I love this place. It's such a nice and calm bakery, with so many items to choose from. Have bought bagels, sweets, and coffee. All have been amazing. The service has always been friendly and fairly quick when it gets busy. Not to mention the prices are still affordable compared to everywhere else. The food here is pretty good. The bakery is very large, they have a good number of tables and a few booths, but I went during lunch, so it was busy! They have sooooo many desserts that all look delicious. I ordered a turkey pesto sandwich and asked for the lettuce on the side so I could have the sandwich pressed. I ordered the bagel chips (never do that because why!) but the other option was the pasta salad. The menu says potato salad, but it's actually a pasta salad. I substituted the baked good that comes with it for a red velvet cookie. It was veryyyy good. The turkey pesto was just okay because they hardly had any pesto on the sandwich! The oil from the pesto didn't soak through the bread, so that should have been a sign that there was no pesto in sight. Don't know what that was about, but besides the bagel chips being a bad choice for me and the sandwich being dry, I liked this place lol read more

The pastries here are very good. I have tried the danishes, sandwiches, and cookies. But the customer service? Not so sweet. I've been in twice now and both times the vibe was cold and unwelcoming. I am not sure of the reason for the cold reception given that I am pleasant and tipped on each visit. It's disappointing, especially for a neighborhood spot with so much potential. Spent 10 minutes in this bakery and wish it existed in my home town. Road trip: order dozen Black & Whites 24 hours a head of time. They were ready on time. Noon on the dot. This place has so much more. Coffee. Lunch. Cakes. Jams Italian espresso ice cream. I was happy to see that they have whole cakes available for purchase without preordering. In addition to cakes, they have breads, jellies, cheese straws, and a variety of other baked goods. After looking through all their items, I decided on a shadow cake ($14.95), sourdough bread ($4), cheese straws($4.85), and pomegranate jelly ($7.50). A little pricy, but comparable to similar bakeries. The shadow cake was too sweet for our taste. The bread and cheese straws were delicious. We would recommend this bakery to others! read more

I have been here a hundred times, closest thing I can find to a Calandras (Fairfield, NJ) style bakery in the south and its in my town! Daily fresh bake from pastry to donuts to cakes to breads! It's also a Coffee and Sandwich shop, the sandwiches here are perfect! For that matter so is everything else. If you want a good bakery in the Triangle then Clayton bakery is the spot! I have to drop my rating from a 5 to 1. My husband ordered a quiche with a side pasta salad. The staff brought him only the quiche. Another staff argued with him and said the pasta salad was no longer included with a quiche. That's fine but he paid for the pasta salad. Spend $25 and have a staff member argue with you. Also, we saw a dead cockroach on a chair next to us and two under the tables. Dirty floors. How did they score a 100? The roaches must have been hiding on inspection day? Done with them. read more

I love this place! It is located in a small strip shopping/business center off Hwy 70 and you might be tempted to just pass by but don't do it! This is my go-to for fresh bagels and a great selection of coffees/lattes - I am usually here once a week. They also have a wide selection of cakes, pastries, cookies, cupcakes. Everything that I have tried has been delicious. I have had lunch here once and it was very good - mainly sandwiches and salads on the menu and all ingredients were very fresh. Not sure what they serve for breakfast but I know they have many varieties of bagels, muffins, and pastries. Note they are closed on Sun and Mon. read more

I ordered the vegetable plate and everything tasted like it was came right out of a can. The owner needs to train her staff better for clients with food sensitivity issues. My husband ordered the country fried steak sandwich on 9 grain bread and it arrived on a bun. He said it was just okay. They could do a lot better for what they are charging. I was so happy when I discovered this is just around the corner from my house. My family and I love the cookies and lemon bars. My personal go to item is the apple fritter. The coffee is fine, but I'm a Starbucks kind of girl. My sister was very happy with her latte though! I love that they offer lunch boxes with home made bagel chips and their dessert of the day! I call this place our guilty pleasure because the bake goods are amazing but as you would expect lots of butter cream and sugar makes for something delicious but calorie intense. Customer service has become a weak area for the bakery. As a longtime customer of many years, I have recently been spoken to rudely by employees and have had simple requests rudely refused, such as employees refusing to cut a pastry cut in half ("I'm not going to do that anymore!), then marching to the dining room to grab a plastic knife and hand it to me ("You can cut it yourself on the table there"), embarrassing me in front of other customers. In future I will go out of my way to avoid doing business with the bakery. read more

It's a shared space with a coffee bar, so you can get your favorite latte which you indulge in a slice of cake or a pastry.
