I get it, same longitude and wines should grow similar and all that jazz, but Michigan wines outside of the sweeter styles really never taste right to me. Well whatever they are doing here is nothing short of scientifically brilliant. Probably some of the best MItten Vino I have ever had and that assessement is from traveling all around the state and trying different areas. The Frontenac, Petite Pearl, Marquette were my favorites by far. But my five stars isn't for the wine, it's for the sheer joy this place brings me. Absolutely beautiful campus with sheep and goats and a big white furball of a dog who looks so adorable but is trained to kill any possible threat to his wards. The large barn event space and indoor seating is nothing short of gorgeous and of course sitting outside is just pure joy. I will add more pics as I come across them.

If you want to become a member, the upper floors are open to you with more collaborative and private spaces for you to enjoy! It is a non-profit organization and just a gloriously safe and intentionally-curated space to foster creativity and amazing vibes. I always feel so at peace and centered when I'm at BasBlue and love to take meetings from here as often as I can! It's located very close to the DIA, but only open during the weekdays. This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.

Brought my boys here this past weekend for the 2023 Comic Con event they were having. It was such a…read moregreat thing they put together for the community- for adults and kids alike. This VFW post, while a smaller or older location, served the purpose of hosting a great event that a lot of people showed up for. The location is in Bruce Twp., just north of downtown Romeo. It was very easy for me to find, even being unfamiliar with its exact location. The parking lot was completely full when we arrived, just only 1 hour it had started, but there was plenty of safe parking on the street. The people running the admission table were warm and welcoming. The fee was $2 for adults and Free for all kids- how do you beat that!! There were tons of vendors selling everything comic related, and collectibles. My boys and I walk around for about 40 minutes and we're able to visit all the tables and window shop. We made a few small purchases and they also had tons of freebies for all kids to take home. A few food trucks were also onsite and a video game truck (which was free for the kids to use!). My boys had a blast, and to be honest I really enjoyed looking at all the collectable toys from my childhood. All the people working and vendors were friendly and welcoming. We look forward to returning in subsequent years.
