**1 star** if I could it would be ** 0 stars** I truly hate leaving bad reviews, especially for small businesses--but I feel obligated to share my experience with this carpet cleaning company. I had an appointment scheduled for 12:30 PM. The owner called to say he'd be late--first 30 minutes, then maybe an hour. I had to be at work by 2 PM, and my husband and I waited as long as we could before we had to leave. The owner later said he'd arrive around 1:45 PM after stopping to eat. I had no issue with that and even told him 2 PM was fine. When he showed up, my husband had just returned from the storage unit and opened the garage so they could start setting up. The owner tried calling me a few times, but I was unavailable due to work. By the time I returned home, it was dark, and with a sleeping baby in the car, I didn't go upstairs to inspect. The next day--after I had already turned in my keys--I walked through and immediately noticed visible pet stains still on the carpet, especially on the landing area of the second set of stairs. I know these stains well--they were there before and clearly hadn't been touched. I reached out via message and was met with a phone call I couldn't answer (I was with my realtor). My husband followed up, explained where the stain was, and instead of listening, the owner got defensive. First, he claimed there was a fridge in that area (there wasn't), then proceeded to blame the cleaning crew. Here's the thing: the cleaning crew was *my* mother-in-law. Blaming others for what was clearly an incomplete job says everything about the way this business is run. I sent additional photos, but the owner refused to re-clean the area and eventually stopped responding altogether. No apology, no accountability. Ghosted. When I returned again and tried cleaning the area myself--surprise--the stain came out, meaning it *definitely* hadn't been properly cleaned in the first place. Also worth noting: the owner encouraged me to pay in cash, promising a better "deal" and free add-ons like disinfectant. I went along with it. But after the lack of service, no follow-up, and no professionalism, it feels like I got scammed. This whole experience left me frustrated and disappointed. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt at every step, but the end result was rushed, careless work and a refusal to take responsibility. Jerry is professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. He arrived promptly at our scheduled time, gave me a fair quote on the work, and even cracked a few jokes along the way. I found Clean Rite via good old Yelp, and he was one of the businesses I contacted for a quote. Out of the handful I spoke with, I felt Clean Rite was the right choice. I wanted someone with their own company, not a maid-for-hire kind of agency. I'd used those in the past, and I really just didn't feel light housekeeping by a team of three was what my little home needed. Jerry offers carpet cleaning, upholstery, furniture cleaning, full kitchen and bathroom work, etc. The team cleaned my home in four hours, their minimum, and got a lot of work done. I had just returned from traveling and my place needed a good once-over. All in all, I liked the quality of work. He finished the carpet in the entryway on his way out, though, and the carpet didn't properly dry until I snagged some baking powder and cleaned it up on my own. Otherwise, all good! Jerry told me that he doesn't do weekly services, but his specialty is deep cleaning so I'd say you're better off using his services on a monthly or quarterly basis - that's the frequency I'd need, anyway, since I do a fair amount of cleaning on a daily basis. You'll need to schedule specific days in advance, given he told me that his schedule changes weekly per client needs. I paid with an app, but you can also do cash. I am blanking on if he accepts card, so I would double-check. I would definitely call up Jerry again, quite satisfied. read more

I reached out Feb of 2022 to Jerry and his team for a quote. I paid the deposit of $100 and scheduled for April. I had a family member pass in March so we rescheduled for June. Then my husband and I got Covid so I had to reschedule for July just to make sure we were over it. Then Jerry got sick, and I couldn't schedule for September cause I was going to be away on the east coast for a week. So, we scheduled out until 1/20/23 and he said 1/20 worked. He then texted me, asking me on the morning of 1/4 if either 1/6 or 1/20 would work, so I said yes 1/6 could work. Then on the morning of 1/6 he texted me that he never set the date, so I just asked for a reimbursement altogether at that point. I made adjustments to my schedule to accommodate the 1/6 date he changed it to from 1/20. He asked if he could pay me back through Zelle. I sent a request for reimbursement same-day to him through Zelle to make it easy. He then kept asking which number to send it to when I asked for status of payment. I then gave him my cell (the number he was texting) and I texted him twice in Feb about the reimbursement - no response. I think there were very unfortunate series of events that happened last year on both ends but to have no reasoning for his lack of calendaring, reimbursing when he said he would, etc. is inexcusable. I'm owed $100 still to this day (3/12/23). read more

Jerry was really nice and really easy to talk to! I hired him to clean one VERYYYYY dirty bathroom. I really appreciate how accommodating he was because he I live in a townhouse and the walk from the car to my house is pretty long and he wasn't afraid to walk back and forth multiple times and even drive to lose to pick up more materials!! The only thing I would say is that it was more pricey than I thought. I paid $400 for 3 hours so do with that information what you will. But I'm happy with the result. Thank you again! read more

