Twice the charm on this establishment! I hired Clear Lake Movers for the second time. This time moving from Clear Lake to Conroe. The movers arrived promptly on time and I loved how I was given a call prior to their arrival. They packed and handled everything with care. This time, I was given a 3 man crew. All personnel was professional. They consulted in me first to ensure what needed to go and what needed to stay. They trailed behind me all the way up to the destination not once did they attempt to out drive me. Once we arrived, all of my belongings were placed in various specific areas at my request. They even helped me move all of my plant babies from my vehicle. This is the best company in the area! I'll always use and trust CL Movers. Including the admin assistant is professional too. Clear Lake Movers are the best movers I have ever used! They moved our 13-person business office from one location to another location and they did an A++++ job! David Reyes, owner was lovely to work with when he came to survey what needed to be packed and moved. Then Dino and his wonderful and extremely hard working crew showed up on time and worked their tails off on three different days. All of our furniture, computers, cubicles, etc. was packed and unpacked and delivered in pristine condition. They will literally do any job you ask of them. Their prices are reasonable, their office staff was very professional and explained all pricing perfectly along with being very nice. I cannot say enough good things about this company. 3 guys showed up for the move. After all the little contract bits, this was an expensive move from El Dorado / El Camino in Clear Lake to Constellation Blvd in League City (2nd floor apartment). The move was over $1000. I don't remember ever paying that much for a move before. read more

Job well done once again with Clear Lake Movers. I have used this moving company twice now in a span of about four years. They are awesome! David is the owner and he's wonderful. Very easy to get in contact with and he will address any issues or concerns you may have about your move. The moving Guys were great too. Obviously we are in Rona times now. I was moved out of a High Rise and they are strict about Mask wearing for everyone in the main areas. My movers had Masks and gloves and never had an issue. They moved me quick and focused on being precise and careful. I was tickled by the fact that they even took their time placing my clothes so nicely back into my new closet. :-) My move went smoothly. Sadly, I would've given this company and crew a great rating a few days ago. After a broken sink that I didn't mention on moving day (bc I was going to let it go), and a washing machine that wasn't hooked up correctly flooded 25% of my first floor - the way I have been treated by the owner & his staff has been very disappointing. Disgusting, actually. I have stated I wasn't seeking any action, simply an apology. When I was told I didn't request for appliances to be hooked back up (which I did, and they all *were* hooked up), and that I was lying about the sink since I didn't bring it up in my survey the day of (again, I was reasonably letting it go). I let them know I would be sharing this story of how I feel I was treated (when again, just wanting an apology) on reviews & social media, and the owner told me he'd have his corporate attorney after me and he'd see me in court for slander. Unfortunately, if it's the truth, it's not slander. They are going to reply with everything they're sending me in voicemails and emails, but again - they are not the actual facts. The movers were alright. My complaint came when the lead guy had a problem with his square and wasn't able to charge my card at that time. The next day I phoned the receptionist to clear things up. She too was having issues. She apologized and said she would call me when the issue was resolved. The next day I received a threatening text from the owner claiming that I was avoiding paying for the service. Wow. That was obviously NOT the case but I was not about to argue with anyone via text. I immediately called the office and spoke again with the receptionist whom apologized for not calling me upon resolving the issue on their end as she said that she would. A serious lack of communication exists within this company. I used them twice in the past and this time makes my third. However, I will never use them again!!! They lost a repeat customer. They try and scam you after they move you and threaten you if you dont have cash. Look i am not the only one there are multiple people on here that say the same thing. This guy is the worst of the worst i regret ever letting them move me. the owner insists they dont have any record of my move or its a different company but it isnt. Zero stars Despite the owner (David) and scheduler (Daisy) repeated insistence, there was no notification given of trip charge outside of their 10mi radius. They show up with non English speaking staff and attempt to notify you that your hourly move started when they left the office and won't end until they get back to there office. I reluctantly paid an extra 300$ over the verbal estimate given over the phone. I have used movers from Cleveland Texas and was not charged a trip fee. DO NOT USE this mover if you live more than 10 mi from them as they will charge you a trip fee. The owner and scheduler are unprofessional and they do not ascribe to the adage "the customer is always right." I have moved dozens of times and never experienced such unprofessional front and back office staff. read more

