She is super thorough during the consultation going over many different things that could be causing the acne; she helped me figure out mine happens to be hormonal related. She even provided me with a website where you can put the ingredients list in from the products you use and it will show you if there are any pore cloggers in your products, it's amazing! Clear Skin Solutions is a hidden gem off of Lake in Pasadena. Jenny, the owner, was the one who gave me my facial. Her energy, personality, and professionalism shined through right off the bat. I felt comfortable and excited for the process. Jenny really exceeded my expectations. She had relaxing music playing, offered me a blanket, and explained what she was doing and applying during the process. I had such a great experience with Jenny! She was so knowledgeable and took her time explaining the diet/lifestyle piece that can affect skin. I had booked the acne facial as I have some hormonal trouble spots but surprisingly was told my skin is rather clear and recommended the Relaxing Facial instead. Prior to seeing Jenny, my relationship with my skin was a roller coaster. There would be months it would be happy with me, then the same amount of months when it was rather upset it with me. I'm always kind of iffy when getting any kind of treatment just because I have trust issues and don't like it when a place tries to upsell. She's sweet, friendly, and funny. We chit chat during my appointment except during the extractions and when I fall asleep. I'll be honest, the extractions hurt like hell for me and my body tenses up to fight her (sorry Jenny!), but I know it's for the best! Prior to seeing Jenny, I was using a lot of Drunk Elephant products. For the most part, I thought their products were pretty good even though it could be a little harsh. During my first visit with Jenny, I picked up a cleanser, toner, serum, and acne med. It just seemed like too simple of a routine so I was hesitant to quit using my DE products given all the money I've spent on it, but I had nothing to lose and a lot to gain at this point so I went on the regime Jenny put me on. And now, two months later, my skin is in a pretty good place! She uses Face Reality Skincare products and is not pushy on having you use all of their stuff. I'm picky with my sunscreen so she told me to check the ingredients in my current sunscreen to the list she provided to make sure it was good to go. The Face Reality products are very reasonably priced and not harsh on my skin. My skin didn't feel tight or overly dry after changing my products. So now, I plan on using Face Reality going forward!
