They give you books to read, offer you drinks, and you feel VIP. A week later, a follow up zoom video call with Dr. John and associate and a finance person...any follow up call that needs a financial payment person is a huge red flag. LOL. I didn't have 30k for everything I needed done. I asked for a modified-what-is-absolutely-necessary procedure I need...give me an amount and they said they would get back to me. Of course, no one did. I emailed Connie a few times to follow up. They must not care to do minor work. When you're going through a cancer diagnosis, you want to heal. I was scared leaving this office and more scared after that zoom call. I pursued another bio dentist in Colorado Springs and asked Biodentist for my xrays and file. Called a couple of times to get it, no return phone call. It was $900 I spent so I didn't want to get more xrays at another dentist. I had a cavity filled and front tooth bonded at Dr. Tatarin's practice, but I have since had…read moreproblems with both. The front tooth was not bonded correctly the first time, so I had to go back to get it fixed. Even then, it still looked and felt a bit 'off' and within six months, the front of the tooth started to become rough again and now, less than a year later, two new little chips have already formed in it, so I need to get it bonded once again. Dr. Tatarin told me that bonding front teeth is difficult, but I have had this tooth bonded about every 5 years for the past 35 years or so, and no dentist has ever had a problem bonding it. And the bonding usually lasts about five years. What's more, Dr. Tatarin left a molar that needed a filling rough on the outside. None of my other teeth or fillings are rough. What's more, food constantly gets trapped in that tooth, and I had gone in specifically to get that problem taken care of. It's frustrating. I now have to find a new dentist and pay out-of-pocket to get the work done all over again. I'm thankful that Dr Tatarin tried to fix my front tooth, but it just wasn't done right. Maybe he just needs a bit more experience, but in the meantime, I just wanted to share mine.

From the first call with Allison Gaynor, her incredibly kind front office employee, I felt very comfortable going to this dentist. It should be known immediately that the buck stops there. There is a very good reason Dr. Greear-Schmidt has Ali (aka Allison Gaynor) running her office. Ali is incredibly kind, genuine and honest people. Frankly, it hurts my heart to have to write this about her employer. In hindsight, I can see where I went wrong trusting this dentist. The staff there made me feel very comfortable, but I believe wholeheartedly Dr. Jamie is a sheep in wolf's clothing. She has a staff that is there running her office and her practice while she robs people of their money with her shotty work that she calls "holistic dentistry". I even referred quite a few people to her right away after my first appointment because I really liked it there and thought if such great people work for her, maybe my gut was wrong about the actual dentist herself. After my initial appointment, which was simply some x-rays and a game plan for what totaled out to be upwards of $20,000 without her even taking the time to exam me, I should have known better. This dentist simply relies on x-rays for the expensive repair work and does not do much examining herself. I think she leaves the real work to her staff. I have several cavities that need attention and I knew this going in but those were of no interest to her because they do not provide her the big-ticket sale she's aiming for before you figure out who she really is. Immediately after sending several people her info, I had a few friends of my own reach back out to me that they did some digging and found some information about her that I may want to look into myself and unfortunately, I had already paid her $650 for a mouth guard to sleep and two crowns priced at $1600 each . She doesn't accept insurance so I paid for these items out of pocket and made the mistake of paying paper cash so I can't even have my credit card company go to bat for me. Don't make the same mistake I did. Wait to pay until the work is complete. You will thank me if you waited to read this until after you are her patient and give her money you will never get back after she ruins your dental experience too. It's bad enough you're having someone work on your mouth and that's a fear for most people but then to find out you had a snake in there, you'll have some PTSD too. Thanks for that Dr. Jamie. I had one of my two crowns (#31 and #20) she put in for me come off within about 3 weeks and of course their nice comfy work schedule/office hours made it so I had to seek out other dental treatment options. After looking at the x-ray Dr. Jamie did of my crown that came off (#31) you can see very clearly, there is a gap between the crown and the tooth. This is clearly why it came off. In my opinion, of course. After seeing another dentist and them x-raying #31 with the crown resting in place the dentist declined to reset it for me because then she is responsible for that tooth and that is not up to her standards. #20 however looks good and if that were to come off, she'll gladly reset that one. Crown #31 should never have been set in the manner it was. It needed quite a bit of work to set it properly, but she already got paid so she just popped it in and sent me on my way. When I questioned why we would make a mouthguard for me when we had such a long journey ahead of work that would alter the anatomy of my mouth, she assured me she could adjust the guard to fit as we made changes. Somehow, I just know NOW she would have tried to sell me another one once that broke because of all the weak points that would have been created over time by altering it so much. The $650 mouth guard she sold me I'm sure covered her car payment for a month or so. I hope she feels good about that. Ugh, the greed. It's gross. Almost as gross as the nasty response I received from her when I respectfully requested a refund for my crown that was done so poorly. Check out my photos to read both my email and her response. She had two ways to go about this: (a.) do the right thing: apologize for the trouble I'm having, refund me for the crown and own that she could have done better. Or (b.) blame me for the crown coming off, be defensive and literally get mad at me for seeking treatment elsewhere when her office was closed the day my crown came off. I felt it was absolutely necessary to share my experience with others as to avoid the same loss as I did and avoid the trauma of working with someone so unprofessional and poor at their job. There is a reason she costs so much, it's not because she's holistic, it's because she only has patients long enough to rake over the coals.

Dr. Killingsworth and each hygienist whom I've seen in the 10 or so years I've been a patient at Killingsworth Family Dentistry meets my rather exacting standards. I'm greeted warmly by name as soon as I walk through the door, and I never have time to open my Kindle to read before I'm welcomed by the hygienist and invited back to a pleasant and comfortable room for my cleaning and exam. The cleanings are always thorough and are done with care for my comfort. I'm given compliments on my oral hygiene and tips for how to continue to care for my teeth and gums as I get older. Dr. Killingsworth always comes in with a cheerful greeting to give my mouth a thorough exam, and she takes time to ask about what's going on in my life and with my family. Each visit ends with a pleasant encounter with Patti, the office administrator, to set an appointment for my next visit and to subtly handle any fees that my dental insurance doesn't cover. I had a dental emergency a few years ago, when I lost a crown, which resulted in an exposed nerve, which was very uncomfortable. It happened to occur on a national holiday, but Dr. Killingsworth didn't hesitate to open her office and to take care of my emergency and ensure my comfort with a temporary crown and a measurement with state-of-the-art equipment to order a permanent crown that fit perfectly on the first try, with no adjustment needed. I was so impressed and so grateful with how Dr. Killingsworth put my need and comfort ahead of whatever she'd had planned with her family on that holiday. My dad, a children's dentist, was frequently called out, at all hours of the day and night, when a child had a dental injury or other emergency that needed immediate care. In the days before cell phones or even beepers, I remember him leaving his call service phone number with people at movie theaters or at restaurants, just in case someone needed to get in touch with him. He always put a child's need for his care above his own convenience; Dr. Killingsworth provided the same care for my well-being, and I'm still so grateful. I couldn't recommend Dr.Killingsworth and her team any more highly. I actually look forward to my appointments every six months.

I will miss his care. So this practice is not called Chatterley and now and is called Mountain West. It has been for about 4 plus months.
