When a pipe burst on our air conditioning unit and flooded our basement Clear Coast came out immediately to assess the damage and worked side-by-side with us to get our insurance company to cover ALL DAMAGES. I had a sudden flood and I was skeptical to call my insurance company. I had called clear Coast restoration and they came out the same day. They called my insurance company and knew exactly what to say so the claim wouldn't get denied and my damages would get covered. They set up containment and removed the damaged materials. dried out the section that was damaged and was able to put it back like nothing never happened. It's not fun when you're home floods but it's nice to know that someone is on your side and knows how to coordinate with your insurance. Please DON'T NOT be mislead by this company's 4.5 stars review. I can show you better than I can tell you. First, Jeremy is a horrible person to conduct business with. He's the one who canceled the work on my bathroom without any reason or notification. My insurance company called and advised me to find another company because they were advised by clearcoast that they were no longer working on my bathroom. Basically I have to start over with getting estimates and search for a company who will come in and pickup from where they left off. This is just not right. Clearcoast knew exactly what they were doing once my insurance paid them $6100 (excessively inflated) to dry out the floor they took the check and ran. They demolished my bathroom 2 months ago and for no apparent reason decided to cancel the job and not come back. Clear Coast Restoration company was Great! Great! Great! From beginning to end. Quick to come with emergency dry-out equipment after our dishwasher burst a line and flooded our kitchen. Owner Jason was quick to look for other water damage. Found water that flowed under the wall to the living room carpet. Jason was also present and conferred with Insurance claim adjuster to make sure no damage was missed or underestimated on the claim. This was invaluable!!! We were overwhelmed with the damage to our house. Didn't know what had to be done next. Clear Coast knew and made it happen. We are extremely happy and satisfied with our new kitchen. Clear Coast coordinated next day testing for asbestos and lead presence required before demo. Abatement and demo began by Burns Environmental a few days later. Our house was protected from the huge, huge mess and contamination of cabinet, tile countertop removal, wet flooring, wet drywall and insulation removal. Clear Coast quickly sent in their rebuild construction manager Jeremy to help layout and plan new cabinets, countertops and flooring. There were so many decisions to be made for the kitchen, and I was caring for an ill family member at the same time. Jeremy was patient and very helpful. He referred us to a local supply house to get us started. As we made decisions on new cabinets, countertops and flooring, Clear Coast continued with all the little things- like daily monitoring the dry out equipment with great support from Leslie in the office who checked in with me several times a week to coordinate who was coming, when, what for and made sure the rebuild was progressing. They had to schedule the abatement testing, demo, drywall repair, painting, countertop measuring, fab and install, flooring install and so many details in between to keep the rebuild from stalling out. WOW! Every craftsman that Clear Coast sent to rebuild their part of our kitchen was professional and had outstanding skills. Each treated our house like their own. I was able to relax and trust the job would be done well. That was a big deal to me, to turn our house over to strangers. Jeremy, the rebuild construction manager was always present and coordinated with me on the never ending details. He kept the job moving along. We were never left wondering what was happening. After cabinets were installed 2 weeks early, Jeremy quickly scheduled the quartz countertop team to measure and fab. Before the install, Jeremy came and laid the 5/8" plywood for the countertop support and determined the cuts for faucet, and assured that proper support for the cast iron undermount sink was in place and got so many other things ready. It was obvious he knew what he was doing. The quartz countertop and backsplash install team had a smooth install. Everything fit. 45 degree seams are invisible. Salvatore and his install team did an incredible job!!! Flooring team came next for the new porcelain plank tile. The lines are straight! The curve is perfect. Jeremy helped me choose the grout color. Thank you. It's beautiful! Lastly, Jeremy did not hesitate to return to complete the list of final installs -faucet, sink plumbing, garbage disposal, sink light, move in stove, frig, switchplate covers, tons of little things. Victor did a great job with the baseboards and floor trim. Everybody that we watched work on our home has done an excellent job. We were impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship. I absolutely love the work of Clear Coast. I had a hot water slab leak. The crew came out on a weekend and started the drying process. They interacted with the insurance company and helped process the claim. They walked me through the reconstruction process. I'm terribly disappointed. I had a kitchen sink leak. This company came out removed, the cabinets, the back board (drywall), insulation and covering of the concrete floor underneath the kitchen cabinets. The pictures below are how they left my house. They REFUSED to replace the drywall/plywood (backboard), insulation and covering for the concrete floor that "they" themselves removed- because I did not want to use them to resurface or paint the cabinets. They were the first person I called however, I did not use them because when I spoke to Jeremy initially asking for samples of stain or paint work he advised that they don't paint or resurface cabinets that they only provide/install NEW cabinets. Weeks later I was contacted a second time by a young woman, (AFTER I already started looking for someone else who could repaint, resurface or stain my cabinets) and was told differently, I explained that Jeremy said they didn't do that type of work however they then sent over a couple of pictures of previous jobs but I found it odd that I was initially and specifically told they only install new cabinets. I wasn't given any options other than new (which is much, much more expensive and more than what I needed as the leak only damaged the cabinets under the sink) I would rather go with a different contractor for my cabinets, one who will actually come out to my home with a book full of examples of their work, and different options for custom features, stains and pricing for each scenario. None of which was offered to me by Clear Coast. I assumed they would still come out and finish the work underneath the counter which is completely separate from the cabinets. I was told Jeremy would call back to schedule. However, Jeremy called me back advised that because I didn't hire them to install the cabinets they would not finish under the sink. I was truly hoping for a different outcome. As I now have to find someone to do this portion. Very very disappointed. read more

