If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I went in for a gel manicure after reading the reviews for this location. The lady shaved my real nails down so much I was wincing in pain. I proceeded to remark on the amount of pain I was in and she continued to shave down my real nail. The technician also filed my nails all completely down so there was no visible nail left, even though I asked her to stop. When my hand was in the machine, it burnt me and there was visible smoke, with no remorse or apology from the technician. My finished product left me with a color I didn't want (because they didn't have the type I wanted), all completely uneven lengths, and in pain because now my nails are so thin. I do not recommend going to this nail salon. They will leave your nails brittle and weak. read more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!! I had an appointment for a regular pedicure and had to wait an hour after my scheduled time. It took about 23 minutes for the pedicure and i left with dead skin literally hanging off of my foot. DISGUSTING. The two MALE managers are absolutely atrocious and so rude to their staff. I've had amazing nails done for me here. However my most recent experience probably will have me not coming back. When getting my nails done i was at the part where she starts shaping- I realized they were just a little too long and asked her if she wouldn't mind making them a little shorter. Her response was to loudly state to me "that's the length you asked for, why didn't you tell me shorter from the beginning". This response is just so unprofessional and makes me not want to return. It took her no more than 2 mins to shorten each nail. Getting your nails done is a curated service. One that I not only pay for but also tip on top off, and yet they make it uncomfortable to speak up if you would like a simple correction to your liking. If a client says a length or picks a color they think they want and then sees it on their own hand and realizes it wasn't quite what they imagined, I think the response from the worker should be that it's no problem because ultimately we are paying for a curated service that we should want to walk away happy. Especially when it's such a simple fix that takes no more than 5 minutes. But being spoken to loudly and shamed, followed by her not speaking to me for the rest of the service makes me not want to return. read more

I had a 5 I clock appointment and came in around 4:40 to pick out my color (dip on nails gel on toes) I wanted my current color removed which were gel and was trying to find a match in polish & was told they didn't have matching polish but could find something similar, so I opted for different colors overall. I was told to sit down several times with no seats available so finally sat at the nail drying bar. It was around 5:20 when someone else besides the tech I was due to have appointment with changed my toe polish & painted them. 15-20 minutes later, after I tried picking out a similar color for dip, I just told the tech I'll do gel to make it easier and would do the same color I had on my toes. Well, after some convincing, I opted for dip powder and told the tech (the one who I had the appointment with finally) I'd like square nails and had been growing them out and wanted them to eventually be long enough to do an almond shape. After the tech filed my nails, they weren't the shape I had requested even after showing her a picture and was told "square edges wouldn't be good with dip powder", but I have never had an issues with square nails and dip powder... so after applying the dip to two nails, it was way too translucent so I just asked her to take it off and I wouldn't be getting my nails done. She then took the dip off the two nails and began to file them aggressively to the point where my husband who was sitting right beside me became uncomfortable. I paid for the services rendered and when I walked out, my natural nails were ruined. Most of them were rounded on one side and disproportionate which led me to having to file them down and lose most of what I had worked hard to achieve in length. It didn't help matters how I was made to feel an inconvenience to everyone there. I've used this specific tech once before and was highly recommended which is why I chose her the first time, but the way I was treated and not listened to and especially how awful shape my nails were in when I left will be the last time I go here. I know it may seem like a minuscule complaint but I suffer from an auto immune disease and it took me 4 months to grow my nails to the point where they weren't breaking and healthy enough to get them done again. read more

I came here to get my birthday nails done and loved their work. the manager even fixed my nails to make them perfectly how I wanted them and all was great until I checked out and it was unreasonably expensive. They charged me $20 extra for doing a very simple design and even charged for the shaping of the nail. I would only recommend if you have cash to blow. read more

