This review is long overdue. My husband and I contacted Jared in 2015 when we had to move out of our rental. Jared returned my phone call while he was on vacation. Upon his return, he provided an estimate and within a few days he made magic happen. My landlord wanted me to pay for the replacement of carpet. The estimate of the carpet replacement was about the cost of two months salary (ridiculous). I called Jared to the rescue and the landlord was amazed at the results as she was initially adamant about replacing the carpet. Jared was extremely professional and had a nice sense of humor. This company and its employees went above and beyond in a difficult situation. We needed a very large house on our property cleaned. The house had not been cleaned in probably a decade and it was a horror show. If that wasn't bad enough, we discovered that morning that the water was not working. We had a very short time frame and the place needed to be cleaned. The Clean As Snow staff actually cleaned the house and its numerous bathrooms/kitchens with water that we brought in. The situation was as ridiculous as it sounds and Jared and the staff were unbelievably flexible, professional and gracious. Very rarely do you come across a company that operates with honesty, integrity and pride in their work. Clean As Snow and Jared, the owner, are a testament to what every business should aspire to become! Today, we had scheduled an appointment to have our carpets cleaned in a two-year-old home that we just purchased. The previous owners had a dog and two kids, so the carpets were in need of some TLC - and, I'm also a bit OCD, so everything has to be clean and perfect for me. We had been turned onto Clean As Snow through repeated word-of-mouth recommendations from our neighbors and our prior landlord - all of them swore he was the carpet whisperer, so I had high expectations! During our initial consultation, Jared gave us a very honest assessment of the work that needed to be performed and he quoted a very fair price; we agreed to a cleaning session for today, between 3 and 4pm. At around 2pm we received a call from his office that the team assigned to clean our carpets were stuck at the current job site; the scope of work was greater than anticipated - they would now be arriving at our home closer to 5pm. As someone who has played the "waiting game" with the cable company many times, I appreciated his honesty and the proactive communication. Well...it gets better! Approximately 30 minutes later, we get another call from Jared to inform us that he and his wife would be coming over to clean our carpets personally, as they did not want to have us waiting beyond what was agreed to; they dropped everything and showed up within 20 minutes. When they arrived, they took their time to protect the walls in our home and to carefully go over the scope of work, one more time. During the cleaning process, Jared called me over to show me a hidden urine stain he found in our basement (the dog, I hope?) and the additional steps he was taking to flush out everything from our carpets. This man and his lovely wife take incredible pride in their work - it's reflected in the product and in their interactions with you. Whoever chooses to use another carpet cleaning company, is making a huge mistake! As long as I'm a resident of Northern Virginia, I'll be relying on Clean As Snow for all my carpet care needs. This company was a delight to work with. I used them to do a deep clean of my house before it went on the market. Everything was sparkling. From counter tops to fan blades. The ladies took apart my fridge shelves and washed every one. Fridge is cleaner now than when I bought it. Very happy with the cleaning. Next, I had the carpets cleaned. They were very honest about a 2 year old coffee stain and the ability to get it out. Carpets looked great and dried quickly. I was told multiple times if I wasn't happy with the carpet, to contact them to come out for a touch up. Then I had my wooden floors cleaned and polished. They look brand new. Pet food stains gone! My 4 and 2 year old boys decided it would be a lot of fun to pour red nail polish and makeup all over grandma's light cream colored carpet. Needless to say, we were less than pleased. After calling a few places that either said it needed to be removed immediately or it's impossible, we sat in despair for a week. Finally we called Jared, who insisted he could get it out so we took a chance. Guess what? He and his crew removed the numerous stains almost completely. You can barely see any stains, unless you were looking for them. They did a fantastic job. My only negative comment is that he refused to take 15% off for mentioning Yelp, as advertised, despite mentioning it to him more than once. I believe he should honor the coupon as advertised. From booking the appointment, to explaining the process, to estimating, and finally to carrying out the job. Jarod and Nardi were thorough, professional and courteous. It takes a lot to let someone into our home but from the very beginning Jarod made us feel comfortable with his knowledge and experience regarding the carpet cleaning process. The before and after comparison of our family room is just amazing. We couldn't stand it before and even contemplated replacing our beautiful berber carpet. I am so glad we didn't and elected to clean it instead. Jarod knew exactly what the issue was and used his advanced tools to get every stain out. We used this company for two years and one day they called and told me that they were not making enough money from customers and wanted to raise my fee 40%. There was absolutely no warning. Who increases cleaning fees that much for every visit (twice a month). We were tipping the ladies every visit because they were so good and kind and I do not think that the owners liked that very much and would prefer that the money went into their own pockets. In addition, we used Jared's company for move out service as well as carpet cleaning. We were given a quote from them by one of their associates because he and his wife were on vacation. At the end of the cleaning, I was told that the estimate was way too low and they wanted to almost double the fee. They said that the associate was new and made a mistake. They wanted to add $500.00 onto the cleaning at the end as I was paying for the cleaning. I split the difference with them. Again, poor business. read more

I used Clean As Snow for carpet cleaning AND move out cleaning services. I have to make sure the apartment is in topnotch condition for me to get most, if not all, of my deposit back. My timeline is very tight and Jared worked with me to get it done. After they were done with the apartment cleaning AND the carpet cleaning, the place looks way much better than when I moved in. I have 2 dogs and you will never know there were dogs in the house (they are potty trained but there were the occassional accidents when they're sick). Jared seems to be quite knowledgeable about how to best attack the cleaning challenges, and he mentioned that he regularly attends technical seminars to hone his skills. True, his methods worked very well in our home and he explained why his competitors performance does not live up to the hype. We gave the work to a well known firm out of Ashburn, VA last year, but the carpets returned to same old dirty look only after 3-4 days. He did about 10 more things than the other guy, for about the same price. He is the nicest man and everything a good business/service should be. Their deep clean house cleaning service hit all of the base boards, fans, vents, and difficult to reach spots my cleaners were missing. They even vacuumed the cat tree! My house was sparkly clean, then the carpet guys came in and got up every spot. They took care of the area rugs and gave me some advice on a new Persian Rug so I could care for it properly.
