This is one of a number of facial studios that has popped up on this stretch of Ventura Blvd. I checked them out after they came to a pop up event at my spin studio. I was super impressed. It was very easy to book, great communication. The products they used were really nice. I left feeling clean and hydrated. But the stand out star was my technician, Bella, who was super sweet and made the whole treatment feel very pampering. Efficient, relaxing, and the products don't have any irritating smells (I have sensitivities to so many scents). I found out about this place on The Nudge, and thought it would be a good idea to purchase a facial for my fiancé since she hasn't been feeling well. She showed up to the venue and everything went well with the appointment, but the staff miscommunicated the bundle. The point was for her to go in and take care of herself and walk out. The technician informed her that extraction bundle would be an additional $15, but she meant and $15 dollars more then the $35 dollar facial, so shed be paying $50 on top of the $35. That's misleading and poor communication. I don't appreciate how this was communicated, and seems like a poor way to coax someone into making another purchase. read more

Don't be fooled by their "deals", it's because they're robbing you either way cause these are a sorry excuse for a "facial". They do "extractions" with a spatula that damages your skin. Then they proceed to put products on your face that you can get at the dollar store and don't benefit your face in any sort of way. This is just a quick money grab, don't get fooled. I paid $80 dollars for my face to be sprayed with cold air and then endured a weird painful facial massage. Save your money, this place is shameless. I saw an ad for this place on Tiktok. It's more of a togo facial not the typical in your own room you are in a common area with orher ladies. But they talk quiet enough for you to hear and not disrupt the other guest. They play music and had an amazing playlist. I had the pleasure of having Hyla do my facial, I decided to upgrade and get the pumpkin peel, hydro and neck massage. She was very informative on what to help with one of my problem area's. Everything she did she described what it helped and how it would feel. While the pumpkin peel was on she offered a hand massage, how awesome! Hyla made it relaxing, the massage and the cold stones felt like I was getting a $100 massage. The one thing I hated was when it was over it was so relaxing to have a service done to you and being able to just close your eyes and be spoiled. read more

While the facialist & front desk was very pleasant, it looked a bit too shabby in there. Back of house was a little dingy/makeshift. Also, be sure to bring your own sunscreen as they don't use or carry sunscreen (which is so silly imo.) The decor was "ikea meets hair salon" & no real space between salon chairs, which in this case was ok because I was with friends, but if I was alone would feel off. Thank you to Bella and Kim who did an incredible job. Love how you can pick and choose which add-on services you want. We really liked their dancer face oil and scorpion scrub. Really cool how you can even book CYDF for a party also. I just had what was the worst facial of my entire life (if you can call it that). Let's start from the top. The products they use are very low quality. I basically paid $70 for someone to smother St Ives products on my face. I also paid an extra $35 for the "virgin bundle" which allegedly included extractions, oxygen blast and a pumpkin mask. The extractions were non existent. My technician literally squeezed my nose (and not remotely hard enough to extract ANYTHING) for maybe 2 minutes and didn't touch anything else on my face... The pumpkin mask was fine, in fact I used to buy one just like it for $12 at CVS when I was in college...not what should be used for a "professional" facial. The oxygen boost was the most confusing thing i've ever seen. They literally use an air pump (like the kind you use in a paint class) and just spray air on your face for one minute! After this series of strange events a strong lemon scented astringent was rubbed on my face, and then they proceeded to rub my face in weird motions for 5 minutes. Then finally, the torture was over. Go literally anywhere else. This was not worth even $15. read more

I had been gifted a gift certificate from my sister. I had also given her a gift card. I booked the appointment on the phone so as to get us two appointments at the same time. I explained to the person on the phone that we had gift certificates. Imagine our surprise and disappointment when the girl at the front said the printed gift certificate could not be used. When I booked the appointment I was never informed that a paper gift certificate would not be valid. At our insistence, she tried calling her manager and was not able to reach her. My sister tried calling again the next day to speak to the manager and again no where to be found. She left a message and then sent an email to customer service and still nothing. I had a frustrating experience here. I booked a facial on classpass but then when I got there they didn't have the booking. the receptionist was cold and unhelpful. I showed her the booking, the email confirmation on my end and the deducted credits ($$) on classpass and she kept shrugging and suggesting I simply pay twice. when I contacted classpass they said the booking was visible on their end and they have no idea "clean your dirty face" didn't see it or had issues as they can see their booking on their end as well. classpass refunded me but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and frankly embarrassed me. read more

