Best seafood boil ever! The baked oysters are seriously awesome and the drinks come in fun little pouches. All the seafood is always consistency cooked perfectly and seasoned right. The kind crab was so tender and delicious this place is worth every penny. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive. I've celebrated a few birthdays here with family and big parties and they were very accommodating. You will not be disappointed
I was in the area and I passed by this billboard for their happy hour deal. I had to check it out. My friend and I went inside to inquire about it and the person working said that it will be honored all night. So, we were happy as there was no cut off time that was on the sign. We got seated right away and we took our time ordering. Once we ordered everything came out but some took awhile. Overall, it was very filling. If you come for the happy hour meal, this is a great deal.
Sub-par in every way. Ate there a couple years ago and it was great so my daughter took me there for Father's Day. I got lobster which was fine, but the clams were inedible because they were overcooked. Even though there were only three tables with customers, I had to ask several times for a second pair of sheers. The waiter finally brought them after I was done eating. Also, there was only one cracker and no picks at the table. They were generous enough to give us two plastic forks though. My daughter was having crab legs and we had to share one set of utensils. How do you run a restaurant like that?
Th service was good. I ordered the alligator and chargrilled oysters. Oysters were good, alligator was tiny and didn't taste like much. My friend ordered the lobster roll. It has plenty lobster and tasted okay. The shrimp ehh I'd give the shrimp a 2/5. I can't remember which adult Capri Sun I had but it was good and strong. Ambiance was cool, I liked the music they played. It was pretty dark inside though. You can't really tell if it's open from the outside.
Came here with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and it was actually a very nice experience. The service was great; the ambiance was a little loud but not chaotic. I ordered their capri sun drinks which was their twisted peach ice tea. It was not too sweet and the right amount of strong liquor. When I checked in, I was able to order a free side so I ordered their Brussel sprouts to enjoy with half a pound of shrimp and half a pound of mussels with their claw daddy special sauce (mild). I was a bit disappointed that the food came in a small pot instead of in a bag, I feel like the bag preserves the sauce and the flavor. The mussels and shrimp was very good but the Brussels sprouts were definitely the winner of the whole meal. They were roasted and just melted in your mouth. I would return if I'm in the area.
I've been here many times and the service is always great and the waiters are always friendly. The happy hour appetizers are great and the drinks are usually strong. However I came on a Tuesday night and I had one of my worst experiences dining out in a very long time. We ordered some drinks and appetizers for happy hour. I ordered a cocktail and my friend ordered a mock tail When the drinks came out, after all our food mind you, they were both mock tails. We spoke with our waitress tiamara, she began to argue with us. I've never had a waitress argue and gaslight me about what I ordered and basically made up a conversation in her head about what happened. She insisted that she asked us whether or not they were both mock tails but she never asked us about that. I've been going here for years, before and during covid. But If this is how the wait staff is trained to handle a situation like this, then I will not return to this establishment. It would've been so easy to not ruin someone's dinner by arguing with us. The service here used to be great and the food was great too. But it has clearly gone down hill. Tiamara was whispering to all the waiters and no one came to check on us and she made our experience super awkward the rest of the night, The food was good and they oysters are fresh, I guess. But if you want to be yelled at and gaslit for your order this is the place to go. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area where you don't have to be yelled at for your waiter messing up your drink order.
So I really, really, really was craving oysters and ended up last week at Claw Daddy's for happy hour. I started with a Moscow Mule capri sun drink that was on the menu, grilled oysters and the crawfish queso. The oysters were a little disappointing in their lack of meatiness... not sure if that was because they were offered at happy hour? The crawfish queso was better, but needed some spice, and the drink was too sweet. So this sexy guy seated near me at the bar suggested that I have an off-the-menu drink, which I cannot remember the name of because he bought me several lol, but it and our bartender, Ryan were priceless. The sexy silver fox buys me wings, and gator bites... enjoyable, crispy wings. I tried to like the alligator bites, but I wasn't excited and decided that they were just okay. The happy hour vibe was chill, and I enjoyed the off-the-menu drink, but I was not impressed by the oysters, which is the main reason I went to Claw Daddy's. I am hoping that the rest of the menu is as great as those chicken wings.
Arrived on a Sunday with a reservation at around 12:30PM, and the entire restaurant was empty. More guests started arriving later. We kicked off with some drinks, all pretty tasty, and in those adult Caprisun like pouches! We then ordered crawfish poppers, some Brussel sprouts, grilled oysters, and fresh oysters. The oysters tasted fresh, and the grilled oysters were delicious! They don't compare to if you were to get them in New Orleans, but I still recommend them as they're so different from fresh ones, especially if you're not a big fan of the texture of fresh oysters. We continued with crab legs, shrimp, and mussels with the claw daddy's sauce in mild and medium. We added some andouille sausage as well, but I'd say for the 7 of us, it was pretty filling! In terms of sauce, I feel I've definitely had some tastier ones, but I'd still come back to Claw Daddy's for sure!
We recently dined at the Manhattan location of this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! I had previously enjoyed the Brooklyn location, so I wanted my sister to experience it too. Though we intended to return to Brooklyn, a mix-up led us to Manhattan, and they did not disappoint! We enjoyed every dish we ordered, from the chicken for the meat-eater to my favorite grilled oysters, to the boil, fries, and drinks. We ordered quite a bit and took home leftovers. Our server, Segundo, was delightful and very helpful with our choices. There were three of us, and we waited briefly at the bar for the last person to join us. Shoutout to the pleasant bartender! The manager, Tony, greeted everyone at the door, making us feel comfortable as soon as we entered. We will definitely return because the food and staff made it a lovely night. I had the claw boil with the Claw Daddy sauce, mildly spicy--it was so good! The garlic pasta was delicious, and I could eat it every day. The mac and crawfish was creamy and flavorful. The Cajun fries were seasoned to perfection, and the crawfish queso dip is a must-try! My sister enjoyed her chicken wings and the creole shrimp and chicken jambalaya. Just a tip: eat while hot, as it can taste salty when cold. Reheating and having a cold drink works wonders! I highly recommend this restaurant and will visit both locations whenever I crave grilled oysters and claw boils. The music playlist was nice; I'd love to hear some Afro beats next time. The place got super busy after we arrived, but the service remained on point and pleasant. Tip: Check in on Yelp while there to get a free side dish of your choice--super cool, though they only allow one per table.