I've slowly been getting life back on track as the pandemic continues interrupting my groove. However, staring at the same walls for the last 16 months blinded me as to how dusty my place was and the mantra, "I will clean it tomorrow," etched itself into law. Recently walked into the hallway bathroom my guys use and gagged at it's sad state! It was then the realization hit that my home was filthy, cleaning up was overwhelming, and did I really want to tackle another project while catching up on other equally important things? NO! I did what any other busy person does and hit the Yelp app to search for an entity to do it for me. Contacted several local people/companies and not a single reply to my inquiries on cost, availability, or commitment to what they would/would not do. I tried not to take that personally and wondered if they already knew the mess they were being asked to tackle for me... Expanded my search parameters, contacted Clean Rite, and within an hour has a conversation going with Jerry. He was clear with rates, did even more than I'd considered, and was available Thursday if I wanted to hire him. I put aside the shame of having let my abode go to crap and agreed. Thursday arrives and already he was contacting me with a courtesy call that he was running 15 minutes late but on his way. I liked that! My time is important and my day job is always tricky so I appreciated the extra time to get said job whipped into shape ( I don't actually whip him as that would be wrong) but he does need time to adjust to differences. Fast forwarding to six hours later and my place was spotless! He and his crew were efficient, conscientious, and friendly and I've put myself on their schedule for services once a month! Let's review shall we? They cleaned EVERYTHING! Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and living areas were scrubbed, baseboards done, ceiling fan is dust free, carpets vacuumed, wood steam cleaned, windows washed inside and out. Stainless steel polished. Dishes done. Offers to clean the oven and inside the refrigerator (maybe next month), cobwebs cleaned, and perhaps the best part? They MOVED the furniture and got a bag full of hair balls out from under everything. Jerry also pointed out I need a new filter in the heating duct and cleaned the tract of the sliders so they work as advertised! You want a company that obsessively cleans while you get your life back on track? Contact Jerry! You won't be disappointed. Total cost? $810! You may think that is high but I consider it money well spent. You would too if your living space is making you gag! Thanks again! read more

Beyond happy with my decision to hire this company. I was overwhelmed with dread when I realized the recent moisture was causing mildew to accumulate on our windows, so I searched for answers online. I decided I'd rather it be done professionally but I struggled to find the right service. I kept coming across "maid" services, mold remediation services, or outdoor window cleaners. Nothing seemed like quite the right fit. The one mold place I called said I'd have to call an inspector and then they'd charge at least $1000 to clean it. The inspector they suggested quoted $550 just for the inspection! Then they said they'd have to take a bunch of samples for $75 each and were deliberately vague about how many samples they'd need to take. I asked over and over and they would not give any clear answers of the actual minimum cost. It just didn't feel right for some basic maintenance, but I also didn't feel right hiring a couple of "maids" to spray it with windex and wipe it. I actually messaged a different company on Yelp asking for a quote and Yelp offered me the function of blasting out the message to other similar businesses. I'm really glad they did because I wouldn't've found Jerry otherwise. He was the only person to message back that asked for pictures and actually asked what I wanted cleaned and why. I got a few other messages back but they were either automated and basic hourly rates, or very minimal effort and I didn't feel that they clearly understood what I was asking for. When he got here I mentioned that I was still a little nervous about the expense so I'd really appreciate him showing me 1 window first at a set rate, and then we could finish the rest if I liked it. He had no trouble, updated the contract in a jiff, and got to work. There was no doubt in my mind after about a minute that I got the right guy for the job. Jerry not only had the right equipment and expertise for the job, he was also willing to offer tips on how to keep the windows clean and prevent problems in the future. I've done a little more reading online about the subject and everything Jerry told me checks out with the experts in addressing moisture, mildew, and mold. So please do yourself a favor, check areas of your house that might be moist from this very rainy winter and if you see something gross call someone who can clean it before it gets worse. It might not be free, but I'm pretty sure you'll be happy looking back if you avoided having to remodel the entire house because mold went unaddressed. It can be really bad! read more

Very strange experience. They were extremely rude to my property manager over the phone, they wanted $1,000 upfront. They said they didn't do house cleaning at all, except for deep cleaning move in/out jobs. I've worked with lots of different cleaning services, in lots of different locations, and this was a unique experience. They basically said it was their way or the highway, didn't care at all about the customer wanted. They didn't want me skipping a room because they might get a bad review. They may be good if you have some sort of hoarder "clean up" need, I guess, as it seemed oriented around that. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. We needed someone to deep clean our newly renovated home in Encino, post construction, before moving in. We especially needed the brand new hardwood floors cleaned after the painters left residue on the floors. Our housekeeper had already cleaned the house about 3 times so we really didn't need a general cleaning. But the floors stilled looked dirty from the paint residue. This was our main concern and was discussed ad nauseam with Jerry on the phone. He assured me that it was no problem and they would use the right products to do the job. Trust me, he said. Should have known then. He wanted $960 up front for an 8 hour day. He showed up to do the job with his assistant, his daugter, and no one else. First he said to do the house right he would need 3 days at $960 a day. This was a 3 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms. I said no. Just 1 day should be enough. 3 hours into the job he approached me and said we are not doing the floors, just general cleaning. When I reminded him that the floors were our main concern and the reason we hired him in the first place, he got angry called me an asshole and accused me of wanting things for nothing. I told him I was paying him almost a thousand dollars for the day. After yelling at me again in front of my 7 year old daughter I said let's just call it a day and that I would pay him for his time thus far and to please leave. He didn't like this and yelled again that he wasn't going anywhere. That that wasn't the agreement and he was going to finish the job. I didn't want to get into an argument with him with my daughter present so I left with her. When we got back he said he was finished with the job. I said great we are all set since my husband paid him in the morning. At that point I just wanted him gone. Then he came over with a document and said I just need you to sign this before I leave. He handed me a piece of paper with his handwritten statements all over it and said I needed to sign it. When I refused, he got angry again. I believe he has bi-polar disorder. He called me an asshole again and a douche bag, then left. And to top it off, he did a lousy job even with the general cleaning. My housekeeper had to come back and clean again. Avoid this man at all costs. After we moved in, I called another company to clean our old house. They were amazing. Rachel with NRG Maids.
