I've been coming to Clear View since they were located at Victoria Gardens. I have never had any issues getting in for an appointment or picking up any glasses or contacts. I now bring my 2 daughters here and the doctors do an amazing job with them. Dr. Daniel Krall is super patient with my daughters and is so good with them in helping them to not be scared. I love the doctors and the staff. I have thought about going to other places, but I did not find the same dedication to patient satisfaction, so I always go back to see Emily and Stacey. I always have great experiences at Clear View Optometry, but this time was even better. Emily was so amazing! She helped me find my frames in record time. It's hard for me to make decisions like this alone, and she knows me so well that it was easy for her to pick out a number of frames so we could go through them together. She is honest and kind, so her evaluation of the frames made it so much easier for me to make a good decision. We were totally in sync. My husband and I will continue to go to Clear View Optometry. Been coming here for years because it's my neighborhood optometrist and I like to support the community. But, I have been always disappointed in their customer service. The Dr's are very professional, but the general staff is usually unfriendly and not knowledgeable. They always make excuses and blame the lab for any issues that may come up. They never take responsibility or apologize for any mistakes made. They just don't seem to care. They are very bad at communicating or giving updates on the process. The least they could do is offer people a discount for the inconvenience and frustration one experiences at their establishment to make people feel they care. But, that doesn't happen. I asked for a discount and got nowhere. They make excuses that their lead time for the glasses or lenses is within their bogus timeline. I will definitely let people know this business doesn't deserve the support from the community anymore. Do your research and find a much more caring and professional place to do business with. While the doctors are absolutely amazing, the competence and professionalism of the office staff have declined. Before this review, I gave this place a 5 star rating and would recommend them to anyone- not anymore. My family and I have been going to clear view since they were at Victoria gardens. But, too many times in the recent year have we had issues with the staff. We asked for a second trial pair of lenses for my daughter because her glasses had bifocals and she had never used them before. The eye doctor told us if they don't work out to return the glasses and change them for distance. So we came back in today and asked for another pair of trial lenses since the ones they gave her needed to be changed. We asked because her current lenses/frames had to be sent back into the lab and it would take a week. They told us no and treated us like we were trying to get something for nothing. The manager named Stacey Ryans was so incredibly rude and would not take into consideration that our daughter a 16 yr old minor had no glasses or contacts to see with. They told us we had to buy a year worth of contacts in order to get another free trial pair. We just spent $1,500 the week before for our 5 family members to come here. My daughter told Stacey herself that she had no back up glasses to wear and her prescription changes significantly from year to year. It was shocking to realize that all they cared about was the almighty dollar and not their patient/client who happens to be a minor and is borderline blind without glasses or contacts. We had never in the 8 yrs we've been coming here with our 5 family members made a request like this and they shot us down like we and our loyal business didn't matter. The rudeness and shouting between myself, Stacey, and daughter escalated out of hand due to my daughter feeling so upset over Stacey's rude, indifferent treatment of us and showing no concern or desire to help us in any way. This place only focuses on money and greed instead of genuine concern for optical patients. Stacey even threatened to have us removed from the store. We left and my daughter cried in shock and disbelief asking me why she had treated us that way instead of being willing to help. The staff here can be so rude based on several other reviews that also mention the manager Stacey so we r not the only victims. There is another lady I believe also a manager wears glasses and her hair back who is not helpful at all. She started off helping us and went to get Stacey who proceeded to berate and shout at my daughter and I over the second pair of trial contact lenses to get her by while her frames/lenses came back. We like the doctors a lot they provide great service. It's the office staff that can be an issue. Many times they won't even offer to help u pick out a pair of glasses they sit and watch u. I asked to speak to the doctor about the issue and she said I would have to pay a fee to see him. I asked to speak to the owners of the establishment and she again said no. The customer service and genuine care for patients has gone downhill at this place. It's overpriced as well and it's just not worth coming here to be treated in such a rude way. I thought they cared about their patients here but they CLEARLY don't. Thank u Stacey for treating us like dirt today and making us feel so awful and making my daughter cry and throwing our loyal patronage of 8 yrs into the trash like it never mattered. read more

Dr Zhu is very friendly and knowledgeable. I took my 5yo in for an annual exam and she was wonderful with him. She told him that a fairy will come give him a kiss on his eye (you know the machine that gives you that puff of air that many people hate) and he wasn't scared at all when it came time for the second puff of air. That machine gives me anxiety all the time. After my son's exam, it was my turn. I always blink like crazy, but Dr Zhu was quick. I've been going to clearview and will continue to go back. read more

