I booked a nanosculpt online ($70)and upgraded it to an hour($85), i don't know why I was expecting to relax when I came in the beat was bumping, people talking loudly. I already wanted to leave. I sat in the uncomfortable chair, the girl told me she wasn't gonna do the nanosculpt. Instead she was going to do the virgin bundle($45), with the hour ($85). Then told me they were credit my account with the difference. I was uneasy but I said okay. We went through the very overstimulating and rushed facial-didn't use gloves or anything, trying to relax but maybe this environment wasn't for me at this time. Then I went to the register and the girl told me i owed $40....i now had the original booking on my bank account and this...i didn't say anything, just left feel overwhelmed, overstimulated and overcharged. This was an excellent experience for my second go-around. CYDF is VERY CLEAN, and the staffing is always very friendly and eager to help with any product selections or questions and concerns. I've been here a couple of times. It's clean inside and never too busy, which is good since it's setup like barber shop style with a few chairs in an open space. Their standard facial is 30 minutes long, even with add ons of peels or extractions. There is an option for a 60 minute upgrade; however, the price doesn't justify it. They're fine if you're looking for a quick facial. I'm a sucker and they've always got me to do some add-ons so I'm not even sure what the facial would constitute without the add-ons. 30 minutes of just rubbing my face?? I don't know. I've also only come when there have been specials as their regular price doesn't seem justifiable for what you get without any add-ons, for the price it should be at least 45 minutes. This is a somewhat new addition to the Kroger shopping plaza, located on the upper level of the building. Luckily, there is an elevator available in case stairs aren't doable for you. The facial itself was very informative, although I would have preferred a private room - for that quiet, dedicated session fur more relaxation. My technician was very friendly, and detailed each step of the process, so as to not alarm me - I'd had a stressful day. The Virgin bundle definitely left my skin feeling hydrated. And I MUST say, the ice queen globes are Heaven! Following the session, my technician highlighted the items used, which are displayed on the wall opposite the check-in desk. Had to be the worst facial I've ever had but I guess you get what you pay for. I booked a 30 min facial. The tech was 6 min late and finished 5 min early. So let's round it up to 20. She started by unsuccessfully removing my makeup. I got home and had to do the whole makeup removing routine, and the sponges and the cotton rounds were very dirty, see pic. She then proceeded to VIGOROUSLY rub my skin, stretching it every which way. I treat my skin gently as it should be, and I felt literally violated. I told her the pressure was too much, she acknowledged it and proceeded as though I didn't say a thing. The only thing that felt good was the cooling wands. Came here for my first ever facial. This place is located in Sandy springs inside of a strip mall with alot of other nice businesses so there was plenty of parking. I found a spot right upfront and went upstairs to enter the building. I was greeted at the front desk and immediately taken to the back to begin my facial. I opted for a Glow treatment with a $10 add on for extractions. My esthetician started by cleaning my face and turning on a steam treatment to open my pores. She massaged in a few different types of products to brighten the skin, extracted some acne and finished with a cooling treatment. Overall, this was a great first facial. Ultimately, I'm still not sure facials are my thing, but I would definitely recommend other go and try it to at least learn what type of skin they have and purchase a few products for home treatments. read more

Many things for Kristen including me in this yelp elite event! Nicky was extremely helpful in booking my appointment and pairing me with options that would best suit my complexion and goals to ensure the great outcome I received. CYDF's Sandy Spring location is in same complex as the Kroger and USPS, and many other businesses. This area afforded ample parking, and company signage on 2nd floor was easily visible from the lot. Stairs were to the left of entrance, but did not observe access for mobility challenged. The interior of CYDF had product selection displayed in a fashion that was not too busy, and packaging matched the vibrant interior. Items were named in the vein of yoga styles (e.g. vinyasa) and afforded the same tranquility for your skin as was explained by the gentleman at the front desk. He and his two helpers answered my questions and was attentive from check in to departure. My technician was very knowledgeable on skin types and best products to administer. My facial included the virgin package as I was overdue on getting one. The virgin package consisted of extractions and oxygenation of the skin. Also selected the pumpkin peel to even out my complexion. The distinction was clarified between brightening and evening out skin coloring to ensure receiving desired results. All aforementioned components are paramount for healthy skin and a good way to combat the harsh winter weather. Tatiana provided details on each step of the treatment and advised on best items to purchase for achieving a continuous glow (see pics). I arrived on time for my 1130 am facial appointment. I added on the Virgin Bundle, which included pumpkin peel, extractions, and Hydra Boost for an