I would really give them 0 stars but I have to give one to post. Had them scheduled for today to help unload a truck. I was told two men would be here by noon. I tried contacting them and no answer at either number. Then message comes on that number is not valid. I didn't get a courtesy call or anything to let us know they weren't coming. 12:42 and haven't shown up. If you couldn't take the job you should have just said that instead of standing a 75 year old lady up. Horrible customer service!!!!. Clear Lake Movers was amazing- I read all the reviews and they do have some bad reviews- however, read through them and read the owners responses! Often times the bad reviews are actually bad customers or people unhappy for reasons the movers are not in control of. -I booked them, they followed up with a phone call to make sure my move was still on and to make sure I was happy with the time. -The morning of I actually asked them to come about 30min later than the initial time because I was running late- and it was not an issue for them at all! -After reading other reviews, I booked them for the morning because it looks like they will finish a job even if it goes over the time they allotted- you can read how people aren't ready to go when they arrive so the move requires more of their time etc. So, I booked in the morning so I wouldn't have that issue. 3 men came, all ready to go! I was surprised they didn't use the ramp on my 26ft. long truck or a dolly! They just got all my stuff out and safely up 2 flights of stairs no problem! I had a scratch on a table which was NOT their fault- they brought me out to look at it (I thought they were going to show me something they accidentally did) it was due to the way I had packed- no problem. They got everything done in under 2 hours! They put all the boxes in the exact rooms I wanted them in (I had written on the boxes and color coded each box with tape). Surprisingly, they quickly put together my bed frame! At the end they made sure I was happy, they called their boss who asked me how they did and I paid over the phone! Fast, easy, affordable. I didn't tip, I have no idea how the tipping works and I didn't have any cash- so to the business owner- if tipping is big/expected in your industry I would find a way to communicate that to your customers? Clear Lake Movers have moved my household twice previously; this time a small amount from apartment to a storage unit just up the street. AWFUL. It took three me over 6 billable hours to move what few things I had remaining, (planning to move out of state and had sold all the heavy pieces, only small pieces, walk-in closet, and kitchen remained.) Horrifying to see the two men whom I had been promised were trained in handling fragile wall art, and valuable china, had no clue on how to wrap, or pack my pieces. I had purchased additional boxes and pads for those I could not handle, having recently had surgery. Never used a one of them. Placing the items in the storage was a nightmare the way they just stacked unwrapped TV on top of valuable small desk. Billing of six hours, $50 an hour, came to over $650. More than when they moved complete three bedroom household into a storage unit. NEVER again will I trust the owners, who 'swore' they were trained packers, and loaders, efficient and timely. None of those. I complained about the slowness, rudeness, damaging of pieces. i.e. throws, lamps, and scratched desk. Never heard back from them. Amount on Visa card same day. No recourse. There are other great professional local movers I will use soon to move into my upcoming residence. I tell anyone I know moving not to use. Never use hourly rate; secure a contract rate if possible and give the workers a nice tip if they are desiring. read more

Be aware this company hires crooks. I made the mistake of hiring them to pack my belongings, only to have them take apart furniture that didn't require it, (a small recliner, when they wrapped up a larger recliner and could have done the same for both), they lost the screws for my grandmother's kitchen table, my sewing desk, and the recliner they didn't need to take apart. They stole my wedding dress for certain, as well as several kitchen items, and personal effects from around my house, and they urinated on one of my area rugs. Personally, I firmly believe they were paid to screw me over by my then husband, because stealing might be par for them, but peeing my rug is 100% my ex's MO, unfortunately. read more

These guys helped me move twice now, both times were very good, the most recent was after Harvey and even though they and a lot of places were busy, they were able to schedule us in very quickly and it helped make a difficult time less stressful. I've used other movers before that have sent unqualified guys out that were less qualified to be lifting milk jugs than my child, these guys know what they are doing and do it quickly. A few things were rubbed up a little, but that's to be expected from the situation, and our time constraints, but over all I'm happy with the move and will be using them again when the time comes to move again. read more

These guys were recommended to us by our apartment office. We were moving apartments whim our bulking to downsize and needed movers just to move our furniture for us. They got back to me quickly with a quote. I called back twice to reschedule their arrival because the time at which were getting our new keys was not set in stone. They were accommodating each time and ended up showing up about ten minutes early on the day of the move. I was a little concerned as the date drew closer because we never received a confirmation email, but they had us listed when I called and they showed up on time the day of the move. They called when they arrived and asked questions to ensure they knew what all to take. The head mover, Jose, explained the pricing to me since we were doing a quick move from own apartment to another in the same building but there was a minimum two-hour pricing. I was impressed with these movers compared to other Houston-based companies we have used because they worked continuously and didn't seem to be wasting time anywhere. Previous companies we have used had movers who would play music loudly on their phones and took extremely long times to load a dolly. With a different company we even caught them taking a break on their phones while we were losing our car. But Clear Lake Movers didn't have those issues. It looked like they worked the entire time, wrapping our furniture in blankets to ensure it wasn't scratched and taking as much as they could as once. This impressed us since this is our second move in Houston. They were able to move all of our furniture, a few small packs of sundries, and put together our bed frame for us in two hours, which impressed us. The only downfall is a two-hour minimum to cover heir costs. We will recommend them to anyone needing to move in the Clear Lake/Webster/NASA area. read more