This place is beautiful and the people are very sweet, but overall I spent more than 70 dollars on a decent, half job. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure a few days ago and within the second day of my nails being done the gel manicure is chipping at the tips and my pedicure is already gone. Today my mom, sister and I went to this nail salon for a girls day. We all walked in together and requested 3 pedicures. They said it would only be 10 minutes to wait for 3 chairs next to each other. My sister and I were sat immediately with my mom waiting nearby while they finished up on a little girl. When they finally went to seat my mom in a chair, my sister and I were nearly done with our pedicures. My mom was upset that our girls day together was ruined. The girl at the front desk seemed a little clueless in how things were ran. The manager said "he can't be everywhere all the time". This place needs some serious organization and we will not be back. We were rushed from the very beginning to the end. The guy who did my nails was extremely difficult to communicate with & came off rude. I've lived in Tallahassee over a year now, and have finally found a great nail salon. Decor and layout of the salon are top notch and relaxing. I've been 5-6 times now and consistently receive polite, attentive and great service. My favorite tech is Peter. My pedis last a solid 3 weeks and sometimes I can squeeze out 4 weeks, $25 for a classic pedi. Thorough and effective job every time, and I've never waited more than 5 minutes to be served. (Can't comment on manicures as I never get them). Only downside is the horrible TJ Maxx parking lot; hard to get in and out of with inadequate number of spaces. read more

Went in to treat myself after letting my nails and toes recuperate for over a month. I was treated well, nail techs were funny and talkative, and my nails look really good. I got a full set and a classic pedicure. During the pedi, I stated I had ingrown toe nails. He assured me he would help, and as he peeled my ingrown to nails out each side at a time, I was in excruciating pain for a moment or so.. I sucked it up, and the rest of the pedicure was amazing. However, 1 day later and I'm already limping from an infected toe. I could feel something was wrong right after it happened. I thought it would be sore and that's it, but now I have to go see a doctor since I work on my feet all day. Probably won't go back. It's a shame. read more

I woke up this morning and two of my fingers and one toenail hurt so bad thanks to the man that clipped my skin and made me bleed and not bleed a little, he had a difficult time making the bleeding stop. He didn't say one word to me the entire time and was not friendly at all. I can't say I've had a worse manicure and the spa pedicure left something to be desired AND he got my pants all wet. Don't go to this place. I went for convenience, not worth it. I will be reminded for a few days with painful nails. Bummer. read more

Worst gel manicure ever. They had hardly any available polishes to choose from. He didn't trim my cuticles or file my nails. The hand massage was basically nonexistent. A 5 year old could've done a better job painting. My friends nails were clumpy with polish. They didn't file the edges after so the gel literally glued her skin to her nails. She went back and they didn't fix it, instead they filed one side making it crooked and then added a clear top coat. Worst of all, mine were peeling up on the edges within 4 days of getting them done. Awful customer service and awful manicure. Never going back. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my very first visit to Classic Nail Spa. I just wanted a basic color of dip powder, but I had to remove my old dip gel first. Rather than soaking my nails in acetone first he only used the electric nail file which was fine. But then for the thin layer of dip remaining on my nails he used an acrylic nail tip that he found laying on the counter and used that to help rip the rest of my dip off my nails which 1) ended up ripping some of my nail off and 2) hurt. My old dip powder never fully came off, he just started dipping over what was left over. He asked me if I wanted them shorter and I said yes but only a little, but then he cut them and filed them down extremely so they're super short which I did not want. Each of my nails is a different shape and length. Then, the thing that bothered me the most is that he didn't do anything that came with the manicure such as pushing my cuticles back and cleaning them up etc, he just went straight into dipping my nails. Therefore, I essentially got just a polish change for the price of a manicure. This was absolutely not worth $40. I was about ready to refuse to pay because of how disappointed I was but I didn't want to cause a scene. Lastly, there was multiple employees walking around the salon without masks on and I didn't not see them doing any extra cleaning after each customer. I am not one to be super freaked out by COVID but I felt dirty after leaving this salon. I absolutely will not be going back, and I really want my money back but I know there is no shot of that. read more