Came here on Saturday 5/12/18 caught happy hour 1$ wings and 1.50$ raw oysters were great. Good food , good music and fast service. We enjoyed it. Place a lip tight but over all good time. read more

This place has some of the best Cajun seafood you'll find in the city. We ordered the snow crab legs with a side of corn and potatoes and it was really amazing. They also have some great happy hour deals. Our favorite was the Capri Sun cocktail (not pictured here) with rose petals floating in it. The ambience was also nice and cozy. The atmosphere in general was chill and fun to spend a Friday evening at. Definitely will visit again. read more
This is a great place for a group, as the music is loud and the ambiance is bustling. Good vibes, alright food. The lobster isn't very impressive, and the amount of meat feels a tad skimpy compared to what you pay for. The flavor profile was very salty and not too complex or rich. The drinks though, including the mocktails, are tasty. Overall a fun experience; this is the kind of a place you'd go to for a special occasion. read more

Most people love Claw Daddy's for their great seafood, or Lower East Side ambiance. All that stuff is good but I just care about their adult Capri Suns lol. You can choose between 7 different flavors, I always get Just a Dream ( my favorite ). Regularly the drinks are $10 but if you go during happy hour ( 5pm-7:30pm ) you can get it for $7 - and we all love a good happy hour. Now don't get me wrong, they are not the strongest drink you probably will have in your life. They are actually relatively sweet and smooth BUT they will sneak up on you lol. Before you realize it you probably had about 4 and once you stand up you will feel it lol. Im not a big seafood lover, so I don't want to judge the food because I really only go to Claw Daddy's for the drinks. Tip: Claw Daddy's opens up at 5pm and gets crowded quickly ( it be a line outside before it opens ) so call ahead to make a reservation to save yourself the aggravation or opt to sit at the bar. read more

If you a seafood lover like myself you will love this place. They food is the bomb literally lol I order the main lobster with 2 pounds of crab legs, my sides were and corn on the carb. For desert I had some Mac n cheese that they added some additional things to it to spicing it up and it taste delicious! They serve drinks in pouches. It's cute. Something different. A taste of NOLA in NYC... The grilled oysters are amazing the clams I would not recommend unless you like them really chewy. As far as drinks the Jays a dream was amazing. The fried pickles are not bad but too thick for my taste would have been a lot better if they were sliced thinner. The place itself is on the small side. Came for mother's day. The food was amazing. My party of 3 was very happy. Got the lobster, shrimp, and snow crab legs (not in picture). Also got the garlic noodles; they reminded me of Chinese take-out food which I do not eat so could have done without. Would def recommend for food. read more

