I don't know how I could have been more clear that I wanted blonde hair. My hair is falling out in clumps. DO NOT GO HERE FOR COLOR! I came in with a clear reference photo for a soft, lived-in balayage with a blended root melt. Instead, the stylist used foils throughout my entire head and lifted the highlights directly to the root with no blending or root melt. There are a ton of blotches left all over my head where I left the salon with my hair looking worse than my arrival. The result looks very stripey, especially at the part line and around the face, and is quite different from the soft, dimensional balayage I requested. There was no gradual transition from root to blonde like in the inspiration photo I showed during the consultation. I understand that color results can vary slightly, but this felt more like a completely different technique than what I asked for. For a salon that positions itself as high-end, I expected more attention to blending and placement. Unfortunately, I'm now going to need to have the color corrected elsewhere. I'm sharing this feedback so others seeking a lived-in balayage style know to be very clear about the technique used during their appointment which I thought I did this as I used to be a stylist myself but I still ended up with the worst hair color results I have ever had. I reached out to customer service and since this is an independent salon they could not help me. I don't feel comfortable having these people fix my hair.

Just had such a great experience here. I'm not the kind of person who gets hair work very often,…read moreand when I do, I try to be frugal about it. I came in for a consultation with Eddie (through a friend's recommendation) knowing that my hair color concept was unusual enough that I'd want to fully trust whoever was doing it. Eddie was immediately calm, funny and honest, and seemed to light up at my less conventional ideas. The fact that he gets genuinely excited about doing more unusual coloring jobs was a good sign, so I followed through. Anyway, he worked diligently, spoke me through his plan, and the results are awesome. He did a color block of half of my bangs in a very bright blonde, and added in complimentary highlights to bring it all together. The photo I'm posting is of right after the service, but even when my hair air dries and takes it's natural form, it looks so good. Unfortunately I had to rush out near the end of the service (and though I don't wish that pressure on him) he was super graceful about finishing up quickly while not sacrificing the end result. If you are looking to do something a little out of the ordinary or out of your comfort zone, definitely go to Eddie. He will not only do an amazing job, but also nudge you to be bold if you start to chicken out midway through the process like I always do. As for the salon, it was my first time so I don't have much to say, but everyone there seemed quite chill and friendly. Music was a bit obnoxiously Top 40 for a while, but once the salon got less busy, Eddie changed it. It's a bit small and intimate, but the coziness is nice. I'll be back :)

Considering I dealt with her some time ago and people are still leaving reviews for Sophia, Bellami needs to assess her employment here. Left the store crying after how I was treated. I emailed them months prior to book my appointment here for a color match and clip in installation because I'd be in town for Bridal Fashion Week. Went back and forth to figure out a time, and then I thought it was set. Maybe it should have raised a red flag that I didn't hear from them again but I assumed (wrongly) I was taken care of. When I came to my appointment this morning I don't even have words for the way I was treated. I am a manager of an appointment based retail shop and I would never think to treat a customer the way I was treated, even if they mixed up their appointment time (which I didn't, I have all the emails saying when my appointment was meant to be). I was essentially told even though it was entirely their mistake they'd be doing nothing to accommodate me. The girl at the front desk dealing with it was obscenely unprofessional. I had to walk back and forth with her while she tried to figure out the computers. I showed her the emails and she basically said I was wrong for thinking I had an appointment. I told her this was their mistake and she agreed, then said I could still buy extensions. Are you effing kidding me? After being ridiculed by you in the middle of the salon, for everyone to see? I was so excited about this, I told everyone how I was getting my hair done at the Bellami salon. Now I'll be telling everyone how Bellami treats their customers. Do better, maybe get some customer service training for your floor team.

From the very beginning, he took his time, listened carefully to every concern, and explained everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and heard. Frank is a true gem!!

I have given this salon several chances over multiple visits because I know finding a salon that…read moreknow how to handle curly hair is challenging, but unfortunately, my experiences have been very inconsistent. For anyone with curly or wavy hair, I would describe the service here as very hit-or-miss when it comes to curly hair. My most recent appointment was especially disappointing. **Haircut** I booked with Michael Bergela, a master stylist, for what was supposed to be a simple trim. Instead, he cut my hair significantly shorter than I requested. This is the shortest my hair has ever been in my life, and I left feeling extremely insecure because short hair is not a look I feel comfortable with. I had clearly expressed that I prefer to keep my length. When I raised my concerns, I was essentially told to go back to the stylist who had previously cut my hair because there was nothing he could do. That response was frustrating considering I had just paid almost $500 and was leaving extremely unhappy with the result. We started with my hair completely wet, which made me nervous, but I tried to trust the process. I asked for my bangs to be blended a little more, and somehow that resulted in a substantial amount of length being removed from the rest of my hair. At the very least, I would have appreciated a warning that this was going to happen. I have seen plenty of people with long hair and bangs, so I still do not understand why so much length needed to be removed. I came in with length that stopped middle of my back and left with shoulder length. **Hair Color** Frank handled my color service. I intentionally wait a long time between appointments to minimize damage, meaning he was working with a significant amount of virgin hair. I explained exactly what I wanted, but after the color was completed and I was sent to be shampooed, Frank left before even seeing the final result or asking whether I was happy with it. I had been in the salon from around 11:00 a.m. until nearly 6:00 p.m., and after all that time, I was disappointed to see noticeable damage and a balayage that looked much thicker and less blended than I had requested. **Styling** Fiona did the initial styling. I have 2C/3A wavy-curly hair, which is not an especially difficult curl pattern to work with. However, my hair was left extremely frizzy with almost no curl definition. It honestly looked like I had rolled out of bed. After spending almost $500, I should not leave feeling like I could have achieved a better result at home. I expressed my concerns to Fiona and specifically pointed out the frizz and lack of curl definition, but she made no effort to correct it and simply LEFT AS WELL. By this point, the salon was nearly empty because most of the stylists had already gone home. It felt like the focus was no longer on providing good service but on getting me out the door. A second person, who I believe may have been an intern or assistant attempted to style my hair. She seemed very nervous, and I genuinely tried to be patient and kind. In fact, I found myself guiding everything how to style wavy/curly hair because I wanted to leave with my hair looking presentable. Michael even handed her a brush that was completely inappropriate for curly hair styling. I really just wanted to take over so I can leave already at this point. I am sharing this experience so that other curly-haired clients can make an informed decision. My most recent appointment left me with hair that was shorter than requested, more damaged than expected, poorly styled, and left me feeling far less confident than when I walked in but the issue wasn't just the hair itself, but how the staff handled my concerns. Instead of anyone taking the time to address my dissatisfaction or attempting to make things right, each person simply left, said there's nothing they can do and to go back to the person that previously cut my hair. I am not the type of person to leave negative reviews but I paid good amount of money and felt very insecure of my hair for days. Hoping I would get used to it but I'm just waiting for my hair to grow back now and doing a lot of hair masks.
