I hired this company to diagnose an issue with my RV slide and paid $200 for the service call…read more Their conclusion was that the motors needed to be replaced, and I was told they would follow up with a quote for parts and labor. Instead, I contacted BAL, the manufacturer of the slide system, directly. BAL recommended a retrofit repair kit as the proper fix, which I purchased myself for $160. That kit includes two new motors. Once I had the OEM-recommended parts, I asked this company for a labor-only quote. After multiple follow-ups, they declined to even provide one, stating their technician "has not had good luck" with these retrofit kits and that they were not comfortable performing the repair. That's the part I find most frustrating. The retrofit kit still involves replacing the same motors they originally diagnosed as failed. If they were not comfortable performing the manufacturer-recommended repair, that should have been disclosed upfront -- before I paid for a diagnosis and spent time sourcing the solution myself. I appreciate their honesty in ultimately admitting their limitations, but that honesty came after the fact, not before. In the end, I paid $200, got no repair, no quote, and no clear path forward until I handled it myself. Future customers should ask upfront whether the technician is experienced with their specific slide system and whether they are willing to quote labor separately before paying for a diagnosis.

Not the kind of problem you want to deal with on a trip. I called Nick and he responded right away. He made time to come out the same day. He diagnosed the issue quickly and knew exactly what was wrong. The automatic transfer switch had failed. Instead of delaying the repair, he tracked down the part himself, picked it up, and came back to install it. That level of effort matters when you are on a tight timeline. The repair was clean and professional. Power was restored and my entire weekend was back on track. What could have been a ruined trip turned into a great one. He did not stop there. He worked through the warranty process and made sure the repair was covered. I ended up fully reimbursed by the manufacturer. That saved me money and a lot of hassle. Nick goes above and beyond. I called Matthew, sent some pics, and he explained it looked like it may need a full reroof (which I kind of already knew in my heart). I told him there were a few soft spots and he said he would repair those areas too. He quoted me a price and I took my trailer to him. Matthew then went to work. He sent pictures and I couldn't believe how bad my roof was. It was full of mold, mildew, rotten wood and it was horrible. I was always wondering why the trailer had an old/musty smell. Matthew repaired everything for an amazing price and even did inside ceiling work. He is the real deal and one heck of a tradesman. It was literally drop off my rotten leaky roof trailer and pick it up ready to go with a brand new roof. Easy. Matthew also put new vent caps, fridge cover, and new a/c gasket. I never really looked at the wiring closely until fairly recently but was not happy when I realized what a crappy job the Manufacturer did in wiring the motorhome and how the RV Dealer made it even worse while integrating the Solar panels they added. I finally decided that I needed to replace the Solar panels, go to a Lithium battery and get quality/dependable inverters. I got sick and tired of wasting money on regularly replacing 6 volt batteries that died even with the best of care and having inverter issues. I am extremely satisfied with my installation and complete rewiring and I am so happy that I can now spend time off grid for long periods without worrying about power issues.