The doctor is great, he was funny, energetic, professional, and made sure to examine my eyes thoroughly to make sure I get the correct perception. The staff was friendly as well. The office is big, clean, modern, and easy to find. I did notice when trying on glasses I needed to wipe half of them down because of others trying them on. The prices on the frames for glasses is a little high but the lenses are about the same across the board. read more

My family of 6 have been going to this place for many years, since they were located at the Victoria Gardens location. I'm so tired of putting up with their rudeness and nonsense! This will be our last time going there. 1. The manager Stacey seems to be in a bad mood in every visit we've been to. Never smiles, and even on the phone you're interrupted by her rudeness as you're trying to explain anything at all. 2. They never return their calls at the time they say they'll call back when you need their help, since they already took your money you don't matter to them anymore but they're always on time to remind you that you're next visit is up yearly! 3. There's always issues with my orders and they always come back to you with a lame excuse for everything. Their policies and regulations and behaviors are all over the place and wack! 4. MOST IMPORTANTLY, age shouldn't be used to tell your patients they have no other choices to make and you're going blind because you're old now. I'm only 40 I was told by the Female Dr. that my choices are now more limited because I'm getting old! Really? Is 40 that old? I could be 10 and have vision problems! Plus they always ask me if I have diabetes because my vision changes drastically every year! I don't have diabetes and I'm not that old! Why don't you run better tests or take more time to check your patients instead of insulting them and hitting them up with your wack assumptions! Anyway, ONCE AGAIN! I'm stuck with a pile of contact lenses (4 BOXES) of the same color because they won't allow me to get different colors since they gave me the wrong prescription and I had already opened the boxes before the correction of their mistake. I payed a lot of money for these plus eye glasses. I should be happy with what I payed for, if there was a change in my prescription for any mistake you made the least you could do for all that money I spend in every trip we make is make a customer happy. I should be allowed to choose my own colors with the CORRECT prescription! read more

I've been coming here for a few years now. Nice location, Anyhow. The optometrist are nice and helpful however the staff (ladies) are not were much so. They don't help you on choosing the right frame, they don't help you with questions. They just see you walking around trying to find the right pair. Now I'm a bit upset with that. Bad experience today. I went in to replace the lenses on my frames and the girl told me it would take about two hours and they would call when they were ready. So I went to the grocery store to kill time and then waited in the car the last 30 minutes . I went inside a few minutes early and asked " any chance they are done yet?" And the girl that works there said " oh no we are really busy and it's gonna be another 3 to 4 hours we haven't even touched them." No phone call to let me know it was going to take longer no apology. So I walked out went back to my car and the more I thought about it the more it pissed me off. How unprofessional not to call and let your customer know what's going on. There's too many optometrist out there to waste time on this one. ALWAYS under promise and over deliver .Thanks for wasting two hours of my one day off. read more

I'm an VERY UPSET with Clearview Optometry. I've been a patient for over 10 years, my family and I, but that will no longer be the case after today. I broke my frames today and temporarily glued them back together to run an errand. Since I was across the way from Clerview, I decided to stop in to see what the cost would be to replace the frame and see how long would it take to receive them. When I arrived, there was a sign saying to call the office so that someone could open the door. So I began to call the number and someone walked over to the door to open it. So I said, "oh I was just calling the number" and she replied, "yeah, you can keep calling, I'm opening the door for him behind you". I didn't even realize that someone was behind me so I said oh ok, well I just have a quick question about my frame which I just broke and replacing them. She looked at me and said, "like I said call the number and someone will answer your call and she shut the door in my face and locked it. As she was doing so, me being shocked I said oh that's ok, I won't be doing so. But I did call to find out her name so that I could file a complaint because she was very rude and I found out that she was the office manager, Stacy! Well Stacy needs to learn some customer service skills! I left a message for the owner Dr. Zhu to call me back but they don't have to worry about me, I will NEVER EVER conduct business with them ever again as there is absolutely NO reason to EVER treat a customer like that PERIOD! read more

I recently visited Clear View Optometry after being referred here by a close friend. Right away, I noticed that the customer service here is better than any service I have previously received at LensCrafters. The staff here really know how to guide you towards selecting a frame that you are comfortable in and are very detailed when it comes to explaining all of your lens options. Dr. Zubi performed my examination and welcomed any questions I had in regards to my diagnosis. Everyone at the office was very nice and helpful. Dr. Ho was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with making sure I had the right prescription for my glasses. I made the appointment two hours before the scheduled time and was in and out of there very quickly. Side note: I went to a different eye doctor a few months ago and had been getting many headaches. Decided to go somewhere else and found out the doctor gave me the wrong prescription (too strong). Thankfully, Dr. Ho did a great job to find me the right prescription. read more

