Am VERY interested in one of their cars, but had some questions I wanted answered before I spent the money to travel from east coast to go there to check out the car. It's been OVER 10 DAYS and these clowns haven't responded. Guess business is soooooo good, they don't need the money. It list a "Terry" as the contact. Hi, I was interested in a 57 chevy Belair hardtop they had just got in stock. I called Terry when they opened and told me he wasn't at the store. As I read from other customers they don't spend a lot of time there. Told him im in Mn. And would be there in 3 hours. He called to check on me once. My brother and I sho up at 4:00 and they was not a car in the lot. Garage door was open so we walked in. Terry came over and meet us. I would aspect he would have the chevy in the sunny daylight for us to view. No its in the middle of the showroom with cars around it. His add said rechromed bumpers and very nice stainless. Front bump was flaking off chrome and moulding around front windshield had been tryed to be removed with a screwdriver and all bent up. Tail light didn't work and he told us we don't work on cars just sell them. I asked if I could drive it and he said we need to make the deal first then I'll dig it out. I asked what he would take for it and Terry would not tell me. he said make a offer. I did and he said no way. He was very vague with answers to our questions and just wanted it sold. We keep asking to drive it and he said we don't do business that way. They don't tell the whole story and don't want to answer questions. He said i need to put down ten percent that is non refundable to drive the car. Please do yourself a favor and go there to investigate your dream ride it will save you money and future headaches. I recently was looking for a 1950's classic car, specifically wanting a convertible with manual transmission. I found a 1950 Ford Custom advertised by Jordan (co-owner of this business), which met these criteria and was frame-off restored. He said it was immaculate, with no flaws except non-functioning radio. I drove 3+ hours to his business, and he facilitated a thorough check of the vehicle. He placed it on a lift, so I could check the underside. He answered each of my numerous questions, and his answers were spot on. He told me when and where the car was restored. I agree the car is immaculate., and it runs and functions well. I noticed that all of Jordan's inventory was quite nice. He gave me much assistance-- including to load the "plum" Ford onto my trailer (plum condition, plum color!). It was a pleasure to do business with him. read more

I went to check out a 1998 Pontiac trans am ws6 convertible I saw online advertised at 53000 miles. They let me know several times they don't sell repairables. After about 5 minutes I found the right headlamp drive gear was shot. Also noticed the odometer said 51000 miles. Under the car was cleanish but not 53000 mile clean. I went home and checked it out with carfax. In 2021 in Wisconsin it had 65000 miles noted for a service as well as speedometer issues listed. Since that time to march 2025 it came to Minnesota was privately owned and was now being sold on consignment. When I brought this to their attention Terry said he would look into it but never got back to me. Jordan did not seem to care even though I pointed out it was not only false advertisement but also odometer fraud. To anyone looking for a classic car best steer clear of these guys. Shady is an understatement. I just feel sorry for those that don't know any better. read more

Before you consider purchasing anything from these people make sure you have the car inspected, especially if you're out of state. Only posted a few pictures of what they called a solid car. Car had been in multiple accidents pieced back together, L brackets holding it together frame rusted so bad you could push your finger through. Fenders have spray foam holding them together and exposed fiberglass Jordan is your classic lying used car sales person he is the one that your father warned you about. If you've seen this car on their site don't bother it's JUNK!!! read more

We drove out to Annandale from the cities to visit this dealership and they were closed. Called the number on the sign and whoever answered told us he had a doctor appointment that day and couldn't come in. Planned a second trip and called to make sure they were open. I was informed he didn't think he'd be in the next day? I would never use these guys for a consignment. They make no effort to make there dealership available to see their cars. What joke!! Won't be doing business with them! read more

It's been a little over a year since I bought a 1940 American Bantam from Terry @ Classic Rides and Rods. First time I bought a car without looking it over in person, big mistake. He totally mis-represented this car to me. I told him when I saw it on line that I liked it but decided to pass on it then. After a few months he contacted me saying if I was still interested he would drop the price. I told him I had a few cars I was restoring right now and didn't really need another project so he told me this car was totally restored, needed nothing and all I needed to do was start it up and drive it. I took his word for it (big mistake). I bought it and when it showed up the shipper said here is the battery they gave me because the one in the car was no good. I expected to drive it off the trailer but he said it didn't run and they had to push it on to load it. He also gave me some loose parts that fell off the car including the hood and radiator cap that wouldn't stay attached. I called Terry and asked him why he lied to me that the car wouldn't start and the battery wouldn't even fit the battery box so he told me the battery that fit the car was no longer made and I need to put the larger battery he gave me somewhere else like behind the driver's seat on the floor (it is a 4 seater but would then be a 3 seater because the battery would take up the space intended for passengers feet). I could turn the crank shaft so I figured I could get it running so I decided to fix what I thought were a few issues and chalk it up to a bad decision. Since then one problem led to another and now I am getting ready to paint it after taking it down to the frame and doing a frame up restoration needing to do some major body work. Started out with rebuilding the battery box in the cowl to except the larger battery, rebuilding the radiator neck and the radiator cap so the cap would stay on. The carburetor was dripping gas so I replaced some seals. The windows wouldn't go all the way up so I got into the doors and had a lot of work fixing the regulators and track. The horn didn't work so I took some time and made a few parts and ran a wire to hear a horn that made just enough noise to let me know I had power to a horn that didn't beep. Then I went to the gauges and the speedometer was seized up so I took it apart and rebuilt it. Parts for this car cannot be found. The gas gauge was too far gone and there was no sending unit in the gas tank so I had to find a matching sending unit and gas gauge that I could fit into the cluster (not easy). The gas tank was full of rust and debris so I cleaned it out and resealed it. The windshield wiper doesn't work either (not a big surprise) I haven't had time to investigate that yet. The hood would not fit the car so after investigating I found the body was off-centered 3/4" in the back on the frame and the only way to line it up was to cut out part of the floor and rebuild it allowing me to line it up correctly. The radiator shell was also welded up 1/2" out of square and after several cuts and re-welding got it to line up correctly. The hood latches didn't work and the cowl vent was missing all the linkage so I fabricated those parts. This car was a very poor incomplete build done just good enough to look OK in the pictures posted and with Terry (the salesman) lying and misrepresenting this car. There is still a fair amount of effort to go and probably more surprises to find but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel getting closer. I have no doubt after I am done with this car everything will work as it should but remember this is a car Terry said needs nothing, is totally restored and all I need to do is start it up and drive it! I would be very careful dealing with Classic Rides and Rods so you don't get screwed like I did. This is a car dealer that gives that profession their bad reputation. read more

Beware. I bought an antique car from these. Not only was the car not as advertised, but the title can't be transferred because they can't or won't provide me with adequate documentation. They won't even respond to my emails or phone calls. This is the worst experience I've ever had in purchasing a car. Avoid them! read more