I have been to this salon twice now, both times the experience was GREAT! However, the aftermath has been horrible. The first time everything was great until I removed the polish from my big toe, I noticed blueish black dots on my toenail. I have never had any problems with any type of fungal infection so I brushed it off and chocked it up to be some weird stain from my black socks. I decided to go back and give them another chance. This time everything was good until about a week later, at night the soles of my feet, palms of my hands, and inside of my wrists started itching. It went on for about a week and I was thinking it was a weird reaction to a new medication I was taking so I told my mom about it asking her to make me a doctors appointment to check if I was allergic to the medicine. Explaining my symptoms she knew immediately what had happened. I had gotten scabies, which is a type of itch mite, from the pedicure. These things can easily be prevented by properly cleaning the implements and foot baths. Mine were minor issues easily treated, they won't always be minor. Please be aware!! read more

Really disappointed in my experience at this salon, and this isn't the first time. I was given a gift card for Valentine's Day. I misplaced it, and called & told them the situation. I was told, "no problem, we will honor it." I went for a pedicure & gave them the receipt from the purchased gift card ($35). I went to pay & was told, "we will take 1/2 off since you lost the gift card." Seriously?? So wrong! They have no process for recording gift card purchases. My friend and I went to classic nails this evening for pedicures after work. When I arrived, I was greeted professionally and was asked if we had an appointment. When I indicated I had not, the gentleman informed me they had a large party of 8 they were helping and that he wasn't sure we could get in. I said no problem, we can come back at another time. He paused and said that he would help us and would start my pedicure first while my friend was still en route. Well when I sat down, I immediately felt the entire service was rushed. I have never had a worse customer service experience before until today. My pedicure was cut short on length of time spent manicuring the nail bed or trimming the cuticle. I even had my old nail polish on around the edges while she was applying the new color. Each nail is filed in a different shape and the paint is not even at all. I asked the gentleman helping my friend if he could fix it and he tried but I really needed an entirely new pedicure! I'm very disappointed in my experience and would have appreciated being rescheduled for a date/time where they didn't feel it necessary to rush through it and provide bad service. Went her with a friend to get a pedicure. We we waited on immediately, the decor is beautiful and very relaxing..... The spa pedicure not so much! We both paid $40 for our pedicures mine was over a good 20 mins before my friends! As you know when you pay for a spa pedicure you are paying for extra time with extra steps. Even the check out girl was confused as to the short amount of time it took him! When I questioned him he became very loud and stated to me he did all the steps and he had a camera taping to prove it! His reason for my friend taking longer was the other guy was a slow polisher! But recently I went and I got a gel manicure, my nails looked great leaving the salon and my experience that day was fine. TWO DAYS after I got them done the gel on my nails had already started chipping. I was shocked. Then the next day they started peeling off like legitimate stickers. I have never had anything happen like this with gel EVER, even in salons where I paid half the price then I did at this one.... so I went back in and showed the owner and he redid them, he had an attitude and wasn't happy to be doing this which I guess I get, that's fine, whatever, I appreciated him doing it never the less. But, yet again, two days later the same exact thing happened with my nails!!! 4 days after getting them redone I only have TWO nails left that haven't peeled off.... needless to say I will not be going back again. read more

Oh my gosh! Absolutely horrible. I got acrylic nail fill by Amy who apparently does not know how to do nails. The girl was very sweet. When trimming my nail she used some sore of machine that burned as she trimmed them. My nails turned out to all have different lengths even after constant filing. I informed her of the shape and length and when she was done I wanted to cry, it was nothing I requested. A week and a half later I began to remove the white nail polish and noticed discoloration on my pinky nails, it was a fungus!! Instill have it by the wat. I have now soaked my acrylic off and my nails are in horrible condition. I have never had such a HORRIBLE nail experience. read more

I recently took my niece to this particular salon due to the fact that my normal nail salon is closed on Sunday's. The male nail tech seemed to be in such a rush and mind you she was only getting a simple polish for $5. The atmosphere was so uptight that it made me uncomfortable to be in there any longer than I had to be. No one talked and the receptionist stared me down as if I was going to steal something! Your character and customer service goes a long way despite how "great" your nail salon looks. Lee Nails on Apalachee Parkway and Blair Stone is soooooooo much better. read more
