My Family practitioner referred Dr. Clayton to give me an examination. Dr. Clayton's secretary, Susan, set up the appointment by phone. However She failed to ask us any questions, never asked about our insurance, etc. so we assumed the doctor accepted the same insurance since it was a referral at the same hospital and all records forwarded.
When we arrived at the hospital The secretary , Susan, informed us that our insurance was not acceptable. When we asked her why she didn't ask us what insurance we had when we set up the original appointment she said we did give her the information and it was Blue Cross Blue Shield, an insurance we never never never had. Not only did she lie about saying we spoke about insurance on the phone when it was never mentioned but she also lied about a company we do not have. So, I lose a days work had to get a babysitter which cost me money and still have a problem that has not been taken care of because of a woman who cannot ask simple questions. You would think a professional who does this every day would have certain questions to ask a patient, especially a new patient. Instead of admitting she was wrong she copped an attitude.
As an addendum anyone who thinks Obamacare is wonderful never has anything seriously wrong. My wife and I had great insurance until Obamacare. My wife has cancer and no coverage. I have a problem and no one takes this insurance. Thank you Obama! read more
