Really laid back, divey spot. We came with a large group of friends and our server was so accommodating and kind. She went above and beyond. I ordered the lobster roll and thought it was just ok- but ultimately, will definitely be returning!

I knew it was going to be a good time when we arrived and there was a group of people trying to figure out how to get inside, and the friend that brought me showed us all the trick of getting the door open. That's when I discovered that smack in the middle of the Seaport District (one of the most touristy parts of Manhattan), hidden in plain sight behind a tricky door is in fact a legendary dive bar. Not only are the prices here far and away better than the surrounding establishments, but the maniac behind the bar will pour you shots of whiskey on the house. Over, and over again. I ended up ordering some food to soak up all the extra liquor I hadn't planned on imbibing, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wings, the fried rice, and the scallion pancakes. All excellent, and the latter two are not things I normally expect to eat at dive bars. As we stumbled out, the bartender shook his head disapprovingly at our inability to handle 4-5 shots of whiskey in rapid succession (after a long evening of drinking just before), "You're not in Fishmarket shape." Well, I guess I'll have to get in Fishmarket shape, and I'll be back.

This place is packed How do they still get drinks on time, food hot, and a free shot??? Listen, I have lived in the shadows of Manhattan my whole life. I have eaten at the best and worst places This is hands down the best fried rice ever!!!! Wings were great Everyone is friendly Including the customers I'm coming back

Best Crispy Fried Rice!

Market itself as a dive bar. That works if you want to spend $6.50 for a can of miller lite at 5:30 pm on a Monday.

Surrounding TVs keep every play, fight and miracle replayed in glorious surround-sass while wooden tables beg for pitchers, pretzels and conspiracy theories about the ref. Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. Delaney's drinks are personality-packed, with her behind the bar, the place doesn't just serve drinks -- it gets its personality back. It's a place off 8th ave where fitness meets fun, and every corner feels like home--complete with friendly staff who know your name (or at least your size) and are always ready to offer a witty comeback or a perfect recommendation. Cheers!

Taking off a star because I had a weird experience with the people at the front. I'm currently recovering from an injury and I'm in a pretty obvious neck brace. I was visiting with two people who were on their way and would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes and the people at the front told me I couldn't be seated until they arrived. I understand that this is normal protocol, but I pointed out my neck brace and asked if an exception could be made because it's significantly more comfortable for me to sit down (and there was no room at the bar). They said that their manager wouldn't let them do that, and that they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there. There were tons of table tables available the entire time and when my friend arrived about 12 minutes later, they seated us, I totally could've sat the whole time and it wouldn't have been a problem. Not the end of the world and I probably could've pushed it harder, but it definitely was a little awkward!

This place did get very packed so be warned that you'll have to get here early to grab a table. The atmosphere was incredible and so friendly. I showed up an hour and a half early before the event I went to "started", got a seat at the short (Ada compliant) bar and settled in to grab a drink or two before everything started. It took 45 mins for someone (2 people were working) to actually make it down to our side on the bar, everyone I was sitting with, including the tables, wanted to order. The girls next to me said they got there 15 mins before me. If I wasn't here specifically to watch a show with other people in my community I would have left. An hour for a drink!?!?! I took it on the chin and just ordered 2 drinks, which was great because an hour and a half (we ordered the second time after the show started) later they finally came back. Not sure if I would end up coming back, which is sad because I love a watching professional women's sports and this place was made for it but not worth the wait times.
