I called and spoke with Jan - she was extremely helpful and pleasant. I then met with Dr. Nesbitt who subsequently suggested what I should do and fitted me with custom musician earplugs. (He knew he was going to improve my life significantly). He gave me a very thorough hearing test and told me my hearing loss was moderate to severe. He told me to see an ENT to have the wax removed. It was a BIG hunk of wax, but it popped out easily. When I came for my rescheduled appointment, there was Chris, all smiles as if nothing had happened. The test showed my hearing continues to fail so both were were reset upwards. Chris cleaned them so they were all shiny like new. I adore these people!

If you want a competent audiology test and recommendations for a fair priced hearing aid, this is likely not the place. That said, I'm sure the audiology test is competent but they have several flat fee plans. The first tier offered to me was an $8,000 flat fee. It ties you to them for a number of years, likely yearly tests and they clean the hearing aids. The lowest tier is $3,000 flat fee which commits you to them for a year I believe and offers you a selection of refurbished hearing aids donated by other patients. For the right person with cash to burn this might be perfect. However, it's not what I want nor need. The above is my impression after visiting their offices and speaking with the person handling reception. Apparently she also does the audiology tests. Not certain if she's a receptionist or an audiologist. I did not ask.

My…read moreinsurance company gave me a list of five audiologists within a 10 mile radius of my home and I picked Rancho Sante Fe Audiology figuring they would have the most discerning patients and they would be the best doctors. And how right I was. Dr. Blitts calmly and patiently took me through all the audiology testing and determined I was a good candidate for hearing aids. She explained all the benefits and costs of the various options and together we chose the WideX brand based on their superior technology and comfort. Dr. Blitts showed me all the incredible features on the accompanying app and I must say I am very satisfied with both the hearing aids and particularly with Dr. Blitts caring care. She's a gem. My husband has been wearing Resound aids for about six years. He has had them " tuned up" several times with another company. Recently, one hearing aid went dead and the another was full of static. Bummer. He went to the local company where the aides were purchased. They recommended an expensive rebuild or a new pair. Wanting a second opinion, he went to Advanced Hearing Care. Enter Brandon, our hero! He looked the aides over and said, " Let me take these to the back room and work some magic." And he did. In no time at all he had renovated both. I had to go to urgent care and it took almost 3 days for the bleeding to stop. I've LED on my bed my pillow and even the floor. I am 88 years old and even though he is service this community for a number of years he neglected to ask me if I was on blood thinner. I would not recommend this business. And will never go back.