Kudos to Claw Daddy's for exceeding my expectations on my birthday! I made a reservation weeks in advance for 16 people on Wednesday, November 1st so that we could enjoy their Claw Feast special. The special is $35 per person for food and they have some pretty strict rules, so it's in YOUR best interest to learn about these in advance so that there are no surprises when the check comes. When it came to planning the night, I really appreciated their effortless email communication, transparency, and overall kindness. You have to give them credit for stuff like that because many restaurants do not have their shit together when it comes to event planning. We got there early, so we hung out in the upstairs section where we had some of their adult caprisuns. Some drinks were stronger than others, but they were all delicious! Now the food. So. Much. Amazing. Food. They literally pour bowls of your food all over the table and you cannot help but salivate while they are doing this. That's your best moment to take an IG video. We chose the special sauce for Claw Feast and we all agreed that the sauce had the perfect blend of spice, sweetness, and Cajun flavors. The crawfish was unfortunately out of season, but they compensated with extra shrimp and clams. The crab legs were undoubtedly the best part. And the corn, sausage, and potatoes were also damn good. They might as well call it "all you can eat" because for $35, you certainly get a lot of food for your buck! My God...we couldn't stop eating away at the mounds of delicious seafood in front of us...okay...I am getting hungry again... The staff was a joy to work with. They were the absolute sweetest guys. They knew exactly what they were doing and the place was well-managed. My only minor complaint is that they should add 1-2 non-seafood options to their menu for people who don't like seafood. We had a couple of them in our group and their food choices were very limited. However, they liked what they had and all was great in the end! Time to plan another night there =) read more

What can I say....This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. The first time I came here was for a graduation dinner 3 years ago and ever since then I find any excuse to make a trip here. They play great music, have strong drinks (get the fairytale) happy hour everyday and don't get me start about how good the boil is! Prices have raised since COVID but still not extremely expensive. I will definitely continue to comeback and cannot recommend this spot enough! read more
Full of flavor and fun! I've wanted to try Claw Daddy's ever since going to The Boil. It's a very comparable restaurant in both cuisine and price - both are cajun seafood spots. Claw Daddy's interior is clean and spacious. They had some nice lighting around the restaurant, maybe because it's the holiday season. I was with a group of five folks and we were immediately seated on a Monday at 7pm. We started off with adult caprisuns (flavored soju drinks), which are very fun and tasty. We were in time for happy hour (5-730 week nights), so we ordered grilled clams and grilled oysters, and crabcake fritters to start. Every appetizer was brilliant. The sauce paired with the crabcakes was well made and paired very well with the dish. For the main meal, we ordered a 2lbs of shrimp, 2lbs of clams, and a pound of snowcrab legs, all in a medium spice and claw daddy's special sauce. We ordered two sides of bread, a side of sausage and 3 sides of garlic noodles. I can talk for hours about the garlic noodle. The sauce is fairly tangy and rich in flavor, though it wasn't nearly as spicy as I would have liked it. The shrimp is the best bang for your buck as their shell is lighter than crabs or clams. All seafood was fresh, and if you order more than 2lbs, they give you potatoes and corn. The corn is a must-try in that sauce. The GARLIC NOODLES !!!! I would get them 100x over. They're hot, super garlicky, cheesy, and just a pile of goodness. We couldn't stop eating them and kept ordering more. It's also a nice palette cleanser from all the seafood doused in the rich sauce. All in all, Claw Daddy's is a fun and messy experience. I would definitely go again, but I'd choose to go to The Boil over it only because the special Claw Daddy's sauce was personally, a little too salty. read more

This establishment did not disappoint me or my husband at all. My Cajun crawfish and shrimp pound were amazing, literally finger licking delicious. If you're around I suggest to put yourself on the list walk around and wait for the amazing food. read more

Tip: Make a reservation early ahead of time -- especially if you have a big group if you want to have the"Claw Feast". The Claw Feast is a hefty serving of crawfish, snow crabs, shrimp, and clam (2 lbs of each) and a generous serving of corn, potatoes and sausage on the side. This is all for $35/person with a minimum of 4 people. If you have less than 4 people, you cannot participate in this feast unless you want to pay for 4 people's worth of the feast. You get to choose a type of sauce for your seafood. The most popular options are the Claw Daddy's Special or garlic butter. I chose the Claw Daddy's Special which came spicy (with your preference of spice level). I selected medium but they were not as spicy as I anticipated. The drinks we ordered were the "Adult Capri Suns". They were cocktails with very fruity flavors in a little Capri sun-like pouch. Very delicious and minimal alcohol taste! You get a pair of gloves, paper plate, utensils, a wet wipe and 2 buckets for your shells. You also get a side of bread! Overall, this was an extremely filling meal. Although it wasn't all-you-can-eat, the portion size was almost too much to finish between 4 hungry people. The seafood was very delicious and paired with an excess of sauce: perfect. The service here is adequate. They get you what you need and check up periodically, you can't really ask for more. Would definitely come back if I'm in the mood for a lot of seafood! read more

