Got a Groupon to try out this place and I really liked it! The face and shoulder massage was lovely, and Fiona herself was friendly and attentive. I think the massage could use slightly more pressure, and I would have preferred it AFTER the extractions, but it wasn't a big thing. Her English isn't the best, but I didn't have a problem with communication. Plenty of street parking especially on the side street El Monte. The spa itself was clean and welcoming. All in all I would come back! Tip: for people visiting with a Groupon, I think it's nice to get that refunded, then have the merchant match that price. I recently purchased a Groupon with my mother and decided to get an acne facial package of 10 sessions. I've struggled with hormonal cystic acne for so long. I've had facials in the past but none so thorough and done with CARE. Fiona is an angel who takes her time and works carefully to provide amazing results. I've only had 4 sessions and have seen an ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE. My skin is clearer than I've ever seen it. Just had a hydrating facial with Fiona, and I can honestly say this was one of the BEST facials I have ever had in my life (and I've had a lot of facials over my lifetime!) Fiona was gentle and thorough. She managed to extract my many blackheads that accumulated during the pandemic. She also was able to diminish some of the skin tags I had on my cheeks. Speaking of the pandemic, Fiona carefully abided by all Covid safety protocols, constantly washing her hands and wearing her face mask the entire time. She also let me know she was completely vaccinated; however, I just took her word for it and didn't request proof of vaccination. Not exactly sure why this place has such high ratings on Yelp and Groupon... Purchased the diamond microdermabrasion facial from Groupon and promptly made an appointment. Came in with 4 pimples and came out with 3. There were barely any extractions and I swear, I spent more time laying on that table with nothing on my face than her working on my face. Extractions and the microdermabrasion must have taken 15mins or less out of the whole hour I was there. She also pinched parts of my face and concentrated on my nose...which had NO pimples. What about my temple and lips??? I can't believe this normally costs $80. I called in to make my appointment and they were super friendly at first but after they hear you got a groupon, the friendliness drops a bit. Anyway, i went to my appointment and the lady i was scheduled with, Amy, was very professional. She got me to the room to get ready and throughout the treatment she explained everything that she was going to do. I just wanted a good hydrating cleaning and she got the job done. When i came out of the room, she offered me water and offered me a packaged deal. It was a great deal, $400 for 10 sessions, never expire so i got it since i liked her treatment. Yes, i think they should treat every client the same way whether they were a groupon deal or not but who knows, maybe the groupon people also didnt tip them based on their regular price so im sure theres two sides to the story. At one point of the facial, she decided to let me know that my acne was "so bad." Although she seemed very sweet, I regret visiting this establishment. I've had facials before but I did not enjoy this one. A couple problems with my visit: 1. This was not a relaxing experience and got disturbed quite a few times. She got up to answer calls and left the door open. 2. I asked if I take my shirt off (I'm used to getting a massage apart of my facial) she said no which I thought was fine but left me with wet clothing on that I didn't like. 3. No communication. She did not ask which facial I wanted, what products or medicine I was using or anything she should know before going into it (I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and I'm on Tretinoin). I purchased this Groupon to save a couple dollars on my facial, hoping I would go into this with a new regular spot, but was let down. read more

Excited to try this place. Got a Groupon, had the hydrating facial. Crystal was lovely, very professional. VERY busy with back-to-back appts, but I didn't feel that she was rushing, which was great. You take your top off, so she can give you a massage on your shoulders, upper arms and face. You get a one-size fits all wrap to wear. She uses steam and is considerate enough to proactively ask you if it's too much. I liked that. She uses a cream that contains collagen, and her fingers flit over your face, with enough firmness so it's not tickllsh, again that's great. She also uses her wrists in the facial massage, which is a weird sensation, but hey, why not?! The facial massage was methodical and felt thorough. The cleanses also thorough and applied lightly, lightly padded off. The extraction., of course, painful, but expertly and swiftly done. She was sympathetic and she also let you know when the each extraction was over, since I liked knowing exactly when pain would stop. She also used an electric tool to tap lightly over the extractions to close it and also any open pores. I didn't smell any use of toner, but that's drying so this was fine. The mask is the hydrating portion; it goes on cold over a gauze, she cuts little nostril holes so you can breathe better. Overall, the facial was great. The room is shared with one other, but in my case no one was there. The music was classical and soothing. There's parking at the rear of the building. CONS: Management called me to reschedule twice. When I