We live in San Jose, but our townhome is in South Lake Tahoe and is used as a vacation rental. With Christmas and New Year's coming up, we had guests booked for nearly three weeks straight. On Tuesday, December 16th, our property management company, Vacasa, called to let us know our gas fireplace was no longer safe to operate. With guests arriving that Friday, December 19th, we were suddenly in a bind. Megan at Vacasa immediately jumped in and connected us with Jessica at Fireplace Service and Repair. From there, everything moved fast. Jessica walked us through our options, and almost immediately found the perfect replacement fireplace for our home. Thanks to Jessica and Dan, installation was scheduled for December 19th and completed quickly and efficiently -- with plenty of time before our guests arrived. Considering we don't live in South Lake Tahoe and had never worked with them before, we were incredibly impressed with how smooth the entire process was. They were professional, responsive, and made us feel completely comfortable every step of the way. We highly recommend Fireplace Service and Repair -- absolutely 5 stars.

    This is an update to my previous nasty review…read more Scheduled a rewire on my house, and the addition of a couple of new outlets. I was told I needed to vacate my house for 10 days. The Happy Outlet scheduled a Pod to be delivered to my home to put all my stuff in. They also made a hotel reservation for 10 days. These were both included in my quote. They scheduled the job for 5/18 to 5/27. The week included the Memorial Day holiday. And I was not informed that would be no work on Thursday of that week. I went home to water my plants on Friday, and saw not a lot of work had been done. I live in a 76 year old house, I knew there would be issues but I was told it could be done in 10 days. There was a lot of phone calls, texts and unhappy emails. The job was completed on Thursday 5/28. I moved back in my house on 5/27. After a very rocky start to the job and misinformation I am extremely happy with the work they have done. The guys worked very hard to get it done. My house is now up to code. The only reason for the 4 star review is for the miscommunication in the beginning. It was very stressful my cat and myself. Would I hire them again? Yes I would, in fact I need another outlet. Jesse, Kaitlyn, Carmelo, Eric and Alex all worked hard to finish the job to my satisfaction. I'm am happy.

However, for something outside of my scope, I have to rely on the responsiveness of vendors. Often, this is a frustrating experience since sometime vendors just cont answer calls or texts or won't reply at all. Battleborn Vents exceeded my expectations! Of the 3 dryer vent cleaning companies I called, not only did BBV *answer*, then call me back asap, but even was able to squeeze in a service in between calls! Imagine a new rental with so much hair in the vents it was very nearly a fire hazard, and 1 company didn't respond/answer at all and another was over 2 weeks out - ma'am, the place would be ashes by then! If you need vents wept clean don't want to get blown off, call Battleborn Vents! Professional, prompt and at a very reasonable rate for an urgent service call they went out of their way to accommodate - that's service worth a shout out! Look at my photos! Results are clear and so is the dryer vent!!

He actively communicated with me via text, trying to fit me into the schedule--multiple times. Was really going out of his way. Just fantastic follow-up and follow-through. Jorge's level of service--EXCEPTIONAL. Kind and considerate, and went the extra mile multiple times. We were having an issue with our dryer telling us our vent was blocked. Jorge checked the vent from outside the house, explaining what he was seeing as he cleared out whatever he could find. Since that didn't fix the dryer issue, the dryer company sent out a (pretty lazy) service person, who took a brief look and said it was still the vent. Jorge offered to come back and take another look, even going down in the crawl space to disassemble and reassemble the dryer vent to see what else he could find. Nothing. It's actually the dryer that has a wonky sensor--thanks to Jorge's genial hard work, we now know this definitively. Thanks guys. Highly recommend this pleasant and professional service team, and will work with them again.

    We have been a client of Nevada Heating and cooling for many years. They have never disappointed…read morewith their excellent customer service and prompt response. This was a different situation for selling a home and we had a situation with the appraiser of the home we were selling that went MIA and that report gone with them. In that timeframe, we had three items that need to be repaired to get the new appraisal done within three days for the buyers lender and agent. it was absolute chaos for all of us inclined as everything was hinging on this inspection. I spoke with Megan at Nevada Heating and cooling immediately the next morning who was understanding of our situation but said a lot of the techs were busy but to give her a few minutes and see what she could do for me. Within 30 minutes she called called back and we were on the schedule for the next morning to get this process going and assess the repairs requested which they did and we knew exactly what it would cost and how long to repair. With in 48 hours all repairs were done with three different technicians Alan, Rob, and Zach. All of them were on time, respectful, courteous, and there were no surprises with the repairs what was quoted is what was done. They made sure the repairs were done correctly. And I also had a check-in from Megan to make sure everything was good. I do understand that sometimes businesses get negative reviews, but I will tell you that for the past seven years I have never had any negative experiences with Nevada Heating and Cooling. They went above and beyond to help us out in a really difficult situation and we will continue with Nevada Heating and Cooling at our new home! Thanks again to the team for taking care of us without your quick response and support we would have been waiting longer for the inspection of the home we we're selling and could have caused major issues for the buyers lender.     Missed a call from Nevada Heating to schedule my air-conditioning service. Call them back and…read more apparently, they are using an AI Assistant and a usual 5 minute appointment call has already taken 8 minutes. AI assistant asked numerous unnecessary questions from my name, address, phone, age of unit, service or repair, etc. I finally asked to speak to a live person and when I did, I answered more questions about our account and was told they didn't have any appointments available and it would be refered to dispatch, but someone should call me back within 24 hours. In addition to that, their AI assistant and person who answered the phone, couldn't pronounce the name of their business properly as in Nevada not in Na-vah-dah. This is what Customer Service has moved to apparently and it's unsatisfactory, not user-friendly, and not even close to anything that could be labeled acceptable customer service.
