit.

We made reservations and arrived and got seated. At first, everything was great. The server came and got our drinks and bread right away and asked what we wanted for the app. We put two apps in and when he came back with the drinks we put the pasta in. We asked for more bread and he said he will bring it. This is where it went wrong. About 10 minutes later he passed us to go to his table behind us and said oh yeah the bread Im getting that and your refilled drinks. After that we did not see this guy for almost the remainder of the service. We ate the apps and then still no drinks. We waited for him to come back in this cornered area and did not see him. The manager brought the pasta and they forgot the chicken for my husband. He got us refills and my husband told Him and he said "well I can put in an order and then you can just add it to the pasta". He brought the chicken out 14 minutes later and his pasta was cold. He had waited to eat it. Still no server or bread. Finally the waitress that was in that area asked us if we needed anything. I told her we were waiting for the read for a long time and that we havent seen the waiter since he took our order. He never came when the food came. Just as we said that he walked over and said oh Im getting the bread. They said the bread was taking a while. As he said that, the manager brought the table next to us some bread. Then the waitress brought some for her new table. We waited again. She ended up giving us her bread and then got new bred. He finally came with the bill and said oh did you want dessert? We obviously didn't as we didn't even see him the whole time. He took forever to bring us the change. This is the second time that the service has not been great. The food is great and tastes great. The restaurant is nice and clean and I like the atmosphere. I just feel like paying $72 for this service wasn't great.

Are you guys going to respond to the alleged sexual predator issue going on with your head manager Jacob Wutka or what? A post (the text in quotes below) is circulating around, there are plenty of comments from past employees corroborating your guys hiring of and keeping predators employed and these comments talk about this issue being existent years ago. Time to address this regardless of what is going on. You cannot run from this. We will not let it happen. The circulating post: "Meet Jake. Jake is a current registered child registered sex offender who is a current employee at the Hamlin Pub in the downtown Rochester area. Jake was charged with having sensually charged contact with a minor under the age of 18. Jake was involved some time back in a sting operation ran by none other than Chris Hansen, which led to his initial charges and current status as a child sex offender. As a former employee of hamlin pub who worked closely with Jake for the last couple of months without any knowledge of his past crimes, I am very well informed by the fact that, since he is employed as a head manager at this Hamlin Pub location, has minors from high-school around the surrounding area (adams, rochester, stoney creek) currently working and employed under his care. I made my own attempt to confront management and ownership of the fact that they currently employ a registered child sex offender with the management and supervision over minors in high-school, I was subsequently and permanent tresspassed from the property on part of management and ownership as a result of bringing this information to light. Please do your due diligence to make this individual famous around your own communities and around the rochester and rochester hills areas as well. Please share this post with friends, family and neighbors so that we can cultivate a culture of accountability towards these deplorable sex criminals within our own communities. Jake clearly shows within his own mugshot that he expresses no remorse for any of his actions or criminal conduct, and should be placed in an environment in which high-school minors are frequently employed at.
