    The BEST fish sandwich EV-ER
    Miss C C.

Let me tell you it was hard for me to find this spot inside the mall w/o calling for guidance. This is the best hidden gem there. This is the only place I will ever buy fish or a fish sandwich from. It was meaty, well seasoned, well portioned and worth the price. It was cooked to order and I love freshness as well. If you check out my other reviews you will see how I have been disappointed by other establishments, so when I say this is the ONLY place I truly mean it. I can't wait to taste their Mac n cheese, shrimp burger etc. so stay tuned!

I was craving a delicious fried fish sandwich and I didn't know where to go. I came across this establishment on tiktok and had to try it. Upon arriving the owner was very warm and personable, guiding me through my order. While I was waiting he also let me try an impeccable rum cake he was considering introducing to the menu. There was a dj in the food court providing a great r&b mix. Once I got my food I was blown away. The sandwich was huge. The fish was fried to perfection and well seasoned and the sauce was a perfect pairing. The fries were delicious as well. If in the area, you must give them a try!

I've been seeing this huge fish sandwich go viral in the DC area. Whole time good folks are getting it from a spot that I reviewed a while back!! So it was time for me to pull back up!! . Where I am: @claudehavemercyseafood inside of @hellocommas . Location Reviewed: 8661 Colesville Rd., level 3 Silver Spring M.D. . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Fried Whiting Sandwich ($16 a whole whiting battered, fried with a Cajun slaw on a brioche bun). HUGE, perfectly seasoned, a crispy batter, & hard to finish!! STAMP!! Their Seafood Pizza ($23 with shrimp, crab, & salmon sitting in a white sauce). Off the first bite I knew this was a winner!! Garlicky, buttery, with a hefty amount of seafood!! LIKE THAT! Their Catfish Po'Boy ($15.50 fried catfish pieces with lettuce, & seafood aioli inside of a hoagie roll). A well seasoned crunchy battered fish!! Plentiful, & tasty!! STAMP!! Their Salone Wings ($15.50 a west African stew consisting of cassava leaves, tomatoes, palm oil, & groundnuts overtop of fried wings). This HIT different!! Super savory, mild, & tasty!! Not an acquired taste...you should like these!! . Customer Service: On Point!! . Parking: ROUGH on the street, DECENT in the parking garages!! . Recommendations: Get that fish sandwich!! 5 Stars=STAMP 4 1/2 Stars=LIKE THAT 4 Stars=DELICIOUS 3 Stars=DECENT 2 Stars=PASS 1 Star=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

Chicken tenders came out fresh. They looked delicious. In hindsight, I wish I had tried the bbq sauce with it. Probably would've been fantastic

Decent food at Commas Food Hall. We had the salmon tenders which were good but it did take a while for the food to come out.

Dining areas are in several room spaces, instead of 1 big cavernous hall. There is a bar room as well as a tavern in the basement. Outdoor lawn has plenty of tables and lush greenery, perfect for a good weather day picnic. Our group was in a bigger room and a few steps downstairs from the bar area. Waitstaff was professional and helpful. We first ordered drinks, then starters. We ordered entrées after drinks and starters arrived for good pacing. Several of us shared a Skyfall Cabernet Sauvignon. It was smooth and fruity. We shared pimento cheese dip with veggies and bread triangles, bread basket, burrata and spiced cauliflower. All were excellent, Star was the burrata, so creamy and had pesto with it. My entree was a prosciutto sandwich with fig spread. The sandwich was on ciabatta bread. It held the sweet fig spread, savory prosciutto and soft Brie . Very filling and yummy, and came with crisp fries. Everyone loved their food. Some had dessert and coffee afterwards which was also top notch.

