I enjoy the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays. There's many vendors around ONE BLOCK of Todos Santos. They have fruits, vegetables, flowers, desserts, breads and food tents. It's a family atmosphere and nice people. You can park on the streets or in the parking building for free. During this visit, I decided to check-out their Thursday's Music and Market event from 6:30pm-8:00pm. I was amazed how many families and dogs (on leash) having a fun time. It was a like a big picnic for the community. It had an electric vibe. The live music was great. There were food tents lined up with different cuisines and other vendors. I decided to stop by the Asian Snow Ice tent and ordered their Mango icee. It was refreshing. I will be back. read more

We spend our Thursday summer nights here for farmers market and music in the park. Great music selection. Every Thursday is a different genre. But it is always such a great band and atmosphere. We came to this park several times to give an honest review. There's street parking or there's a garage one block away. I like that the park is kind of a square and there is stores and restaurants all around. You can also walk around the plaza if you just want to get steps in. My favorite plaza in Concord and for a plethora of reasons! So many restaurants, shops, and lots to do! There is also a little park with slides, benches, and grassy shaded areas for relaxing and picnicking. The perimeter is great for taking a nice walk or even walking your dog and/or pushing that baby stroller around. The farmer's market is held here and they also have Off the Grid on Monday nights with live music. Throughout the summer, they have a live music serious right in the middle of the park! There is always some kind of event going on here. There are still some places that I have yet to go to in this Plaza, but a few of my favorites are: -Taqueria Los Gallos -Tower Grille -EJ Phair Brewing -Half priced books -Loard's Ice Cream -T4 (a newbie) -Baskin Robbins A short walk from the plaza, are some of my other favorites: -Brenden Movie Theaters -La Piñata -Sharetea -Bay Leaf Cafe There's a Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, and an Umpqua Bank all located in this Plaza, so no shortage of ATM's. Most of the people that you'll find in this plaza are locals who live around the area, and everyone is generally friendly. It's the perfect little spot to come to in the summer time because there are so many options available. Parking in the plaza is tough, but there are two parking garages nearby that offer longer term parking for free if you can find one. The dude and I came to Todos Santos Plaza as he raved about this plaza. The dude grew up in the Pleasanton/Concord area and as a kid would come to this plaza with his friends. The plaza is beautiful. It had water fountains, sitting areas and a plethora of shops. It is conveniently located right off the freeway and very close to everything you need. They have sees candy, frozen yogurt shops, clothing stores, restaurants and nice walk ways. We sat by the fountain and relaxed and walked to get some frozen yogurt. Definitely a cute spot for like dates and outings with friends, especially the outdoor dining. There was money in the water fountain so I guess it is kinda like a wishing well. Ample shade for hot days and a nearby movie theater. I definitely enjoyed eating my frozen yogurt at this plaza and enjoying the nice scenery. I believe I took pictures on the other reviews. Overall, a nice plaza to just chill relax and grab a bite to eat! read more

I've always loved Todos Santos (okay, maybe not as much back in the early 90's and the days of the Spirit Poles) - it's home! And luckily for folks that are new to the area, the Plaza keeps getting better and better. Half Price Books, The Old Spaghetti Factory, Taqueria Los Gallos, EJ Phair, and nearby Brendan Theater are classics. The Hop Grenade, Cream, Naan & Curry, and others are newbies that add much-needed diversity and flavor to the scene. It's pretty hard to go wrong at this point. The 4th of July 5K and parade are a must, as are the Farmer's Markets, movie nights, live bands, and KidsFests that happen year round. They even have Off the Grid now! Music is a big part of our family's life. We enjoy anything from jazz ,R&B to the current top 10 on the radio. For example (UP TOWN FUNK)) by Bruno Mars. Music with a good beat so you can get your groove on! So today we are headed to Todos Santos Plaza in the heart of Concord California where we planned to hear a band named Farenhyte 5150 known for their funk and R&B. It took us approximately one and a half hours to arrive at our destination. Parking around the park was difficult but fortunately we found a parking plaza just down the street which was free to park your car. Parking spaces were tight on the first 3 floors so we zoomed to the 4th floor to find very few cars. I like to park somewhere you don't have to worry about someone dinging your car. You know what I mean? The park was beautiful with large trees for shade and park benches spaced throughout the park. We came on a good day because the weather wasn't as hot as expected and they had their farmers market stationed all around the park. The smell of sweet summer fruits filled the air. I couldn't help myself so I bought white nectarines, plums,and peaches. Yum Yum. The day was a total blast! Good food, good music ,and especially the best company! Will certainly be back! read more

