I'm not going to pay someone $65 per hour to purge my closet and organize my 250 sq. studio. I found SOS on Yelp. The 5-star reviews seemed questionable but after my experience, they deserve them! I started with a 3-hour appointment with Callie. She's an absolute doll. I am amazed by her creative organizing solutions! We went through my walk-in closet and kitchen. It helps to help. I couldn't just sit back and watch her organize my belongings. It can be tedious, but it's worth it! We accomplished A LOT. I couldn't have done it without her. I just don't have the motivation or drive. I can see my floor again! I found my favorite sweater! Everything makes sense now! I love, love, LOVE how organized my apartment is. I have a little IGTV show, and she was cool with being a part of it. We cleaned one side of my SUPER cluttered closet. And she gave me homework to work on the other sides. She would hand me boxes, I'd go through them and separate into shred, donate, garbage, recycle, or keep, and hand them back and we worked like that for the entire 3 hours. It's been maybe a month since she came and that side of my closet still looks like the day she left. It's kinda weird to have a stranger come into your house and help you go through your clutter, but just remember, they are there to help, not to judge. I'm only giving 4 stars because I sent a message saying I wanted her to come back and I just never heard back from them anymore. I'm thinking my place was probably tooooooo much of a cluster for her. They did a wonderful job of going through things, putting things in places and offering suggestions on different ways to store things. I am a teacher with many materials to go through, by the end of the second day the frustration and annoyance from whole team was very evident. What started as an organized book by category sorting ended with a general box of books thrown together in to non-specific categories. However, after they left when I continued the process myself using areas they had organized I was shocked to discover that they had not wiped off or cleaned the shelves or containers before putting organized materials back on shelves (garage 5 plus years of dirt/grim). They did a wonderful job of organizing but I am continued to be reminded every time I go to find something how absolutely filthy everything was after they left last summer. Knowing that I have to go back to remove and than redo all the work I had already paid for. This has made enjoying the organized space that was left filthy makes the end result much harder to enjoy, I have not yet had the time or energy to remove everything again and clean. When and if I do I will again be reminded of the disappointment felt, the money and time I spent to use their services.

Brooke Milton came over for a consultation back in December and we made a plan to get my house in order for 2023. Thanks to Brooke this is one New Years resolution I may actually stick to! Since then Lily, who works with Brooke, has been coming over weekly and has made a ton of progress on my house. She spent the first month in my mess of a basement and I think got rid of half the basement. I think that's what makes Brooke and Lily so good at their jobs. Past organizers organized what I have, but they focus on the decluttering...and then organizing what you need to keep. And let's face it...the lack of organization comes from having too much stuff! Today she moved upstairs to get working on organizing our first floor. My 7 year old came home from school and opened up a drawer, which is usually full of crap (I mean toys). He yelled "what the heck? We've been robbed!" But even my 7 year would appreciated that he can now find what he wants thanks to the systems Brooke & Lily have put in place. And the rest has been thrown out or donated...and my kids have yet to miss anything that has disappared from the basement.
