I had a terrible experience with Natalie at Rayne Water. I was told I needed to pay for tanks that were never delivered. When I questioned the charge, Natalie repeatedly told me that it was "their policy." I asked her to send me a copy of my bill, and after reviewing it together, I showed her where the charges for the undelivered tanks had already been removed from the account. Once she saw the documentation, she understood that she was mistaken. Instead of apologizing or professionally resolving the issue, her attitude became increasingly rude and confrontational. She then threatened to discontinue my service simply because I was disputing charges for products I never received. The situation got even worse when I asked to speak with a supervisor. Natalie told me she did not have one. When I asked for the corporate office phone number, she stated that the corporate office was in San Diego and told me to "Google it." That is a direct quote. Refusing to provide contact information for management and telling a customer to "Google it" is completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, Natalie hung up on me during the conversation. At that point, I told her to come pick up the equipment because I refuse to pay for products that were never delivered, and I refuse to be treated with such disrespect. No customer should have to argue over incorrect charges, be denied access to management, be told to "Google it," and then have the representative hang up on them. Rayne never disappoints. I have been a long time customer who has enjoyed its filtration and salt-free water softener system in my home. Water tastes good (for water) and the significant reduction of hard water deposits on appliances and fixtures is huge win. David Silver has been my go-to agent and has always dealt with me promptly as well as patiently in answering all my questions. He sets a high bar with customer service which is becoming very rare these days. I really enjoy not having to deal with the system at all other than to reap the benefits it provides. Yikes. From the product to the attitude of its employees, don't ever use Rayne. To keep this short- most of tanks they put in our home to treat the water stop working in a short amount of time. We call to get it replaced and prorate the days but they don't budge. The lady who claims to be a supervisor has an ugly attitude. I cancelled the service and the day the technician came to reclaim the tank, he leaves a huge mess of spilt water in the garage and when asked to clean it, he goes "Well when it rains, it makes more of a mess than this. Been renting rayne's soft water tanks for four years and finally decided to cancel so I don't have to deal with them. I love having soft water but I dont want to have to deal with this company forever. I'll be installing a water conditioning system to protect the pipes from hard water build up and chlorine smell (if anyone's also looking for an alternative). The first couple of years was fine. They were always on time and the tanks were working for well over two weeks. However for the last two years or so we constantly have tanks that would deplete in a week or a little longer - way before scheduled tank exchange. Our lifestyle is the same and I don't believe scv water just suddenly got so much harder. My theory is that they need a massive replacement for their old tanks which I don't think they're going to invest. The final straw for me to want to write this bad review is the tech that came to take the tank away. He let himself in the garage, took the tank, and left so much water on the floor and the stuff around. When I confronted him about it he said rain leaves more water than this. I asked him to clean it up, he said he doesn't carry mops in the truck and that its just water it'll dry up. No apologies, just attitudes. Wow. Great job hiring this guy rayne. Wouldn't it make sense to bring a bucket or rags if you know water will be flooding out of the pipes when you take them apart?? Very unprofessional and I lose all trust in the company for having employees like this going into people's homes unannounced. We had a great experience with Rayne Water thanks to their technician, Erik V. He did an awesome job fixing the placement of our RO system and was super patient with our (admittedly a little OCD!) requests about where to move the RO faucet. Really appreciated that he took the time to double-check the placement with us before drilling anything. He worked quickly, was very professional, and also just a genuinely nice guy. I was looking for a water softener company to add this feature to my home, my Daughter had used Rayne for about 4 years and she recommended i give them a call, i went to their web site and they had a short questionaire type list to fill out that asked what type of service i was interested in. After a very brief few clicks i was ready to get a call back to set up an appointment, they called me back within an hour and we had an appointment date and time to have a sales representative come over and look at where we could place the water softener tank in my garage. Upon the agreed date and time the area supervisor David, came over and i had shown him the place where i thought the tank would best be placed, he agreed and told me what would happen next and explained the process and what to do about diverting un treated water to use for