I will start by saying my rating is due to how the night happened not on food. The food was 5/5. I was recommended this place by 4 coworkers. So I was like okay, time to try. I wanted to love this place just as bad as they did. We arrived around 9 on Friday. The wait we were told wasn't too bad 45 minutes, they took my friends name down and we headed upstairs to this little wait area. We were told that we could order drinks and appetizers. The two girls taking orders upstairs would pass by us, never said hi, never looked our way. It wasn't until I got upset (after 35 min) I had to get up and go to the girl to ask for drinks. Then she didn't want to serve my friend a drink since she didn't have a "proper ID". After an hour and 10 minutes we go downstairs to find out the girl checking people in never took our full information down and put us as an incomplete group. Then she had the nerve to say we never told her, when we were together the entire time ??? Let me add that she didn't bother to look at us while talking. After that she said we have to wait for a table when there was 4 available. That's when I had to say listen lady we waited an hour and 10 minutes when you had our number and never called. A table magically appeared. Then she had the nerve to say the kitchen closes at 11:30 when it's already 10:20 at this point. I was like now you're rushing us and she just laughed and said she has to say that. Like no. We were then seated. Our waiter was amazing. He gave us more attention than any other person working there. I had a pound of shrimp with the garlic sauce and two pounds of snow crab legs with the claw daddy sauce. Both sauces were amazing. Mild is still kinda spicy Si les gustan beber deben pasar por aquí entre las 5 y 7:30. I'm always down for a happy hour and I've gone to Claw Daddy's a few times. The drinks are always on point. I ordered a couple of oysters, chicken wings, baked clams and baked oysters. They were really good. For drinks my fiend and I got Just A Dream and Sweet Georgia. For the prosecco lovers the Sweet Georgia is for you. When the waiter came out with our drinks he realized one of them was incorrect and quickly get it swapped out for us. We also got a pound of crawfish and head-on shrimp. Mild sauce. My one problem was that this wasn't mild at all. It was more of a medium spice than mild. We ordered 2 pounds because we would get potatoes and corn. We got 2 red potatoes and 2 quarters(?) of corn? Personally, I didn't think it was worth it. I'll stick to just one pound next time. I went here on a Wednesday for the Claw Feast (1/2 lb of crawfish, clams, crab, and shrimp per person + bread, corn, potato, sausage). Overall, I think it was worth the experience, but I wouldn't go again. The clams and shrimp were good, but the crawfish was questionable and the crab tasted a little funky. We got the Daddy's Special Sauce which is a combination of all the other sauces. Was more salty than it was flavorful. Also if you like spice, don't get mild. It needed some spice, but our waiter warned us that the next level was very spicy. I definitely prefer picking my own combination, which I will probably do if I ever go back. Our batch also wasn't steaming hot the way it was for other patrons, but this wasn't a big deal... Service was great and fast. The ambience is great and the music is loud. It helps when you're quietly sitting at the table not speaking at all and stuffing your face with seafood. Table has a 90 minute limit. We were eating the entire time and still cut it pretty close. read more
Ordered the baked clams and the popcorn crawfish and the special for lobster night. Let me start by saying that the baked clams are a must, they were so good we order 12 and it was not enough. The popcorn dish was not one of my favorites considering that i am not a big fan of fried food but it was good to share and just to pick on something while we waited for the table. The lobster night special was just the right amount of food, the sauce was delicious (lemon pepper) and had the perfect kick to it. Will definently go back and eat it again and again. read more

Stop by during lunch time! Claw Daddy's offers happy hour specials on their adult Capri suns and select food items. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and had a reservation in advanced. Originally the hostess told my party and I that we would have a 2 hour limit but given that it wasn't super crowded after that timeframe, we were able to hang around and order extra drinks. Highly recommend the crawfish Mac and cheese. It had this hint of smokiness most likely from bacon. Didn't think we'd be able to finish the whole thing but it was so good that it actually left us wanting more. For entrees, we ordered the shrimp and crab legs with their special Claw Daddy's sauce. can't wait to go back! read more

