Stopped in here back in June while running an errand in Elk. It was a hot day and there was a line of people waiting for their ice cream. The ice cream was perfect on a hot day. The kids behind the counter were kind and were hustling. BUT the place needs some work. It needs a good cleaning and could use some upgrades! read more

I used to love coming here (lived in the neighborhood all my life) but ever since new management took over, the place is filthy and not at all food-safety conscious. I saw an employee stick his fingers in his mouth before handling my milkshake. I do love having an ice cream place so close to home but with sticky counters, sauces caked on the dispensers, and questionable food handling practices, I'm a lot less inclined to go there. I would be happy to return to being a regular if they'd clean up their act. read more

We went to the Ram June 20 and had a pretty awful experience. We made our order for 2 double cheeseburgers deluxe, tater tots, a small fries, and 2 waters. We waited 30 minutes for our order as we watched groups of people who came in after us get their food, eat and leave. Finally my husband went to the counter to find it what happened to our order. They said they were cooking the tots-which doesn't take 30 min. Shortly after, they came out with our food except it was missing a burger and the burger they gave us was not what we ordered. The fries were pathetic, limp and not crispy and under cooked. We went back to the counter and discussed the problem. They said they would redo the order. Our food came again and once again, the burgers were wrong!! At this point it is ridiculous! Finally they brought us 2 correct burgers and offered a free ice cream if we would like one. Third times a charm! I heard another man ask for ketchup from the dispenser and it was empty. I asked for chocolate ice cream and they were out. Garbage bins were full to the max but staff had time to stand around laughing and talking. Maybe focus on the job at hand. read more

we have been going here forever and each day it just keeps going downhill, my husband and I went through the drive through and got a bag of burgers, when we got home every single patty was burnt, there was one pickle, and a dot of condiments and when I say a dot a mean a dot, every single burger was like this. we will not be going here again this just keeps happening every time we stop by. read more

We love going to the ram. The food is usually so good! We hit it on our way home from Camping today like always do and were disappointed. They have a big sign that says they are thankful to still be in business and thankful for their customers, but the customer service gives the opposite message. The food was still good, but the young girl who took our order was rude, Impatient, and missed part of our order. We waited over 15min for our food (which we kind of expected, because it's made to order), but then when she handed us our food she couldn't shut the window fast enough. We had to stop her to ask for sauces- then she told us she couldn't give us that much without charging us but didn't give us the option to pay for them. She basically eliminated the option to pay for more and just gave us what she could for free. Then we pull away and my husbands food was missing. Checked the receipt and she didn't even ring his up. At that point we had waited so long that we just left. My husband and I just split my burger and we moved on. Like I said, we always stop here and will continue to do so, but hopefully next time the person who helps us is having a better day. read more