Todos Santos Plaza has many personalities. It's a cute little park, one block square, that you wouldn't expect to find in a Bay Area suburb of 120,000 people. It's also Concord's unofficial town gathering place, where residents come to listen to a concert, buy produce, wait for a table at the Old Spaghetti Factory, read your latest find from Half Price Books, hang out after Vineyard Christian Fellowship, eat your ice cream from Baskin-Robbins, let the kids run themselves silly on the playset, or just do nothing but relax. It was pretty nice when I moved here in 1990. But they rebuilt it several years ago, and now it's really nice. Also, word is getting out around the Bay Area about the Thursday night Music & Market Series. It's an eclectic collection of concerts (and movies in August), the schedule is posted by May, and you're certain to find a concert you like. Even if you can't get close enough to the stage, the vibe is enough to make it enjoyable. Some dancing on the edges of the stage, but most people sit and listen. Like has been written, there aren't many unsavory characters, but they are there, so you can't let your guard down completely. This is a centrally located plaza where locals can gather to enjoy the many festivals that take place here, for the children to play, and to attend the weekly farmer's market. The shops and restaurants are situated around the stone and grass area in the center, which makes this small plaza easily walkable. Parking is available on the street as well as in the nearby garage. It was a gorgeous fall afternoon as my husband and I took a stroll around the plaza. The late afternoon crispness of fall was all around us. It was just a great day to be at the park. The fountain was so blue and sparkly. They must have just cleaned it because it was like a dream, how blue and flowing it was. I smelled the faintest odor of bleach around the water. The music that plays from the speakers is a weird touch. I want to find out where they play it from and blast a play list from my IPod. Ill keep it light, don't worry. Crazy, screaming children were everywhere. Running on the grass, swinging on swing sets, jumping over retaining walls. Full throttle childhood debauchery. All the while parents just sitting and chatting. Not a care in the world. We didn't have a care either. It was such a beautiful moment together. read more

Concord was founded under the name of Todos Santos ("All Saints"), a name still borne by this Center City plaza and park, as dedicated by Salvio Pacheco in 1869. This City (also briefly called Drunken Indian at one odd historical point) also achieved prominence in the 19th century when most residents of Pacheco relocated to Concord to avoid the devastation of fire and flood which crippled that Town's formerly booming economy. Todos Santos Plaza encompasses an entire city block and is known for its farmers market, summer concerts, a large number of surrounding restaurants and shops, and a comfortable green space to hang out and people watch. Much of the area immediately around downtown has been redeveloped, with new high-density apartment and condominium projects to take advantage of the close proximity to public transportation and the "vibrant" area surrounding the park. Despite this, some crime-related issues remain that still makes me cautious. One other thing that I remember about the Downtown Concord area were the "Spirit Poles" that were installed in 1989. 91 aluminum rods were erected in a median strip along Concord Avenue by artist Gary Rieveschl of Cincinnati. They became unstable after a few years and were destroyed in 2001. The Spirit poles were part of a large scale public art project that extended down Concord Ave from Market St to Salvio St. It was intended as a "gateway" project into the Todos Santos Plaza area. The concept was to instill a feeling of perpetual motion (up/down & side to side), as you drove along Concord Avenue. This was supposed to represent the continual changes of this area from the local indigenous tribes, to the Spanish settlers, and onward to modern day Concord. So could it be that the lost mojo of former Spirit Poles is keeping me from coming out to Todos Santos Plaza more often? read more

Todos Santos Plaza hosts varjous community events, fairs, farmers market, etc. actually, Todos doesn't, the sidewalks surrounding the Plaza/park does all the hosting. the park/plaza isn't damaged/disfigured by the crowds coming to featured events. this goes for the farmers market. assume other events seldom get the use of the plaza/park itself. it's a good setup, win-win, concord draws potential patrons to a prized commercial district and the homies still get to enjoy the park.. there is metered parking nearby. chances of getting a space depends on how many other parking seekers are in the vicinity.. read more

I could really love this square. Unfortunately, there is a strong degenerate population around Todos Santos. They lay around on table benches and near the neighboring fountain on the north side side of the park. There is some hard drug usage even in the daylight in the same areas mentioned above. The playground is pedophile central. You can often see one or two single unaccompanied males hanging around the playground. Some are even bold enough to sit right on the small playground half-wall. I suggest you use your camera phone and snap pictures of them. sooner or later they might come in handy. I'm not talking about the fathers... I'm talking about the others. They frequently just stare. When twilight approaches the area gets a touch to raucous for families I suggest not visiting much after the sun sets. Concord has failed to make the one area that is supposed to be kid friendly/ family friendly anywhere near it. Maybe stationing a police officer on foot or bike in this area would help. Go to Pleasant Hill or Walnut Creek.after hours. Never let any kid solo wander in this area. read more

Great place for mini festivals and free concerts. I love that concord ca provide this resource for the community. They invite some great talent for the community free of charge. Come out On Thursday's for the farmers market. The have fresh fruit and independent business owners who have creative ideas and great food. Bring $20 bucks and leave with great quality food and produce. Tip: if you don't mind the wait, wait until their its about 30 min to closing. Guarantee all the farmers Charge 50% less for their product. They are tired and want to get rid of it all. Just know that you run the risk of not getting the food you would prefer. Keep in mind most people come here after work so parking can be a bit of a hassle but they have two parking garages. I repeat two parking garages. For some reason, people get all Hung up on one and cause so much traffic. One is next to naan and curry and the other next to the hot dog palace roughly three blocks apart but on the same street. read more