gardening and plant watering as softened water has minute traces of salt and will harm plants. David was a great guy to talk to and seemed like an old friend and we had a lot to talk about in our personal lives and interests and his family and mine. On the day of installation of the water treatment system, John arrived on time and was ready to get started, he explained what he was going to do and had the job done within an hour, I have a brother that is a plumber and i have personally done about a hundred or more plumbing jobs on my current home and homes i have owned in the past 40+ years, and the cutting into the copper inlet pipe from the city water line into my house was cleanly done, sweat soldered joints were perfect and flex lines to the softener tank were expertly installed. Everything was perfect and the soft water was noticed immediately on my shower use and dishwasher use that night. $41.50 monthy and one time $99 installation charge to do all the necissary plumbing work, can't get much better than that AND my daughter received a $75 bonus for telling me about her Rayne deal off her next bill. Damaged my property and refusing to pay! Worst customer service. Albert the operations guy hung up on us 3 x and David Silver has not bothered to give us a call. We were told they could not do anything about it and to get an invoice and send to them. I sent the invoice and they are refusing to pay since they saw the amount. We are out of pocket and mind you that invoice was for my pool. They haven't even been billed for the other damages that occurred. I have video that is time stamped and pictures to show proof of all the damage. They think that they were just paying for a measly little part. Nope! You damaged my pool and the surrounding area. I would love to hear from others that have had damage on their property. Also my water tastes bad and we should have changed them long ago. I will be testing my water to check it and document. Been living in SCV for about 8 years now and just got tired of the hard water we get so I called the two big companies in the area. The other folks came first, not very impressed with their presentation, their lack of simply sending me info on what we talked about nor their reviews on next door app. They had a 3 and a 5 year contract and I read on next door how hard it is to cancel with them. Dave from Rayne stopped by, very informative and nice low pressure guy. I liked what he had to offer and their services are on month to month so I'm not obligated to stay with them if I'm not happy with them. Personally when a company gives you the MTM option instead of a long term contract, it speaks volume for their confidence (we shall see if I'm right, if not I'll update review). Anyways it seemed like a good value with a good company so I signed that day. Dave coordinated an install the following week which was today! Erik and Park came in and Erik went inside to do the reverse osmosis under the sink and install a faucet while Park worked on the tanks and all the piping for the whole house water and softeners. I've been a customer for several years. I recently (2 years ago) bought another condo here and added this service there also. Our HOA requires us to cover the tanks because they don't like the aesthetics of the bare tanks and plumbing. On several occasions after a tank exchange, the BYPASS valve was not switched back to SERVICE! Such a simple, IMPORTANT thing to do! Many customers may not even pay attention to this, especially if the delivery guy puts the cover back on. This not a difficult job to perform. The entire tank swap is done by strong, unskilled laborers. Grunt work. My invoice lists the future delivery dates. I mark them on a calendar so I can PREPARE for them. I have to keep the gate unlocked and make sure the dogs are not out on the patio for MOST OF THE DAY because we never know just when they will show up! Last week (a Thursday) NO ONE came to switch out the tanks at either location! NO ONE called to let us know they would NOT be coming out! When I called around 4:15pm, Rayne was already closed. I left a VM message. I got a call back the next morning. They said that the delivery guy MARKED THE CARD ON THURSDAY AS DELIVERED FOR BOTH ADDRESSES!! THAT is called FALSIFYING RECORDS! But as hard as it seems to be for Rayne to hire good workers, I wonder if that guy will get fired. I was told that this would be rescheduled for the following Monday, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! (Your fault, not mine!) And for the inconvenience, I would be credited $10 on my next bill! We'll see if that happens. Someone came out the next day, FRIDAY, and changed out ONE of the tanks, but NOT the other! (What sense does THAT make?) But not without doing some damage to one of the condos. This is the SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED! Monday came and the other tank was exchanged without incident. ALBERT said that they are NOT OBLIGATED to take responsibility for ANY damage that the company does to YOUR property!! Others have posted the same response! A company should NOT be allowed to damage your property and not own up to it! A reputable company HAS Liability Insurance for such things! To not use that insurance would seem to be immoral....and cheap. Total (mis)management decision. The so-called 5-star rating appears to be a thing of the past, based on previous years of better service it seems. read more

