Rayne told me it's up to their standard and the work is good. No plumbing issues. Photos don't lie. You be the judge. Get your own plumber to make sure Rayne installed your plumbing correctly and within standard. You been warned. Story: Installed Rayne about 1.5 years ago where they went underneath the crawl space to rearrange my pipes for soft water. The plumbing work was done by Jose. I was reassured these plumbers are the best in town and super experienced. I just find out a few days ago accidentally from an independent plumber that the soft water plumbing is sloppy. The work was done in a rush. The pipes they cut have not been supported and are sitting on another pipe which will cause an issue in the long run. He was able to point out the soft water was not feeding into another bathroom (a rarely used bathroom so I never noticed). The plumbing work was amateur at best. I filed a complaint so they bring another Rayne plumber to do a survey. I told the plumber he didn't have my permission to manipulate or fix any pipes. But he goes ahead and attempts to fix by drilling some pipes down without consent. Then the same plumbers, Will, tells me I should have soft water in all the pipes in my home. I mention the bathroom not having soft water per independent plumber. He didn't believe it so he offer to test for soft water. To his surprise, the shower head has no soft water. He agrees with me the plumbing "works" but it is not how he would have done the plumbing. Told me the configuration is "weird". He mention he would try his best to write a report in my favor and understand my frustration that the quality of work is poor. Then management calls me the next day and tells me per Will's report states the plumbing is all correct and there is no issue. I argue with management, that I don't understand how the "plumbing is correct and there is no issue" when I am not getting soft water to one of my shower heads? And it was confirm via soft water testing kit that Rayne conducted. Makes no sense and I question the experience of your plumbers if they feel not have soft water in the bathroom is normal Rayne plumbing. Management was puzzled why I don't get soft water to one of the shower heads but then proceeds to tell me there's nothing wrong with the plumbing from Rayne's end. I was absolutely frustrated at the incompetent logic. Make this make sense Rayne told me they will bring a 3rd plumber (even more experienced than the previous two) to fix the issue. At this point, I've lost all confidence with Rayne's plumbers. All the inconsistent communication and lack of accountability made this whole experience distasteful. I opted to not to further mess up my homes interior plumbing and to go with a reputable experienced independent plumber who was able to identify the plumbing issue in 10 minutes when Rayne could not. Instead of covering a the $1600 estimate cost to replace their mistake as a measure of good faith, they offered me a 1 year of soft water maintenance for my trouble. He also commented that this option is cheaper for them than bringing in a 3rd plumber to repair. Who says that when you are doing service recovery? Absolutely ridiculous. An expensive lesson learned. Honesty, competency and accountability is lacking in this company. Truly disappointed. I would ask folks to get an independent plumber to make sure the quality of work is there because the things they did to my pipes is unethical with no accountability. Who ties a PEX pipe with strings to an existing cooper pipe? Is that even within code? You been warned.

Went with AO Smith Whole House 3 stage filter sysytem. 3 filter system Sediment filter / Carbon Block and Anti Scale. 2 of the 3 filters need to be replaced every 12-18 months and the 3'rd one once every 2 yrs. They threw in 1 each of the 12-18 month filters. In my case I also needed the pressure regulator replaced (was quoted $800.00 in the past just for that). I went through Lowe's, they had a 12 month same as cash promo, everything out the door was $2,850.00 (system plus regulator), technician/plumber came out, took 2 hours to install. They were clean and professional, billed me via Lowe's on line. In the past we used salt based softener, this system: no salt, no drain and no power, just uses the water presure from the city. Tony recommended a new faucet that I was not aware was available. I am very happy that I found Kwench. I took the machine to be serviced. Tony reconditioned our machine with what they call the white glove service. Wow, the machine looks brand new. The metal plates were filled with deposits over the years. Tony did extra cleaning to get clear water with a level of 769 (look at my photos). The lever before the cleaning was around 100. The waster started out very cloudy and ended up crystal clear after many cycles. It have been a very long time since we serviced out machine. The service takes about one hour and you can wait or come back the following day. The parking is very easy and the facilities are top notch. Tony showed me the working area where the machines are cleaned with pumps and special mixtures to get your machine to work as good as new. We are going to take our machine there one a year for cleaning from now on. Going all the way to Torrance was an option that we always put off. This store is easy to get to and we are very happy with the customer service that Kwench gave us. Our family has been drinking alkaline water for over 10 years. The benefits are noticeable when you are consistent and dedicated. I always carry my own water with me. Standard City water is 7.0pH. Bottled water is a surprising 6.5pH and has micro plastics that have recently been found inside human tissue. Look it up! The Kangen alkaline machine give us a constant 9.5pH.