additional $35. The young lady doing my facial did an amazing job explaining each step in the facial. She gave great feedback and suggestions. She started by reviewing my skin under the light after placing a towel over my chest and a wrap around my face to create a barrier from my face and hair. She suggested the Virgin Bundle, which I was going to add but couldn't during booking. She cleaned my face. Reviewed my skin for dry areas. She said I needed extractions around my nose and chin area. She said to notify her if it was too painful. It was painful, but beauty is pain. Lol. She then did the pumpkin peel followed by the hydro blasts I believed. She cleaned my skin and then applied an aloe and eucalyptus treatment to my skin, hyaluronic serum, and then some skin oils. She rubbed these ice-cold rocks on my face and massaged my skin. My first experience at CYDF was amazing I came to CYDF during a Yelp elite event. My technician was named Kaylee. She was an awesome conversationalist. She explained all of the products and how they would benefit my skin (short and long-term). The music was phenomenal (especially compared to the boring "chill" music and expensive other facial places). The entire vibe was upbeat and fun. Initially, I was worried that a 30 minute express facial would not leave me feeling refreshed, but I was completely wrong! I was blown away with how amazing my skin felt. I also really loved how fresh and natural the products smelled. I really liked the Savasanna toner - which features lemon and green tea. The pumpkin peel was also phenomenal (and especially tingly!). My skin felt extremely moisturized. I attribute this to the fact that they use oils rather than moisturizers. I received an abundance of compliments afterward. I visited Clean Your Dirty Face for the first time yesterday to take advantage of a killer deal with Yelp. Just $4.04 for a 30-minute facial?! Yes, please! I literally booked a sitter so that I could try this out, haha. (This homemaker mom wants some time to pamper herself!) I've had 4 facials before in my life, all at spas, small skincare specialist businesses, or private businesses (Plum Yumi day spa south of Atlanta and Nancy's RX in Midtown and Blue Divine at Paces). The thought of going to a facial *salon* was new to me, and I wasn't sure if I would like it, but heck, at such a low price, I wanted to try it out. The vibe I was expecting: a chatty, busy vibe like you get at a hair salon The vibe I got (and actually wanted!): simple, quiet, and relaxing I'm SO glad that the atmosphere was more toned down than what I thought it'd be like. (I probably would've liked more chill music than the modern hits that were playing, but that's me being picky.) The salon is separated into 2 main areas: reception and shop up front, and the treatment area behind a wall. The treatment area has 3 chairs, which may be all full during the weekends, but today, there was just 1 esthetician working. Anissa was lovely. Her manner and approach were warm and welcoming while still being professional. Basically the perfect blend of casual and "I know exactly how to take care of your skin and can tell you everything you want to know about it." We made some lighthearted conversation, but I was also given plenty of time to just be quiet and relaxed, and I'm certain that if I were to say "I just want to be quiet today," I wouldn't have had to say a word. After listening to my concerns, she recommended the "Fresh" option for my 30-minute facial. She talked me through each of the products before she placed them on my face. I really like learning, so I appreciate it anytime someone caring for me gives me the details. We also talked more in-depth about one of my skin concerns, and she gave me helpful advice and some brand recommendations. There was one tingly, almost stinging step of the facial, which I was glad to have wiped off when it was time, but beyond that, everything felt so luxurious. I wished for a longer facial, and I went ahead and purchased a voucher for another one (at a cheaper rate) so that I could make sure to come again and enjoy again! While CYDF doesn't have all the treatments the typical spa will have, I'd still recommend it for those who are looking for maintenance, something cheaper and simpler (and less overwhelming), something faster and accessible, and for someone who's never had a facial before and wants to try it out at a manageable price. Came here for a second time the other day, but brought my mom, sister, godmother and grandmother with me this time for their first facials and everyone loved the experience! Location: I knew where it was but the first time I came it was a little difficult to spot with the GPS. It's in the Kroger shopping center. It you are facing Kroger it's on your left. It's on the top left of all of the businesses on that strip. You do have to go up stairs. My grandmother can't walk up stairs, but there is an elevator in the center of the strip of businesses. You can take that right up and then when you walk out of the elevator on top you take a right and walk down to CYDF. Staff: The staff was so friendly and helpful as it was everyone's first time. Kristin, the manager, was very nice! Olivia was great as well and actually took more time with each step than I was expecting. The first time I went, it seemed like less time was spent massaging in the oil or using the ice rollers, but Olivia did a great job and took her time! I don't know the name of the person doing my grandmothers facial, but I could hear them as they were right next to me. She did a great job recommending things and was very patient, since my grandmother