They have several places to eat a nice meal as well as places for dessert. There was a huge Spirit Halloween store, a Baskin Robbins, Leslie's Pool Supplies, Lucky's Grocery Store, The Kreamery & Bake Shoppe, McCoulou's Department Store, Fiore Italian Restaurant, the UPS store, and many other stores. I loved the variety of stores that they had to offer. There were plenty of parking spots throughout the shopping center, which was really nice. I would definitely stop by here again, the next time we are in the area.

Oak Hills Shopping…read more This is an area that caters to those living in the Bay Point/Pittsburg area. There always a large flow of people here from morning to evening. It's never been completely full where parking is impossible but on some hours of the day don't expect to find close parking to the store you want to go especially if you want to go to Safeway. People usually come here to go to Safeway. It's the only Safeway in town. The others are in Antioch and Concord. I feel like everyone in Pittsburg goes. No matter what hour it is freaking busy. What's around? Safeway as I mentioned, but there's also a Dollar Tree and a Rite Aid. We got Chase as the only bank there. A hair cut place is there. There's two Mexican restaurants, a Subway, Burger King, and a Round Table. It's a fairly good place for the surrounding neighborhoods. Never had an issue here regarding the safety of myself or my car.

It's a tiny shopping center located off of Gregory lane right between the Contra Costa Canal trail and the nearby Zio Fraedo's restaurant. There are two main reasons why I frequent this Plaza: 1) La Mordida Mexican restaurant And 2) Mirage Nails I'm completely addicted to La Mordida! I started coming here over a year ago and it has quickly become my favorite hole in the wall Mexican spot! Recently, I discovered Mirage Nails next door and have started coming here to get my nails done. It's the perfect combo, right?! Pamper myself with a mani and then right after, pamper myself with some Mexican goodness. Yep... this is why I can't stay away from Sandalwood! I'll admit that I haven't visited any of the other businesses in this plaza quite yet, but there really isn't too much else going on in there. There's a bike shop across the way that's been for quite sometimes. There's also a fitness center, a yoga place, a day spa, and a liquor store. Not sure if I'll be visiting any of these businesses anytime soon, but I'm sure I'll end up hitting up a few of them in the future since I come to this shopping center about once a week or so. There's always parking available in their parking lot since this a plaza that is far less frequented than many others in the neighborhood. However, parking can be tight since the lot is small. All in all, it's a nice local shopping center with a great Mexican restaurant and a nice nail salon.

Bargain Hunting Day at Marshalls - Episode 3, the Final Episode!…read more This was our final Marshalls stop of the day--and let me tell you, it couldn't have come soon enough for me. (If you've read my last two Marshalls stores reviews on this day, you'll know my supporting enthusiasm for bargain hunting had reached its limit! :-) That said, even in my bargain-fatigued state, I could see why my significant other was excited about this one. According to her, this Pleasant Hill location had the best selection of the day--and judging by the crowd, plenty of others agreed. It was the busiest of the three stores we visited, and while that meant things were a bit scattered (thanks to customers leaving items everywhere), the merchandise itself was impressive. I spotted a lot of familiar brand names on everything from shoes to clothes to home goods. This store seems like a solid place to find quality items without paying full price. While she was happily exploring, I hung out near the entrance and ended up chatting with a couple of staff members. Even though they were clearly busy, they were still answering questions and helping customers with genuine smiles. It was actually kind of fun to watch. We wrapped up our day with a few more great finds. She was happy--and that's a win in my book.

No, I don't like those at all and they are popping up more and more. People are diving bigger and bigger cars and the spaces are getting smaller and smaller.... what is going on with that? Nobody loitering - looked like a great neighborhood in Concord. Still, would like more interesting stores - I guess San Francisco is the only city to make it so hard for chains to move in?