arrived on time, the person who seemed to be in charge took my Groupon and was in a mood; I did NOT feel welcomed at first and was bracing myself for a less-than-stellar experience. Or maybe it was a Groupon, sometimes I find these massage places aren't happy with Groupon because people forget to tip based on the regular price. And apparently they lose money on the discount. However the esthetician Crystal was great, apologetic for the 10-minute wait past my appointment. But for sure, I was not greeted like I was a valued first-time customer...which I was. No one offered me tea or water while I waited. But after the facial, once I left the room to give my tip at the desk, Crystal she did have water waiting for me. Which was nice of her. BIG NEGATIVE: (Which isn't on the establishment BUT my bliss was definitely ruined when I discovered a LARGE van had backed into the compact space next to mine. I COULD NOT open the door to my Miata. At first I thought I'd go back inside and ask if whoever owned this monster vehicle to move please; they were parked in a compact space. BUT I decided to climb into the drivers' seat from the passenger side. Once I pulled out of the space, I stopped to inspect my drivers' side door, because how in the world did they get out themselves???!!! But since it was a van, they must have exited thru the passengers' side. Grrrr. PROS: Professionally-executed facial. Crystal was lovely. OVERALL: Will consider going back. But the rescheduling on their end, the lack of a friendly greeting, or not making Groupon customers feel as valued as full-price customers....and perhaps more staff at the ready, although perhaps it was a day when someone was sick or called out...anyway, it was a mixed experience. It's been almost 2 years since I'd had a facial. I'd never been here but Groupon inspired me to treat myself. I got the diamond tip microdermabrasion facial. It is worth every penny. It's been 5 weeks since I had my facial and my skin texture has improved as well as clarity, as.much as I'd guess, 60%. It was relaxing and calm environment. Very thorough cleansing and steaming process took place, as well as extra thorough extraction process. I left glowing and my skin looks so much better. I'm going back next month to continue with healthy and glowing skin. The woman who treated me was courteous and explained most steps. Before even asking what facials we wanted, they recommended that I do the acne facial and my friend does the hydrating. Perfect, that's exactly what we wanted. We were put in the same room and started at the same time. We realized at the end of our facial is that we ended up getting the same facial....so which was it?? This place has a great deal for facials on groupon! I got my acne facial treatment for only $35! I've been here twice and both times I had great results. I have tried other locations before and never have I walked out of facial so relaxed like I do here. It is Chinese owned so don't expect peace and quiet your whole stay.. There was a child running around outside the waiting room looking for her father while I was getting my facial done. She even opened the door to my room to see if her dad was inside. I never caught her name, but the lady who was doing my facial didn't even care to close the door afterwards. She also had her phone charging in the same room so I heard every call and text she was receiving. After the extractions were done and I was relaxing with the final cold mask on my face she decided to make phone calls in the room.. I would have at least expected her to walk out of the room and give me a little time for relaxation.. But oh wells. I loved her massage before the facial. I am not happy leaving a less than pleasant review but I had a less than stellar experience here. Upon the start of my facial I informed my facialist that I had my eyelashes done a week before for a wedding 3 days away so please stay away from the eye area because I was concerned about their integrity through the process. She agreed and proceeded to go on with the usual facial routine which included cleaning, massage, steam, extraction and then a gooey mask. The mask was put too close to my eyes hence it slid down my eyebrow and right onto my eye and into my new eyelashes. The texture glued them all together and my facialist then had to spend at least half and hour removing the goo from my lashes with all kinds of tools. When I looked at myself in the mirror, there was a huge gap of missing lashes. After I expressed to her my dissatisfaction, she got permission from someone to put some new lashes on her own in the gap. Her lashes were shorter and stick out in different directions instead of straight up. I also have a huge zit on my forehead for some reason and I have not had acne since high school. Last note, please don't leave the face steamer on for 20 minutes blowing straight over my face. I know that it is a good way to appear that something is being done but I was sweating and really hate anything excessive. Maybe Linda is an expert but I was not assigned to her hence a totally different experience. read more

Found this spot thru Groupon and loved it so much that I bought a membership for both my son and I. The facials I have gotten from Linda have helped me out so much that my face feels better than ever. Even my teenage son enjoys coming here because he sees the huge improvement on his face. His acne has cleared up so much. We come in at least once a month. Linda is amazing!!! Make sure and call ahead of time because she gets booked up so quickly.