If I could give this Service zero stars, I would. The Customer service is embarrassing and the man behind the phone, aggressive. We have had Rayne water service for a long time now. I think we have been serviced half the amount of time that we have paid for. We stay home on delivery day with the exception of a couple times when we have been out of town, and very rarely hear the delivery person knock on the door, and never hear them ring the doorbell. We often have two cars in the driveway, and we still will not hear them knock on the door. If they are attempting to reach us, the knock is not audible, and they are not ringing the doorbell. This is where the scam comes in. If you call them to redeliver because you didn't hear them knock on the door, they then charge you another $25 for the delivery fee. Rayne water refuses to redeliver without charging more. However, they are very happy to continue to take your money while the customer gets nothing in return. I think we have had one proper delivery in the last couple months. But they are happy to keep charging us anyway! Today was delivery day. My husband was home again all day, as he works from home. His office door was open and the front door is in earshot of his office. We got a notice that the Rayne delivery person came by and attempted to reach us 15 minutes prior to me calling the office. I happened to open the front door and saw the tag. However, there was no audible Knock on the door and there is never a doorbell ring. I called Rayne water and a gentleman, or rather aggressive, adult male, got on the phone and told me his policy was just that the delivery person arrive and stay there for five minutes. Their policy is not to require that they knock on the door. He said since the delivery guy arrived and stayed there for five minutes according to his gps, That's all he's required to do. I finally requested a refund for the month and an immediate shut off of the service, since they had taken several hundreds of dollars from us without providing the product paid for. He refused to refund us and told us that we would have to pay for this month whether or not the water was delivered, and that if we wanted a re-delivery, they would be willing to do it for an additional $25. My gut instinct is that this business does not actually try to knock on the door so that you can hear it, so that you will be forced to reschedule, and therefore they can make an extra $25 on top of the $80 you pay for the service. Fraud. I am very disappointed in the way this was handled. I am a female and a male should never speak to a female with that aggressive tone. I requested to end the conversation several times, and the man on the phone refused to let me do so. he continued to blame me, and throw the kitchen sink into the conversation, so as to turn all attention off of him and his company. I kept having to refocus the conversation on the situation that just occurred. I was repeatedly saying that I would like to shut the service down and end the phone call. I requested the man repeatedly stop talking to me with a condescending tone and blaming me for the lack of delivery. He continued... it was an incredibly uncomfortable phone call. .... also, I originally got the service because Santa Clarita has very dry weather, and I thought that the water would help, but it didn't. The water is probably tapwater like everything else. TERRIBLE STAY AWAY!!!!!! they will try to take as much money from you as possible without delivering the product paid for. Customer service is great! Great people when I give them a call and great employees that come and drop off the tanks. But sometimes I see brown water coming out of my sinks and have a grime that's built around all my toilet bowls... I clean them regularly and have the Clorox tab.. when I call to tell them about the brown water concern, they tell me that the tanks produce that due to the heat, but even on cold weeks my brand new tanks produce brown water. At the beginning of my service there was no brown water, but for about a year there has been consistent brown water in new tanks. I will be most likely be transferring service to cullingan. read more

Purchased a high end system in October 2023 along with a VIP maintenance package, however they do not regularly check the system to see if it needs salt or if there are other issues. Called two weeks ago to complain of black water. No response. Called again and they are telling me that service is not available for 3 weeks. I asked if it's safe to drink the water and their response, "that's up to you." Unbelievably bad customer service and no concern for the well-being of their customers. Thanks for the response David. We are probably one of their longest customers Today John Sitterle came out to service my unit because I noticed some clumped up salt on the outside of the tank. First of all I can't recommend Rayne enough for your soft water needs. I have never known what it's like to have hard water because as I said my family has had soft water through Rayne my entire life. This was my first time meeting John and he is very kind, knowledgeable and professional. He saw what the issue is right away and replaced the part. Not only that but he was very patient explaining what he was doing and why to Nicholas who came with him and is being trained.