Once my friend laid eyes on the alcoholic capri suns, the decision of where to eat was set. We ordered the shrimp, clams, and crab legs with potatoes, corn, and sausages in a medium spicy claw daddy sauce and in a garlic butter sauce. Happy hour specials included $1 oysters, $1.50 grilled oysters and clams, and $8 capri suns so we got those too. Definitely get the claw daddy sauce as it was the more flavorful of the sauces. Those who can't take spice might want to steer away from getting anything other than a mildy spicy sauce. The capri suns were strong for a lightweight like myself. As a sufferer of the Asian flush, a few sips were all it took for me to glow a bright red. Service was a bit slow but it's a good place for a group get-together. Though everything was tasty, the Boil and Hot n Juicy will remain my go-to spots for a satisfying seafood boil. read more
Came by to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. My friend had made a reservation for a party of 6 beforehand for 7pm. We were seated quickly once 6/7 of the party was here. We quickly ordered the happy hour drinks ($7 adult caprisuns) before it ended since it was ending at 7:30. There was also 1.50 grilled oysters & clams, 1.00 oysters and wings. I had read previous reviews on yelp about the adult caprisuns, so I ordered the Blush & Mardi Gras. My other friends ordered blush, Mardi Grass, Just a Dream, Hummin and my other friend ordered raspberry buckwheat beer. I personally thought blush barely had any taste to it, but it did have lychee bits in it. I didn't like the Mardi Gras at all. I tried my friend's Just a Dream and it tasted really good, it tasted like pina colada! Raspberry buckwheat beer tasted pretty good too. We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp, clams and snow crab legs. We had to order 2 lbs worth of food in order to get the potato and the corn with it. We got the claw daddy special sauce and we got the spicy level at medium. The food took a little while to come about 20-30 mins probably, but once the food came out all at once. We had bibs and gloves and the utensils on the table beforehand and of course we had to put all those bibs and gloves on. We aimed for the snow crab legs first, it was definitely really tasty. The clams had really heavy shells, but it tasted pretty good. The shrimp definitely had the most flavor to it. The claw daddy special sauce was so good, I tasted some garlic in it. The corn had a lot of flavor to it, while the potato was a huge potato that wasn't cut apart, I felt like that was why it didn't have too much taste to it. Overall the experience of eating with my hands and trying it out was pretty good. Our total came out to be around $200 for 6 people, which wasn't too bad. Claw Daddy's is decent. I ordered a pound of shrimp and combined all the seasonings and made it spicy. The shrimp itself had no flavor and was just drenched with sauce which was unappealing. I have been to other crab boil restaurants where the seafood is infused with the flavors of garlic, pepper and old bay. Flavor is key and Claw Daddy's just didn't do it for me. Hot N Juicy is way better in my opinion. Only good part is that the drinks are amazing! If I do go again, would only do drinks and finger food. read more

Claw daddy is the place to be if you are craving seafood, especially crawfish. I made a reservation for two on Friday at 6 pm through the yelp app and everything was perfect. The food, music, service, atmosphere, and DRINKS! Happy hour: adult Capri sun for $7 and grilled oysters for $1 Appetizer: grilled oyster, Cajun fries, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was completely amazing and tasteful. My friend never had Brussel sprouts and she LOVED IT. It was grilled and flavor. It had a taste of butter but the flavors blended in. The grilled oysters was delicious and cheap, we ended up ordering 20. Cajun fries were like any other Cajun fries but it's hard to be impressed when you have so many other options. My friend and I ordered 1/2 lb of shrimp and crawfish with their special sauce; DEVINE! We couldn't finish the bag like we planned to but it came with potatoes and corn. I truly believe we made the right decision in getting their special sauce cause it has a hint of every flavor you want. For the adult capri sun, we started off with just a dream which stole my heart completely. Then we had the marde gras, a little stronger but honestly not bad at all. If you're debating whether to go here or the boil, Just go to the boil... the food was so mediocre. The medium seasoning was so hot I couldn't enjoy my food and the mild had no kick to it. The Dungeness crab was not sweet at all, actually just tasted like water. Very disappointing. The grilled oysters And sweet potato fries were good and so were the deviled eggs... skip the adult Capri sun too... they were strong for someone who drinks all the time but not tasty at all. There's so much more I could write but this place lacked well everything. The atmosphere was boring the drinks sucked the food tasted weird and worse of all.... I spent over $200 on a meal for twonot including tip. This isn't a 5 star restaurant there's no reason I should be spending this type of money at a bland mediocre seafood spot. read more

Yes. The last time I had the feast it was 3 people dining but we still paid the 4 people price. Things may have changed but I suggest giving a call in advance.

Yes they are! When I went there I got the shrimp and lobster, absolutely delicious!

Yes there is a regular menu so you can order individual items like the clams and oysters raw or grilled, different sides like Mac and cheese etc and do the shrimp, clams, crab by the pound as well. Each pound of the seafood with the different sauces…
Are grilled oysters served other than happy hour? If so how much?