My wife went in to get food while I was parked in our 5th wheel at Conoco next door. She got our food to go. She said place was old but clean. Wife did not like her cheeseburger and fries even though asked for extra crispy fries, they were not extra crispy. I liked my chicken sandwich, it had lots of mayo in it and onion rings not bad. We have driven past this place on Hwy 2 for years & years before finally stopping, now it's become a MUST STOP every time, even if it's just for milkshakes. Did I say milkshake! Yeah! Worth every single calorie, but you can justify it by saying you ate a serving fruit since huckleberry is a fruit. (Wife loves the malts even better) As for the burgers? Cannot say enough good about them! Juicy, fresh, hot, delicious! Almost too much food for me (but I'll still order the same thing every time). If you are in Spokane and you want to take a beautiful drive East on Highway 2 you will come to Ram Drive-Inn in Chattaroy Washington. The Drive-Inn strategically is situated across the street from Riverside High school, which seems like that is not only their main source of employment but customer service throughout the year. I have been coming to this little Drive-Inn since I moved here 10 years ago. Not much has changed, except for a few specials on the menu. This place feels like you stepped back 15 years ago. The interior could use some updating, but I look at this as small town charm. As long as the establishment is clean, not dangerous, and equipment is properly functioning then there is no need to upgrade until it is broken. I live less than 10 minutes from the Ram. It is my favorite spot to go during the summer for a huckleberry cone or shake. But really I come for the huckleberry dipped cones. The dipped cone is HUGE! Even the small size. I always share with my husband. I love the onion rings, while my husband has to get tots. The food is really fresh, and made to order. Expect your order to take a minimum of 5-15 minutes depending on what, and how large your order was. The wait time increases substantially during the busy seasons. Summers especially create long wait times, incorrect orders, cold food, and poor customer service. The Ram Drive-Inn runs on a tight employee schedule, that looks to hire young workers (high school and college). I have seen this a lot at other food establishments in Deer Park, Old town, and Newport. Unfortunately, when you put a majority of young employees together in a working environment customer service does decline. If I just rated the quality of the food on a normal day I would give it a solid 4. Unfortunately, the Ram Drive-Inn cannot deliver this level of consistency even on slower times. That is why I had to rate them a 3 star. If they worked on training their existing employees (including managers), and scheduled more workers on the busier times that would improve the Drive-Inn's business. If you are in the mood for crispy tots, sizzling onion rings, juicy burgers, and huge dipped cones then drive down to the Ram Drive-Inn. Be patient because everything is made to order. Don't forget to ask for any sauces or napkins you might want. Lastly, double check your order to make sure it's correct. read more

First time. Although a very long wait, with not alot of cars in the drive-thru, it was well worth the wait. My Burger was cold, I was asked to wait in the front parking lot and was re-made with no questions asked. Very friendly staff. Good ol' fashioned Burger and Tater Tots very yummy! The filthiest restaurant I've ever been to in my entire life!! Months of dried ice cream and dirt running down the front of ice cream machines. up until recently this place was great however, within the last month the last few times I've been here I've been completely disgusted by how the employees have treated me. Specifically the drive thru. i ordered a large Sundae was charged over 7 Dollars for what they tried to give me which was a small cup of ice cream. that's more then what it cost to get a large milkshake. when I brought it to the little gals attention who was working the window she was DISGUSTINGLY RUDE to me. after she dangled the spoon she was handing me, way above and out of my reach I politely thanked her and she returned with a "ya bye" as she slammed the drive thru window shut. - needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. never eating from here again read more

They over charged me. They slammed the window in my face 4 times. They gave me the wrong order and then yelled at me when I tried to correct the order. They said "everything is all wrong in here today" but they seem to charge extra for that. The food was a mess and the service truly horrible. This appears to be an issue that could be resolved with some adult supervision and a little midol maybe. But these girls should not be allowed to represent anyone's business or interact with polite society in any way while they're acting like this. I disputed all three charges because they total more than double what the menu says my lunch should have cost me and they refused to give me a receipt and were too nasty to try and talk to about it any further. Burgers are meat, cheese, and bread. Not even a drop of mayo. Completely dry. The dog choked on it. No ketchup or anything for the fries either. Club sandwich was pickle juice soaked break with ham as the only meat. Soggy vinegar ham. Yummy. I paid over $60 for this sloppy mess and to get yelled at in the process. I took a pic of the menu and added up about $35 They refuse to provide receipts for the two charges on my card while I was there and somehow managed to charge it a third time after i left! They're really good at rolling their eyes and slamming the window. Evidently pretty good as swiping card numbers too. But the food and service suck and charging my card a third time after I left, was theft. Lousy food. Low class employees. And theft! We went to McDonald's in Newport. I go here whenever I visit family and normally I would go inside, but then I was in a rush so I went through the drive-through. I pull up in the drive-through and I go to the speaker and I am sitting there wondering if anybody's gonna say anything but nobody says anything so I start yelling hello excuse me hello hello and nobody's answering and so I sit there for another five minutes and then I go to the window at the window nobody's coming out. I sit there for another 10 minutes and a teenager comes out and says what do you want? I said I have been yelling at the speaker for a while now and nobody's answering me. He's like yeah we're under staff. I was like oh OK. I'm still trying to be nice I'm not trying to be rude and so I was like can I just get a small fry then and he's like yeah that'll be blank how much money it is and so I give him the money and he comes back out. He's like hey just make sure, don't do that again and you need to pull forward to the umbrella and so I do and I am blocking the way of other customers and so I pull forward a little more and about five minutes later I get my fries. The customer service is so bad and the workers have attitude will not go again. I spent 30 minutes in a drive-through just for some fries. read more

