One wanted to replace the entire unit, the other wanted to replace a bypass valve and add another duct and vent in the attic. NEITHER of these 'guesses' were accurate! Armor came in and did some trouble shooting. Instead of trying to throw parts at it, the investigated and found the problem. I am sooo grateful for Armor and the great job they did. This literally saved me thousands! The problem was a manual valve that had moved to the closed position over time and was not allowing the cool air upstairs. I almost trusted the wrong company. The manual valve shouldn't have been in there in the first place and Armor still caught it! Many, many thanks to Eric, John, Payton and Cade! Armor Heating and Air will always be my first call and will always get my highest recommendations!!! Call them! You will be glad you did!!!

During the recent cold snap that came through, our furnace went out. Anderson Air responded…read morerelatively quickly, getting a technician on site that Sunday afternoon who diagnosed the issue as the heat exchanger. It clearly had cracks rusted in the pipes and needed to be replaced. Monday - the supply house was closed Tuesday - the part was not in stock and had to be ordered Wednesday - heat exchanger replaced, then realized the control board had a short that also required a replacement Thursday 3:30 PM - finally got the furnace working again. We have 4 small kids at home, and my wife is pregnant - we were without heat for 5 full days, and Anderson's response was not urgent. Subsequently, the Heat Exchanger was covered under warranty and we were hit with a $2,300 bill for "labor". After asking for clarity this generic line from their pricing sheet included labor, "other parts" and refrigerant among other things. We were charged to refill the refrigerant when the heat exchanger was replaced... This is a reflection of faulty management, and taking advantage of customers. We will not be using them again.

For the rental home, I purchased a brand new heating/cooling system from Paschal, this being before I knew about Kinty. My personal home ended up having a starter issue with the a/c. I called KJ and they came out and had it running in no time. Shortly afterwards, my rental had an issue with their brand new unit. The thermostat kept shutting off and thus, not working. It shut the whole system down. They have small children. When I called Paschal, I got a call center. The girl stated that she couldn't give me an idea when they could come out as it was a Friday. When I told her this was a brand new unit and they have small children, she stated that it didn't matter, there was nothing she could do about it. I called Kinty and told them what happened, they were out before the day was over! The diagnosis... the piping was installed incorrectly. This past summer, I had to have a new thermostat in my own home. They were really swamped but assured me they would be here before the day was over. Sure enough, 7pm!.... they came. Their tech was friendly, apologetic for being late, and had my thermostat installed in no time! Please call Kinty Jones before you call anyone else! He said he had accepted another Service Manager's position at American A/C & Mechanical. Welp, I had another fantastic episode with Eric. He came out, had me back up and running in less than an hour. I don't know how I have gotten this lucky so far, but I have Eric at American A/C & Mechanical to thank for it. The technician that they sent out was very cordial, very prompt and gave me the estimate for running a gas line. He couldn't give me an estimate on the conversion but he said he would look into it and get back to me either that day or the next day.
