This review is long overdue. I have employed Classic Plumbing for several years on various jobs and they always do excellent work. This particular review is on a five faucet installation using House of ROHL fixtures. It was an update to our original faucets. The master plumber, Eddie was on time, worked very hard and really he did excellent work. From the valve installation to the supply lines to the cleanliness in and around the faucets, the installation was pristine. I am thoroughly satisfied. I knew I could count on him when I met him yesterday during the inspection and bid process. He presents very professionally and walks the talk. Another excellent job by Casey and the crew at Classic plumbing. If you don't know Classic Plumbing you should. Their prices are fair, their work is always on point and they fiercely stand behind their materials and workmanship. Operational issues and dispatch is unbelievably rude. As I read the reviews, this is a clear theme. Heads up to anyone looking for a plumber! - I was informed they'd come today between 8-11AM. - They texted at 7:30 the plumber was on his way. - Plumber #1 showed at 10:15, opened a hole in the wall, went back outside. - At 11:15, I received another text someone else was coming. - Plumber #2 finally arrived 11:45. When I called and said I need to reschedule, as this is past the agreed time block, dispatch said I should have called earlier to let them know their plumber wasn't working. She said she can't keep track of what's happening unless the customer keeps her informed. read more

We had 2 plumbers show up after our initial wait time of 4 hours. They came 2 hours later, which I understand is probably a typical occurrence, however, they showed up intoxicated! So Im not sure if they were having too much fun at the bar, or in the truck parked some place, but my wife had to ask them to leave as one could barely speak straight and had to hold himself up on the counter. The other guy, who she assumed was the driver, because the other guy couldnt even get a good sentence out of his mouth, was flush (red) in his face and was seemingly buzzed as well. Very unprofessional. Im curious if the account before us identified their state of mind, or if they truly were someplace other than work. Further, the customer service folks back at the office didnt seem to offer much of an apology when we called to let them know. But they did say they would investigate. Im sure they did over beers when they returned to the office. The next day, they sent another tech out, which we told our property manager to let them know that we did not want their company back at our residence and to get an entirely different company to come and check out our problem. When my wife told the tech that we asked that they not return and before she could finish her sentence, the guy turned around and walked away without having some sort of cordiality. A few bad apples to tarnish the good work ethic of probably a few of the 5 star reviews seen on here. Personally, Id never have them back at my residence ever again. I called because they had good reviews but there is always one sour apple that ruins it for everyone else Horrible psychotic experience with thier customer service rep or Dispatch. I called for service last Friday mid afternoon for an for leak outside that needed to be fixed asap but no one was avail until monday and it was already late in the day. I called another company right below because it was semi urgent and was able get service that same afternoon. Okay so this is where it gets weird...I called them this morning as a courtesy to cancel appt an hr before they show up but no one was answering at the time and the phone answering service has a glitch I was not able to leave a message. So i would try back later until i received text msg that my driver is on their way. Right away I called thier office to let them know when the monster on the other line finally answered . I Apologize that i had to cancel and right off the bat she became irrate and mean in the way she was responding to my call. I thought it could have been Prank Yankers on the line. Lol anyways very very unprofessional, unpleasant and really felt harrased. She kept Demanding as to why,why,why I didn't call Friday I didn't call Saturday I didn't sunday! Scolding me as if i needed to explain my actions like a teenager its none of her Goddam buisness unless I make it! that tone and unprofessionallism my reaction was to tell her she was being rude and cut her off quickly I own a company myself and would be conerned to have my employees or a dispatch center behave in this manner. They are in the buisness to service people and help but of course. Obviously it is a very competitive industry. Sorry to say I got immediate service someplace else thank God My advise to this crazy lunatic and to the company she represents is have her take some time off and practice customer relations at a school and get a mental evaluation. Wasted my time!!!!! I called this place to get plumbing work done. When I initially called I told the woman on the phone I lived in a condo. I told her I would be paying for the work but had to submit a form to my Hoa board for the approval with their license no. And insurance and I told her I had a board meeting Thursday so I wanted to submit it before that meeting so I could have the company do the work the following week. She said it was not a problem and scheduled me for an estimate. I had to call them back twice and ask them about the estimate and the insurance form I needed. She said it was all coming they were waiting on the part pricing. On Wednesday the evening before the board meeting I get a text message saying they do not work on Hoas anymore. This was the only estimate I had scheduled because I needed to get the work done right away and a friend referred them to me. I now have to wait another month to get the work done from a different company so I can have the board approve the form. They wasted my time and caused an extreme inconvenience for me. My elderly mother accidentally flushed underwear down our toilet. The