Tried this restaurant. First impression was okay. Floors of dining area needed to be thoroughly cleaned. Drink station needed to be serviced and cleaned. Counter staff were friendly and respectful, able to answer questions about menu. Food was good, had a Ram Burger and Onion Rings. The Ram is a great place. It takes a bit longer than McDonald's etc., but that is because they are not giving you food that has been sitting out waiting to be served. They are making your food after they receive your order, and it is worth the wait. Have been coming to the Ram with friends and family for years and cannot remember a bad meal/experience. The shakes are very good, especially the PB and Huckleberry. The burgers are fries are excellent, and ice cream cones are only 99 cents with a purchase. The service is always very good and the employees are cordial even towards closing time. Overall, one of my favorite places. I hope it remains open for years to come! read more

I saw the jalepeno burger option and thought I'd give it a try they sell milkshakes also so I ordered a butterscotch... wow the burger was fire!!! Tasty can't say it was super hot cause I was sucken down the very tasty shake! We normally love to stop in for a shake and/or burgers on our way up the lake. As a family of 6 that ends up being good money spent at this little hole in the wall. More than once I have had the wrong order but let it go. This time I had to contact someone. Yesterday on my way back into Spokane I stopped for a quick burger. That quick burger became a 35 minute wait in the drive through. It took 12 minutes from ordering to being handed my food. I ordered the bacon burger and what I got instead was a kids size cold cheese burger with a slice of unmelted kraft cheese. Not a $7 burger, I've had a better cheap kids burger from a Wendy's. Sure they are busy often but the lot was pretty open and I went for the drive through. If shakes take that long to make they should be walk in only, it's absolutely insane to make a customer wait 35 minutes trapped in the drive through for a child's burger. I tried calling multiple times, no answer, goes straight to a recording like it's a home answering machine. As I left a message someone picked up the phone, silently held It for a few moments and then hung up. I had to call back to leave me number for a call back. No call back to me ever happened and since I paid cash there is no follow up. Really disappointed with the lack of management and communication. I love supporting small businesses but I doubt this will be one I return to. read more

The food has gone downhill so much so that my husband and I won't eat here anymore. We both felt ill the last two times we have eaten there. The milkshakes are good and the kids still eat like it though. Sent my oldest to get them food and milkshakes and he came home with two missing burgers so I sent him back to get them. They told him that they remember making them and only replaced one . I ended up having to go, now for the third trip there, and get to the bottom of it. The cook gal said she knows she cooked them and put them in a bag, well it must have been the WRONG bag because they weren't in ours. She was pretty snotty and accused my son of lying. We used the drive-thru on a trip we were on. 1. We asked for a grilled Turkey and cheese sandwich. They said no problem. We got a cold non-grilled one. 2. Ordered a jalapeño cheese burger with one extra beef patty. We were charged for 2 extra beef patties. 3. We were asked if we needed any sauces. We said ketchup and ranch. They charged us for 3 ranch, but never said they charged for them. 4. ALL OF THE FOOD WAS COLD. Yet it took them 15 minutes to get the order out. This place is everything that McDonald's is not. It takes a few minutes to get your food and you can probably find a less expensive burger somewhere... But do you really want the cheapest food you can find? This place is classic small-town americana in culinary form. Locals gather here after every football, baseball and basketball game to dive into a ram burger with either tater tot's or onion rings. The milkshakes are all made fresh. The place is staffed by the locals who do a fantastic job getting fresh food out in a reasonable timeframe. When you stop in here always see at least five people you know. read more