Back in March, our second floor shower drain started leaking into our living room. We worked with Clear Coast to correct the leak and convert the shower to a tub. We met with Erik, who helped get the process started by taking measurements and creating estimates. Erik was upfront and very knowledgeable about the process. Our upstairs toilet had a leak, the plumber suggested this company. They came out a found some water damage in the drywall and the base of the vanity. They dried out the area, and demo'd the wall and vanity. They gave the insurance company three different estimates for water mitigation, asbestos testing and finally the remodel. With our bathroom demolished, no toilet, sink, or floor (which by the way they ruined, jack hammering the floor, punching big holes in the framing)...we could not get a hold of them. We called, texted, and emailed five people in the company - Christian (response manager), Shane (project manager), Ashley (front office), the drywaller, the demo guy and even the owner of the company Scott. After 2 1/2 months NO ONE would contact us to get the bathroom remodel started. We finally hired another contractor who completed the bathroom in one week and paid him as well as buying all the bathroom materials. We were certainly surprised to see that Clear Coast sent us a bill for the remodel?!? We asked numerus times for line by line invoice of what we were being billed for, never got it. They then threatened a lien on our property...saying they can collect 10% of the amount negotiated with the insurance company...my question is do they avoid doing the work to collect the 10% of all estimates? They are not responsive, only got a call once from Ashley saying we had a bill to pay. They will lie to you, promise work done that they do not complete, very unethical...they know they did not do the work and hide behind their contract. I think after 3 months of having your bathroom ripped up and unusable with absolutely no response it is understandable that you hire someone else. They did not do the work, then threaten the lien...injustice. Do not use this company! read more

We had a leak from our master bathtub into our kitchen downstairs through a can light. Plumber came out and fixed the issue very easily but recommended we reach out to a restoration company so they could inspect for water damage since we weren't sure if there had been any pooling in the ceiling or anything. He recommended Clear Coast Restoration. It was another week or so before we called them and they said they could come out the following Saturday. It had been a very slow dripping leak so we weren't too worried but they called back a couple days later asking if they could come later in the evening the next day to make sure there wasn't any major damage. Dillan (sp?) drove all the way from Rancho Cucamonga on a Monday night at 6pm to come and check this out! We live in Rancho Santa Margarita and despite the similar name, they are NO WHERE NEAR EACH OTHER! He was so kind and tested for moisture both upstairs and downstairs and even answered some questions I had about a creaky, warped floor. He had an ugly commute to our house and then drove all the way home for NO business! He was so kind and I felt so bad for having him drive all the way out here, only to find everything was totally dry! If we ever have a leak or restoration work that needs to be done, we know who we're calling. If they put this much effort into a possible job, I can only imagine the quality of their customer care when it's a real test of their craftsmanship. They ruined my whole kitchen. The flood water didn't do HALF the damage they did. Look at the holes in the moulding. They staple gunned my brand new moulding! Look at how they left the floor! Yes I had to have Thanksgiving looking like this. Also they put the cabinets back in, and now the kitchen window will not open or close! I am turning them over to the BBB. Absolutely not professional and left me with a totally jacked up kitchen. And are they coming to fix anything? NOPE. I guess I will have to buy my own new moulding and have it installed. Our bathroom tub had a massive leak that caused water damage from the 2nd floor all the way down to the kitchen which is directly below the tub. I called my plumber and they immediately referred me to Clear Coast, which they actually came out the very next day. Unfortunately they had to do demolition in my entire bathroom, half of the kitchen and a portion of my dining room wall because of the water damage but they were extremely professional, thorough and responsive. Our toilet had soft stoppage and quickly got a hold of my best plumbing technician and they arrived within a couple hours. The damage done by back up was so bad that I needed to have it restored asap and called these clear coast restoration and they responded quickly and restored my damaged areas quickly with no problem. They explained all that needed to be cleaned up to avoid molding built up and identified all areas that was contaminated with sewage water. We had a small leak in our kitchen that turned out to be not so small. It required the removal of the whole floor downstairs and part of the kitchen wall. Lead tile was found in testing and insurance required it to be removed. Clear coast got to work right away. Packing, demo and mitigation were all done and Jeremy worked with us to make sure we had the house looking the way we wanted it when this was all over. Just a small addition after Jason's reply: Not once were there issues with my insurance company. I got an initial payout as soon as Traveler's estimator dropped by. The reason construction was pushed out, is because Clear Coast's staff did their measurements incorrectly/incomplete. Literally the worst company to hire for your home restorations! They try to pocket any extra money received from the insurance company. If product that you chose for your home is on sale or for a cheaper price, they will try to pocket that also. Jeremy was the one that worked on my home and he would order product through my insurance claim for other clients he was working with!!!! These people are scammers! He followed up with me on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and was back at my house on Monday morning. If you don't want the product you personally picked out and come out of pocket for the contractor's mistakes than this is a match made in heaven. The reason for this lovely (hence the sarcasm) review is because that is exactly what happened to my family's home. After a renovation that was not complete and has taken well over a year, these people have been not only rude and entitled but also the most unprofessional bottom of the barrel people I have ever worked with.