I called several movers to clear a family member's furniture and belongings out of an Assisted Living facility. The other movers I talked to had a 2-3 day delay, but CLM was able to do this the next day. They showed up on time and were patient with the COVID restrictions at the facility which required they come check in the front office, then go to another location to pick up the furniture. As there was a three man team, they were quick and efficient, wore masks, and waited for me as I did a final walk through with the facility. They also moved a large chair for me from my home upstairs and were careful not to damage the paint in the close turn. They have a 2 hour minimum, but it was perfect for me due to the COVID restrictions. Additionally, I would like to say the office personnel and owner/crew manager coordinate well and are courteous. read more

Update my best friend was 8 months pregnant with twins when she moved from a 3-bedroom house to a 5 bedroom house. I referred her to the neighbors because her husband was out of town and then she had no business moving her on things. When she told them that I had referred her they gave her the same rate as me. Their current rates are still lower or equal to their competitors, but they certainly make sure they take care of there customers. My friend was extremely pleased with the service and the professional nature of the men. They are very organized one person is always in charge and is your go-to person to talk to so you don't feel like you're having to orchestrate all the workers if you have a big crew. These movers are great! I had 2 storage lockers full of artworks. Most were not packed as well as they needed to be with opened-tops on boxes and uncrated canvases. They went on time to the storage facility where they were given keys to the lockers (I couldn't be there). They brought everything to my new location with no damage to anything. Service provider: Clear Lake Moving of League City Texas Problem 1: When asked about rates I was given an hourly rate and a two-hour minimum. Problem 2: I told the owner that there were only 4 items to be moved. There were a clothes washer, a dryer, A large flat screen tv, and a medium sized tv. The distance of the move was less than 1 mile. Important note. The owner went a hissy fit rant saying that he would not warranty or guarantee that the TV would work after the items would work AFTER the move even if they operated properly BEFORE the move. He insisted that the TV must be secure in the factory supplied shipping boxes. He was rather forceful about this point. Who keeps factory shipping boxes weeks or months after the products arrive? Problem 3: I was told that there was a minimum of 2 workers for the job. 3 workers showed up at my residence. All of them were barely 5 feet tall and could speak almost no English. More on this later. Problem 4: When the Latinos/Mexicans arrived they hand me a lengthy contract that had the original quoted price PLUS a 15% surcharge. They also want me to acknowledge that there was no warranty on anything. If something broke they would NOT be held liable. Problem 5: The only illegal alien that spoke any English only wanted CASH as payment. They may not have been able to properly able to converse in ENGLISH but did know how to pronounce the word "CASH" repeatedly. Problem 6: I would suggest that anyone doing business in the U.S. be able to speak English and be in the country legally. Once I questioned their immigration status they scurried off to the truck without doing any work or even moving anything. The real problem lies with the owner of the company and his extremely poor customer service. I saw lots of "red flags" and thus would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

On June 29, 2018, Clear Lake Movers came to move my household items into storage. They arrived in the evening when they were scheduled. Jose and his crew were courteous and helpful. The problem came when they moved my mattress and box spring in the master bedroom. I had a white velvet bag with my valuable jewelry (valued at $60,000), under my mattress. I heard one of the guys saying jackpot. It wasn't Jose. The jewelry has sentimental value to me because it was my late mother's. I'm handicapped and couldn't get in there to check what was going on. The next day, one of the guys did not come to finish the job. My fiancé knew I placed the jewelry there when we went on a recent trip. He wasn't there to check out what I heard. We are totally unpacked and the jewelry is gone. I'm Sorry, but I cannot recommend Clear Lake Movers because they have a thief working for them. I have moved all over the United Stares. Never once had I had a mover steal something from me. If I had known my fiancé didn't remove the jewelry when we returned from our trip, I would have called them out on it and call League City Police department. read more