has extremely sensitive skin and wouldn't be able to get certain add-ons, she recommended what she should get that would be best for her case. Experience: 10/10! The facial is semi quick so you can easily stop by without taking up too much time, but at the same time it is very relaxing and they do a great job of not rushing anything! Some people complain about the openness of the space. There aren't curtains or private rooms, it is just individual chairs. Honestly you are spaced out enough and you close your eyes during most of it so it isn't a problem. There are also lights and steam machines in between everyone so you don't at all feel right on top of anyone, and no one is looking at you haha for me the openness was not at all an issue. Price: They have a virgin discount of 50% off for your first time! They also are currently running a deal for a free facial if you live in their zip code. They seem to have promotions every now and then. Without a discount, facials are 50$, then you can add on things if you'd like. They have 10$ and 20$ add-Ons. I usually get the pumpkin peel (20$) and extractions (10$). I wasn't asked about booking my next appointment that day, but my sister was and she said they told her it was only 35$ for her next one if she booked there, which isn't bad! We ended up booking when we got home though because she needed to see when the next time she would be visiting me would be, since she lives about an hour away. We hesitated to do the 99$ unlimited facials per month, but even if we go twice a month, it is the same price if we pay separately. We were prescribed twice a month, but for the moment are doing 1 per month! We would take advantage of an unlimited deal if it either included add-Ons, or if it was a bit cheaper or if we actually needed to more than 2x a month but for now paying per visit is okay for us and we definitely plan to visit at least once a month :) read more

However, it's good if you want a quick facial/ need a quick glow for an event/ or maybe to do a Monthly facial maintenance. It's also not a private facial and by this what I mean is that it's as if you walked into a hair salon with 4-5 facial chair-beds and everyone gets their facial next to each other. She was so nice and understood I had never had a facial and examined my skin and told me just what I needed. She explained everything she was about to do before she did it and what she was about to put on my face. I wasn't worried at all by this time. No matter what your age is, don't be nervous to get a facial and don't feel like you are too old and don't need one. It is the most relaxing experience. Her massages of my face were wonderful. I wish I had gotten one a long time ago. It made my face fill so rejuvenated and my dry skin felt so hydrated. I was so relaxed after my facial. It was wonderful. Sadly, I didn't enjoy my experience. It's very much a casual and rushed business model as I should've expected since the concept hints at it. The entirety of my facial, I was just ready to finish and get on with my day. Yet, I had no plans for the day so I was just ready to get out that uncomfortable chair. I didn't feel relaxed with the loud, upbeat top 40 tracks in the background. Worst of all, the service itself was subpar. I got the virgin bundle which was a waste of money and time. I liked the cleanser and steamer but the pumpkin enzyme peel... rushed, it didn't dry or have an impact because it sat for no more than 60 seconds after fully applied. Enzyme peels are supposed to sit to eat away dead skin, this certainly wasn't accomplished. The extractions were laughable, I actually only added on the virgin bundle for an extraction on my forehead that I wanted out but the esthetician insisted it was only texture as if the raised area wasn't visible. She also mentioned she feared not scarring my face, so I take it she didn't extract well because she's simply not skilled enough to avoid breaking skin and leaving permanent marks. The area I wanted extracted was formerly inflamed and healed, that said my past and current esthetician(s) have never had an issue with scarring an active acne area. Beyond the poor or lack of extractions was the oxygen portion which was also glossed over, this portion took about 1-2 minutes. Basically, the virgin bundle simply had no efficacy because it all occured in under 10 minutes. It truly wasn't worth the additional money and it added on no time. After the bundle was a hot towel which was nice for this grey, chilly late autumn day then the brightening mask with ice globes which I did enjoy. The moisturizer application took the longest, she massaged it in for about 10 minutes and I suspect this step was the longest not because of the face massage. It was the longest step because everything else was so rushed she had to extend it. I enjoyed the massage despite her dry, bare hands, she had a nice technique. Simply put, I understand why the facial was free as I only paid for the add-on. I have visited the Halcyon location which was much better in terms of the atmosphere, it's less crowded and my esthetician seemed highly skilled and concerned with my results. I don't feel I achieved any results at this appointment, it's only for surface level results. As for customer service, at checkout I mentioned the appointment was mediocre when asked and the gentleman at the front desk didn't seemed concerned to ask how could it had been better. He asked how it was just out of standard not out of genuine concern and to retrieve feedback. He asked for payment after I told him my experience, I paid and went on with my day... wishing I had went to my regular spa.