very next day, as anticipated, we needed a plumber. Positives about Classic Plumbing: (1) Quick quote response, (2) Communicated a clear hierarchy of rates as good as other plumbers, (3) They came quickly, and (4) When unexpected things happened, we worked it out. With no problems until the underwear flush, I was expecting to pay $90 if they could clear it, $125 to pull the toilet if the underwear was stuck inside of it, and $150 for a mid-priced handicapped toilet, $365 total. After pushing the superiority of their toilet product ($120 higher, $485 total), I relented; however, the base of this "superior" toilet was so narrow that the bathroom's floor tiles would not be covered. I was asked if I had a rug to conceal the mess, which is an unacceptable easiest-for-the-plumber suggestion. When they saw how unhappy I was, they were willing to go to Home Depot, but I found some matching spare floor tiles in my garage. Next, they recommended a $365 repair under the toilet, not related to the flushed underwear, which I declined since (1) Everything had worked fine until the flushed underwear, and since (2) The rug suggestion had affected my confidence and trust in them. This would have brought the total to $850. The job did end on a positive note. There were still flushing problems after the superior toilet was installed. Did that mean the underwear got past the removed toilet (therefore, did it need to be removed)? Without additional charge, they snaked everything from the roof until everything worked fine. You can decide from my experience if this is the plumber for you. read more

I had my water dispenser installed today by the classic plumbing team. Great job, clean and the price is right for the time and material it took to complete the job. Informed that my main line was backed up and took care of it before they left (extra cost) but it had to be done. They were on time and explained everything to me as I had a ton of questions. Considering having Classic plumbing to repipe our house and learned from the plumber what type of copper material is needed. Sadly, I have to update my previous review. I have used this company for many years, however it is no longer the 5 star company that it once was. Last week we called for service on my water heater. Classic has repaired this same issue for us twice in the past. I called Classic in the early afternoon. I was told the technician was just finishing up a job in the next city and would be here in 15 minutes. Over 2 hours later, I called to let them know I had not heard from him. Again I was told he was on his way. Two more hours passed before he arrived. He quickly fixed the problem and charged us TRIPLE of what we had paid in the past . I have called multiple times asking to speak to the owner, Casey Merrell. It seemed to me I was getting the run around, however, up until now, I had no reason to mistrust this company. It has now been a week, with no return phone call. I did not want to believe that we, loyal customers, were being taken advantage of....but lets add up the facts: 1. We had a kitchen sink that was slowly draining and when the plumbers came they cleared the drain and told us there was a broken/cracked pipe. But we decided to wait. A handful of clogs and calling the plumber to clear it came and went, so we decide that we needed to let them jack hammer and fix our pipe! Wow! Our pipe under our Dining room was so rotted and beyond gross and stunk. The classic plumbing guys came on time like always. Fixed it. Cleaned up and we are happy to have a repaired pipe! Classic Plumbing will (unless something changes drastically) be my go-to company for ANYTHING plumbing related from here on out. In this instance, I had a leak from underneath my toilet. I was initially going to try to do it myself, but honestly... I'm really bad with DIY... I once tried to DIY for a PB Sandwich and I swear, peanut butter EVERYWHERE. Anyways, after putting it off for weeks I finally called somebody. I called two vendors who both had great reviews on Yelp, the difference was... with Classic Plumbing, the phone picked up and within 5 minutes I had a call with dispatch to schedule an appointment the SAME DAY. (Still have not heard from the other company...) To make a long story short... I was able to get a QUOTE over the phone for my problem and I wasn't hit with any SURPRISES when Joe showed up to fix everything. During the whole process Joe had no issues showing me what he was doing and explaining everything VERY thoroughly. Our 12+ year old 30 gallon water heater was on its last leg of life and I was tired of dealing with it. Water heaters eventually need to be replaced and our family wanted an excellent, serviceable, highly efficient, upgraded 40 gallon 2016 model. And we wanted a model coming from a plumber - believe it or not getting a water heater from a plumber makes a lot of sense. If they're gonna service it for you they have direct contact with the brand manufacture and can solve any issues fairly promptly if one arises. Warranty and install is a no brainier. Called a few local plumbers for quotes and our family decided to go with Classic Plumbers based on reviews, pricing and availability. Casey scheduled us the next day at 9am and the next day Classic came out at 9am ready to work. They brought out a Bradford White 40 gallon water heater. I'm familiar with the brand and was happy with the unit. All water heaters in 2015/2016 have to meet California's new codes for low emission and high efficiency. For homeowners that's good. The crew of two got the unit out - they replaced our old water shutoff / and gas shutoff - helped me brace the water heater platform for the heavier unit - Cleaned their mess up - focused on getting the job done - just went above and beyond service. No fuss, issues, or problems. I was very happy with the work done. They made sure the new 40 gallon fit well and all the fittings we're perfect. Our family has an upgraded water heater and so far it's working great! The unit is so quiet - hot water last a lot longer- can do a load of laundry and shower and still have hot water.
