I would also like to add that it was A very hot day yet, they took their time and did not try to rush or take any short cuts. They sealed off everything in the work area and did a very thorough clean up after the work was done. The one key issue for me was the R-rating and since R-value is a major factor in comparing insulation options, I wanted to understand exactly what was being installed. I tried to follow up with the estimator to get clarification and asked for a call back. While multiple emails were exchanged from what seemed to be the corporate end, there was no actual human interaction, and my request for the estimator to call back failed. Because of that lack of follow-through, I ultimately decided to go with another vendor who was more responsive. AttiCare made a good first impression, but communication after the initial visit failed. I wouldn't proceed without speaking to the estimator. They lost a job due to that.

From the very start of my engagement with Attic Bros it has been fantastic! I found them in a…read moresearch on Yelp and no joke, my 8 year old calls me Bro, so figured I would fit right in with the Attic Bros! I think within maybe 20 minutes of submitting my Yelp quote I had a call back and an appointment. Michael came out and did a THOROUGH inspection of the attic took a ton of before pics. But not only that he then sat down with me and went through the entire process, which is quite frankly, amazing. He also answered all of my questions and offered some input on my ducts. He made himself available for any other questions too, which was so nice since my husband wasn't around - there's always another question. With this process, not only do you get your old attic crud sucked out, they look for and seal any entry point for critters. They add mesh from the inside plus they go around the whole perimeter from the outside of the house too just to make sure they caught all entry points. They seal all air gaps from things like recessed lights and fans. And then they sanitize. Something about knowing my 70 year old house got a deep clean is VERY satisfying for my OCD cleaning tendencies. The insulation went in - they use a batting that is 12" thick, my attic before probably had an inch, maybe 2 in spots of the old blow-in stuff which was just dust and dirt and disgusting. This batting is eco-friendly - no pink artificial coloring, just the insulation which also is no longer harmful. Night one and I already saw a difference. Usually when it gets cold at night by 2:00 am our home temp inside drops, we stayed a steady temperature throughout the night, I might be a bit crazy, but it feels like there's a sound dampening effect too - I don't have to have the TV on as high of a volume. Follow-up, they add traps and will come back to monitor in a couple weeks to make sure there is no activity. Another over the top customer service layer - we had Jordan as our project/site manager for the day - I was texted by the system with his picture, LOVE this feature, its really helpful. And he called when he was closer. He kept me updated throughout the day and was just really kind, very professional and the crew he brought, Jesse and I did not catch the other gentleman's name - they worked so incredibly hard, and efficiently. We really appreciated this crew, they were amazing. If you are hesitating for any reason to get your insulation in your attic done - DON'T - it is 100000000% worth every dollar, which by the way is an incredible value when you really think about what it does for your home. This project was unusually complex and took nearly four months to complete. The process involved rodent exclusion, removal of decades of accumulated insulation, asbestos abatement, attic sanitization, installation of new ductwork, and finally new insulation. Throughout every stage, Ahmad remained involved, checking in regularly and making sure everything was progressing. A special thank you to Dave and Eddie, who removed the old insulation and installed the new material. What appeared to be a straightforward job of insulation removal, turned out to involve three layers of different insulation materials dating back to the 1950s. Despite the unexpected workload and physical demands, they never complained. They remained cheerful, professional, respectful, and hardworking throughout the entire process. As a senior citizen who carefully researches major home repairs, I greatly appreciated Ahmad's patience in answering my many questions. If you're seriously considering Attic Masters, make sure that at the very least you get a second…read moreopinion, because here was my experience: Their technician, Sebastian, came out and did an inspection that, for reasons beyond my understanding, didn't include actually looking at our second attic space. Yet, he still included it in the estimate and priced it as a 1k sq ft job and called for removal and replacement of all the insulation. He recommended replacing all the ducting as well. The problem? Each of the four subsequent inspections I received noted that the space was small (less than a couple hundred sq ft) and clean with no issues. While he did inspect our primary attic space, he claimed that rats had gotten into the ducting and recommended that it all be replaced. Guess what? Each of the subsequent inspections noted that the ducting was in great shape, but just needed some outer insulation repair. Before I brought these issues to Attic Masters, I had a conversation with the Adam mentioned in other reviews and had the same experience those reviewers did where he was defensive and made it very difficult for me to get a word in. And, I emphasize - this was before I even brought up any issues! After I brought the above mentioned issues to their attention in a subsequent email? No apologies or acknowledgement of the obvious problems. They just tried to brush it all aside. I'm sure they have their reasons, explanations, and justification, but it sure seems like they were being dishonest with me. You have a lot of options when it comes to this work. Proceed at your own risk.