My hair stylist turned me on to this gem and so glad she did :-) Walked in thinking just to try it out and walked out with a membership! Mind you, it actually took some convincing to understand why I needed a facial in the first place and I dont have time to spend an hour or more in a chair. So when I saw my glowing face in the mirror AND less than 45 minutes had passed by.. well! I have had two facials thus far one with Alexa and the second with Isis. Im told all the staff, including those manning the front desk are aestheticians and I can believe it. Alexa immediately identified a skin concern that I actually thought was normal and suggested a treatment that immediately lessened it. (which also emphasized that I need to wear sunscreen every day) I should also mention that I'm a brown-skinned black woman for those among the melanated who may be reading. The aestheticians who have worked with me so far - both of different ethnicities - seemed quite knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with my skin in their hands. Two weeks I say that two weeks after the fact, not just the day of. Of course, you should lean into your own intuition and comfort levels but I would and have recommended Clean Your Dirty Face to friends of different ethnicities and melanin levels. Let me address a couple things that have turned others off: 1. No, there isn't meditation music rolling through. I get most people look for a little zen in their facial experience, but I'm far happier with the upbeat-and-not-obnoxious mix of Selena, Maroon 5 and Beyonce. Not sure who does their mix but pretty much any demographic will hear something that puts them in a good mood. (And personally, sometimes I just want a facial. Sometimes, I'm more stressed out wondering when an appointment is going to end so I can get back to my day:) 2. There are three stations for facials, but only one appointment is allowed at the Studio City due to current precautions. read more

To the reader. I have been searching for a nice facial spot for a while now and drove 45 min to studio city in 4pm traffic in LA for this experience. Very underwhelming experience. I was excited when I went online to book my facial only to find that I could not book, upon calling they told me the system is complicated. I asked to just book the 30min facial and add on the oxygen boost. I was then told that I would have to pay online. Not quiet understanding, I asked to speak with a manager who helped book and said I could pay in person. I then called back to confirm that I was doing the hour facial etc. long story short, there is zero communication in the store. There is no parking so I was a bit late. Just a heads up. After finally finding parking and arriving I was very excited for a relaxing massage and facial. The front desk women said " just sign so we can started" (in my opinion my skin is very important especially the skin on your face) And thought that letting them know my allergies were just a little bit important. As I walked back behind the very extravagant front office I was met with small room with 3 chairs and not much of an atmosphere. As I told my (I would hope esthetician) about how excited I was for my massage and hour long facial she looked confused. I was told they only had me down for a 30min facial. No massage for me. Ok that's fine. I'm not an esthetician but have a basic understanding that your skin needs to be moist or wet if you're going to apply a cleaners (this was not an oil cleanser) The chair was a little uncomfortable and I was pretty much up right, I actually wondered how she was able to see my face. After washing the cleanser off, she begins the extractions. Completely missing a massive pimple on my cheek which I was really hoping she would get. Nope. After extractions she starts apply a mud mask of some kind (she never showed the products to me, or told me what was inside of them in detail. She didn't really know much about them) to a completely paper dry face, I felt like my skin needed a facial after this facial. If you're still reading you look out for your skin just like I do, since we only have one face and care about where you get your facials. One other thing that took a back step to my "Clean your dirty face" experience wast the fact that they use food grade plastic gloves, I was told it was latex which is smooth to the touch. I felt like sand paper was washing my face unfortunately. Not sure why they do this. I feel like this franchise is not focused on skin care, I feel like they are just a buisness. I walked by and saw the name, I was interested and turned off at the same time. It's a community facial place (space for three people to get facials at the same time). I was the only one there, which was good considering we are having a pandemic. The esthetician was nice and friendly. The deal is the facial is 30 minutes and $50 with additional things you can add on. The facial was nice, the products they used were also good. The towels were cold, which wasn't the best. The facial massage was heaven. I think its for young people. It's not spa like at all, it's "cool" with loudish music that wasn't soothing but I guess that's what they're going for. Got a facial here recently: the Deepest Clean Bundle actually. Booked through classpass. I have very oily, acne prone skin and my main purpose for getting a facial was to get an extraction. The extraction part of the 60 min facial was maybe 3 minutes total which is crazy for a facial that's supposed to be centered on deep cleaning the face. When I got home I looked closer at my pores and realized I was still pretty congested. I used to get old school extractions from an esthetician and it would take at least 30 minutes and my pores would look so clean after. If that's what you're looking for, do not come here!! The rest of the facial was them putting on and rinsing off various different masks, icing my face with ice rollers, putting an led light on me for 1 minute and layering different creams and oils on my face. With all due respect, I have creams at home. I also have an ice roller and even an LED mask. I can do all those things myself at home. At the end she lathered 3 layers of different oils on my face. I was uneasy and asked if this is okay to do for acne prone skin and she said yes but I felt uneasy about it as everyone knows most oils are pore clogging. I left looking like a grease pan. One hour later I had a pimple on the top of my lip. I haven't had a pimple on the top of my lip in at least 5 years and I'm still getting more little breakouts and my pores are so congested. If I hadn't booked on classpass, I would have had to pay $165. That's beyond ridiculous for somewhere that literally just puts products on your face. This is just another aesthetic scam in La La land. read more