One of my favorite things about being a Concord resident is our downtown Todos Santos Plaza. We attend all sorts of fun events here, enjoy cold beverages in the summer, and there are lots of great places to eat. Vinnie's Bar has drinks and dancing and a fun atmostphere. The "Woman of the Year" award is celebrated here annually inside Pacheco Square. Spaghetti Factory (as crazy as this is) is one of my favorite places and I have great memories of picking this spot for my birthday dinner, through childhood (and, I'll admit) also as an adult. The Farmer's Market and concert series brings lots of locals together and promotes healthy living and buying locally grown produce. And most recently, we ran Concord's Stars and Stripes 5k, which started and ended in TSP. After the run, a parade wrapped around 3 sides of the plaza, and families watched the cars and horses go by while sitting together on sidewalks or under the large, shady trees. There is also a park for children to play, and a pretty gazebo on the large grass area. The no-smoking law is pretty well-enforced. We've seen police patrolling and giving fines for violation of this new law. It's a safe area with free parking in the Salvio Street garage. We regularly come to this area on the weekends. The plaza is very pleasant and lined with restaurants, coffee shops etc. The kids will play for a while in the playground, which is on the small side with limited equipment. It's enough for them to enjoy for half an hour or 45 minutes though. We always take a trip across the street to Half Price Books (our favorite book store) to buy books, and then go to lunch and the myriad of places close by on our way out of Concord. Some of our favorite restaurants are located in the area (Veggie Time, Korea House, The Mediterranean, Saina). Sometimes we stop off at the Mexican market or Ranch 99 for ethnic goodies as well. It's a nice little plaza area with stone bench seating if you happen to want to chillax (aka Chill and Relax) after let's say..Work, After a meal at one of the nearby eateries, Off the Grid ect. They also have regular bench seating if thats what you prefere. Todos Santos I think is located in the best are of downtown Concord. Like really outs near everything you would want to do here in Concord. The grounds is always well maintained and well kept, you always see people having picnics and or letting their children play or dogs running around playing fetch or what not. Out seems to be the perfect date spot, you always see couples walking holding hands or maybe even sitting at one of the benches or tables sharing a scoop of Baskin Robbins or even enjoying a togo meal. Being that it's a stone's throw away from everything, it's very close to the Concord Bart station. There is a Qzar Arcade, A Peets Coffee and Tea and Starbucks all within walking distance. Of course for food, you have The Spaghetti Factory, Naan and Curry, Tower Grill just to mention a few and Off the Grid on Mondays and The Farmers Market on Thursdays. Wow to many good things to mention lol.... For the pub crawler you have Ej Phair, which I may add had excellent food and service as well. Vinnies Bar and Grill that serves great spirits. The Tower Grill, another place with great drinks and food, and the new Grant St. Pub and pizzeria which is located at the old Timeout location. In conclusion although I can certainly go on. Todos Santos is an all around great park. Everything you would want close by is here. I love the fact that it is safe and that there is plenty of available parking nearby. We use to go to the ice cream counter at Rexall Drugs, I saw Alice in Wonderland at the movie theater before it changed into the Pussycat theater. They've done a lot to update this area over the years and I think it keeps getting better and better. I've seen fairs, farmers markets, and people taking their prom pictures here. It really is that beautiful of a park. They updated the playground, but from the days when I was a kid, it used to be totally different and a lot more fun (but then again, everything is always more fun when you're a kid). You get a whole range of different stores and this place really is for everyone. You've got italian restauarants, a brew houses, a hot dog place, an ice cream joint, a half-priced bookstore for all your eclectic needs book, record and computer games, you've got your indian food, your starbucks and your peets, and your clothing boutiques. All in one plaza and the best part, this is a thriving plaza! Most plazas now a day look like they're deserted but not here. It's thriving with energy love and people. I used to come here alot during my High school days, hang out a little coffee shop with friends, gossip and plan about where we going to party that weekend...ohhh such fond memories. No its not union square, or anything fancy, but for me it's cozy, small and comfortable which is nice. The park is cute; they have a lot of little concerts going on throughout the week. I'm a big fan of Todos Santos Plaza. As far as parks go, it's small, but the nearby restaurants more than make up for its size. Go to E.J. Phair for a pint of local brew and slooooow service, Baskin Robbins sells single scoops of ice cream for $1.50, Happy Roll has arguably the best rolls around, Peet's Coffee has fantastic beans and great coffee (plus free WiFi with a purchase), Starbucks has free WiFi, Toscana has decent Italian grub and a really personable barkeep, and there's always Brenden Theater one block to the west if you feel like catching a flick. On Tuesdays and Thursdays in the summertime, the park hosts a farmer's market, but the one to go to is on Thursday evenings, when the City of Concord hosts a free concert. Meyer's BBQ is hands down the best vendor present at the market, and they serve large, no-B.S. portions of your choice of grub. I suggest the teriyaki chicken. As has been said before, parking is kind of a b*tch, but there are two parking garages nearby, one near the northeast corner of the park, and another on the northwest corner of the park. Also, you can park at the Bank of America garage on the southwest corner of the park during the evening events. Wells Fargo is directly south of the park, and I usually brave it and park there after bank hours. Now, go forth, fellow Yelpers, and enjoy a great summer day in this fun little location. read more
