There were two young gentlemen that looked miserable. They never EVER smiled or was welcoming. The younger one looked miserable. Enough that I almost left as he made me uncomfortable. First time but not last! Two of the nicest staff took the time to explain our Açaí bowl options - health benefits and had samples to boot! I have nut allergies so they accommodated my need to swap out almond milk for coconut water! We were ordering for friends so had both the berry bowl and nutty bowl - everyone seemed to like them! My only quip it's pricey but they allowed us to split a bowl into minis which was a perfect portion! They also have salads; toasts n protein bowls! I was a huge fan of the Birkdale location when it was located across the street. But then one day I went there to pick up my mobile order and realized that they had moved. I didn't have the greatest experience at the new location, because there was a bit of a delay between my scheduled pick up time and my arrival, and when I walked inside to grab my order my smoothie bowl was liquid. I didn't really realize it until I was in the car and trying to eat it, it was extremely messy. I contacted the location to explain how unhappy I was and they offered a full refund. The issue is that I had to call three additional times because the refund didn't show up; it seems that the manager of the store was out of town, which contributed to the delay. I decided to give this location another try, because I was in the mood for a smoothie bowl. What I don't like is that when they prepare your order, they put it in a refrigerator to keep it chilled until you arrived. The problem with that is that a frozen bowl is going to continue to melt in the refrigerator because the temperature is not high enough. It would seem logical to put it in a freezer to make sure it doesn't melt. I tried to arrive in time to prevent picking up a liquid smoothie bowl, and this time it wasn't bad. I am a big fan of the organic, nutrient dense, delicious smoothies! It just took 30 min from when I ordered to get my smoothie, and the customer service was poor; that's why the 3.5 stars. I came here post workout with my little one and waited 5 min for someone to come over to take my order, not a big deal, but then after I gave the guy 10$ cash, he went to the back for 7 minutes without telling me why, then he brought back my change. My little one and I waited like I said 30 min for one smoothie- the team of 3 working on food prep were in no rush and that's fine- but I sure think in store orders should be prioritized over app orders and a single smoothie shouldn't take thaaaaat long. I've been to 3 locations of Clean Juice and the Birkdale location is my favorite. The staff here is awesome and the smoothies, well they're the same as at the other location which is a great thing. Consistence is super important especially when your on the go and I can't make it to Birkdale. Either way the so basic is one of my foots and if you're looking for a meal replacement then the white is literally like drinking dessert but healthier. Finally a juice shop in Lake Norman! I tried my first one day juice cleanse & the juices were all very good and fresh. I hear the acai bowls are a huge favorite among customers, however, I always seem to get distracted by the newest juice or smoothie options. When it warms up a bit, I'll take the plunge and review the bowls. Every juice or smoothie I've ever had, has been freshly made and is always fantastic. The variety here provides options for everyone. Price is a bit high, but when you consider cost of the fruits and veggies and the blender :)...I'd rather pay them for my juice than to do it myself. I just drove across town to get a smoothie bowl and when I got home and removed the lid I noticed the sliced "fresh" bananas on top had an odd color. I LOVED how they were giving away $10 to download their mobile app. What a great incentive to drive traffic to the application as well as into the Clean Juice locations. Well 2 months later, and the $10 has now disappeared from our apps. When I reached out to CleanJuice on why, they said "they decided to cap it at a 30 day window". What!?!? There was NO disclaimer, or any info about a time period or expiration. That was a complete SCAM to just get people to download their app. I'm sorry, but CleanJuice has unfortunately lost a family of customers. Every time I go to pick up my order, my juices are expired, expiring the day of pick up or the next day. I have never got a juice freshly made on the day of the pick up. When I bring the matter to the server, I get the annoyed answer that they won't make juices until the next day or following 2 days. I'm not asking much, just to have fresh juice provided. I ordered ahead of time, just liked asked, and paid ahead of time, just like asked, then provide the fresh juice, just like advertised!!! I will be looking on how to cancel my subscription, because I feel like this should not be the way a food should be served. I ordered a açaí bowl and a toast with almond butter, banana and honey. My order was about $21 dollars. And this has happened to me 3 times now where the fruit for example the banana is completely green and taste awful or the fruit on top just does not taste well. I rather some one tell me you are out of something and keep the integrity of the quality of the dish. I won't be coming here or ordering from here again I will say I ordered this through door dash about an hour before they closed which is why I did not bring this to there attention. read more

Waited 20 MINUTES - yes 20 MINUTES for two drinks. SOOO many people came in and were crammed in the one corner they have available to wait. No one was wearing masks. I get the drink and there are literal chunks of celery, cucumber and other various pieces of fruit (not from my drink) in my $14 DRINK! SO GROSS! I let the person know and showed them how nasty it looked (and obviously tasted). She shrugged her shoulders and said "oh the strainer is in the back". So they didn't make my drink correctly and thought I would think it was fine and walk out? How about make it right the first time!? Especially after we had waited patiently for 15 minutes for them to make it wrong - we had to wait another 5-10 minutes for them to remake it. I do not recommend. Delicious açaí bowls! I've moved from the west coast where açaí bowls are standard and are made correctly. This is the first place I have found that makes the açaí bowls well. It was filled up with more Pitaya filling then toppings, which seemed to be running over. The Pitaya Bowl had the following ingredients: Pitaya blended with Banana, Mango, and Almond Milk | Topped with Granola, Coconut Chips, and Chia Seeds & Goji Berries My boyfriend settled for the Berry Bowl. It was filled the same as my bowl more filling then toppings made with the following ingredients: Açaí blended with Banana, Berries, Honey, and Almond Milk | Topped with Granola, Banana, Goji Berries, & Strawberries (seasonally). Poor customer service. The employees don't look up when you walk in. There is no greeting, no welcome, no smiling (yes you can tell if someone is smiling with a mask on). I order everything on the app. Today I went in and there were 5 cups sitting on the side. A lot of customers were waiting and the 2 ladies moved as if they had all the time in the world. A $10 drink. I had to leave to go to work and felt with only 2 ladies behind the counter this was going to be over a 15 minute wait the way they were moving. All the employees are very friendly they speak to you as soon as you walk into the store and I really appreciate that. When you walk in, you can immediately smell the fruit and fresh and ingredients. It's quite refreshing. I ordered the Slushie Smoothie, and it was sooooo good. The ingredients in this one are strawberries, oranges, honey, and coconut water. It was cool and delicious. I was surprised by how creamy the texture was. I didn't wait long at all to order, and I waited just a few minutes for my smoothie to be ready. This place has great parking, outdoor seating, and clean inside, and friendly staff. The only reason I rate this 4 Stars is the price... it's pretty expensive. I guess you are paying for really fresh, organic ingredients; I would expect that to be pricier. No one appeared to be in charge and the owners no where to be found-- which is pretty odd for the 2nd weekend open, right? Personally, the prices are a little high (about $7 for a 16oz smoothie depending on the type), but I accept that with good ingredients comes higher prices. There was a pretty small line, but we did wait 15 minutes for our drink. I ordered "The Pumpkin One" 16oz smoothie ($7.25) and it was delicious. I really appreciate EVERYTHING being USDA Organic which is the best of the best organic that you can get. So the high prices make sense for everything being organic, but it's a nice treat to have every once in a while, not every day due to cost. The bathroom was clean and the tables were clean.