Dear Restaurant Owner,…read more My husband and I had been looking forward to dining at your restaurant for quite some time and finally had the opportunity to visit on Tuesday, June 2, before attending a concert nearby at 8:00 PM. We arrived at approximately 6:45 PM, were seated promptly, and were greeted by our server, Anna. She was pleasant; however, the service we received throughout the evening was extremely disappointing. We ordered drinks to start. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered a rosé prosecco. When my drink arrived, it was visibly flat. I tasted it anyway and found it to be both warm and lacking carbonation. When I brought this to Anna's attention, she responded, "I noticed it looked flat too; I'll get you another one." Frankly, this was concerning. If she noticed the drink was not of acceptable quality, it should never have been served to a customer in the first place. We then ordered the mussels appetizer, which was excellent and one of the highlights of our visit. Shortly afterward, I ordered the swordfish special, and my husband ordered the shrimp po' boy. Neither dish would typically require an unusually long preparation time. Unfortunately, what followed was nearly an hour of waiting with no communication. Anna never checked on the status of our meals, nor did she provide any updates. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables who were seated after us receive their food and complete their meals. By 7:45 PM, with our concert approaching, my husband suggested that we ask for our meals to be packed to go. It quickly became apparent that our entrees had not even been prepared. When Anna finally returned, she told us it would be "another five minutes," indicating that our meals had not yet been cooked despite being ordered nearly an hour earlier. At that point, we had no choice but to take the food to go so that we would not miss our concert. As a result, we ended up eating cold food later that evening. What made the experience particularly disappointing was that we had genuinely been excited to visit your restaurant. We had heard good things and were looking forward to a memorable dinner before our evening out. Instead, we left feeling overlooked and wondering what we had done to warrant such poor service and lack of attention. To my surprise, my husband--who is incredibly kind and non-confrontational--still left Anna a 20% tip, despite the fact that the service did not merit it. I am writing not to seek anything in return, but simply to make you aware of our experience. The quality of the mussels showed us that your kitchen is capable of producing excellent food. Unfortunately, the service and lack of communication overshadowed what should have been a wonderful evening. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope it helps prevent future guests from having a similar experience. t

It's family-owned and operated, and you feel that warmth the moment you walk through the door. The staff are genuinely welcoming, happily accommodate substitutions and dietary restrictions, and often recite the nightly specials with a delightful mix of English and Italian--usually accompanied by a compliment about your outfit or your dinner companion that makes everyone smile. We had Christmas Eve dinner there this year, and it was every bit as memorable as we'd hoped. The portions are generous enough to share or take half home for lunch the next day. I especially recommend the Chicken Marsala, Chicken Piccata, and the classic mussels, all prepared beautifully. Don't overlook their neighboring pizzeria either--it's our go-to for both takeout and casual dining. Trattoria Da Lina is the kind of neighborhood restaurant every community wishes it had.

It's on the same block as a really nice Thai place and a nice Mediterranean spot as well. There weren't many people on a weekday night so we just walked in. Street parking is free after 7 PM. The star was the margharita pizza. And we also got a calzone, which was also really good. The texture of the crust and the little slight crunch and the sauce was really great. I wish there was more basil on the margarita pizza. There were three pieces of basil on the entire pie the pasta we got was the seafood pasta and it was a bit salty and portions are a bit small, but maybe that's the norm now? And we also got this other mushroom ravioli thing that is also pretty good but just really small. I think it was like five or six pieces of ravioli for $24. Service was fine. It was standard. The restaurant was a little bit hot during the heat wave. I wish it was a little cooler so with the four dishes altogether it was over $80 before tip for two people and we just had a little bit left over which is why I thought the value was more 3.5 than a four. That said, I'd still come back and get the margarita pizza and calzone - they're really quite good.

I was told this charge does not go to the waiter but is instead shared with other staff (busser, host, etc.), and that customers are expected to leave an additional tip for the server. I initially left a 20% tip because I did not notice the automatic 18% service charge. To make matters worse, I was initially given the wrong receipt, which added to the confusion. When I realized the service charge had already been included and asked for the extra tip to be removed, the waiter told me he does not receive any portion of the 18% charge. I asked whether the expectation was for customers to leave a total of 38%, and I was told that is how it works at this restaurant and in Washington DC. I found the billing and tipping process confusing and misleading. I won't be back.