My husband and I stopped by clear view on our ONE DAY OFF and when we got to the door we called as asked by the business and asked to be seen. We both needed to buy frames, all we needed was 5 MAYBE 10 minutes and we were going to pay cash for our glasses. The girl on the phone Clara refused to let us both be seen. She said one of us could be seen and the next person could be seen tomorrow. We explained to her that we don't get days off usually as we are both essential workers and she wouldn't budge at all. Wouldn't even try to work with us. She said that her floor was "full"... as we saw ONE patient in there.... LOL okay..... anyways clear view obviously does not need the business in hard times like these... they would've made an easy $500-$600 off of us today but instead they decided that our business was not worth it to them. Stay far away from clear view as they do not respect people's time or schedules especially during times like these. Oh well! read more

We have been coming to ClearView for several years, since they were in their old location at Victoria Gardens. They have a great selection on glasses and sunglasses and the male doctor there is very thorough and nice. Last year, I bought my husband some Maui Jim sunglasses as a gift, which were a bit of a splurge for us. When he got them, he told the doctor that he couldn't see out of them that well. The doctor, who is no longer with them, said that polarized lenses just take some getting used to and to just continue to use them. The next time we came in to get glasses for me, we told the girl at the counter of the issues he was having and she said that his prescription was not that far off what he had before and that the glasses were right. My husband recently had his annual exam with the male doctor who told him that the old prescription was WAY off and that the doctor that saw him prior was no longer there, which we deduced that she was gone because of these sort of mistakes or it really wouldn't have been worth mentioning. Because of this conversation, we felt like a mistake had been made that should be corrected. The office manager just called me back to let me know that, since it had been over a year, there would be no concession made for their mistake. She said that none of our complaints were documented, that they all just sounded like "casual conversations". I told her that we brought up the issues he had with the glasses with their staff on several separate occasions and felt that it was not our fault that the complaints were not documented. The only reason we decided to ask for the lenses to be replaced was the conversation my husband had with the doctor this year during his annual eye exam. I might add that those glasses were not the only ones that were purchased with the incorrect prescription, but we were only asking for these (quite expensive) lenses to be replaced. The office manager chose to hold her ground instead of making it right when the fix to make a long term and loyal customer happy would probably be pretty insignificant to their bottom line. My family purchases at least 4 new pairs of glasses a year plus contacts, but I guess we will be taking our business elsewhere. It's really unfortunate... read more

I have been a customer of clear view for the past 5 years and have had a positive experience the entire time. They have an excellent selection of glasses and have fitted me for contacts which Have always been comfortable. The doctors are always friendly and the office staff has good communication regarding contact orders and informing me of future appointments. My mom is also a customer of clear view and has the same experience . I liked the old location at Victoria gardens shopping center better than the new one however I will keep returning to clear view for the excellent service. Issues: 1. I was presented with a price for a new pair of glasses. I paid my balance and left the store. Ten minutes later I was surprised with a phone call telling me that a mistake was made and I needed to pay more money if I wanted to have my order for new glasses placed. Oh yeah, the manager was extremely rude. I made my decision based on style, fit and budget, this was a huge thing. I paid the extra money and had my glasses three weeks after they were supposed to be ready. 2. My glasses have been adjusted five times at this store, they just can't seem to get it write. My glasses continued to off straight off my face when I look down. Costco finally adjusted my glasses so that they dont fall off my face. My issue with this store is the unhappy reaction I got from the employees when I ask for an adjustment. 3. A new pair of glasses arrived with some weird letters marked into my lenses. These letters blocked my sight and were extremely annoying, but somehow the employee was trying to convince me that it was normal. Who does that? They are going to get me other lenses without the markings, but now its a waiting game. I recommend not buying glasses from this place. Who doesn't check if new glasses have letters scribed on them, then proceeds to normalize the situation to make the issue go away? read more

This optometrist has been seeing my son for over 4 years now. When my son was little we noticed his eye was drifting. So I took him into the optometrist and they eased our concerns. Turns out he just needed glasses as he was straining to see better. They are very knowledgeable and patient. They have helped us with several pairs of broken glasses and we never have to worry about if they can fix it. If they cant fix it they will help us with the warranty process. I along with my family of 4 have been going to his place as long as I have been a resident of Rancho Cucamonga (12 years), I was not impressed with the female doctor (she might mean well but let me put it this way, she is not gentle) but I totally love Dr Zubi. He listens to his patient's concerns, very caring and compassionate. He is a great asset to this place. I hope he stays here forever because I will surely go to wherever he goes. As for the front office, it is a hit or miss. It depends on their mood for that day. I agree that Stacey's mood sets the tone of the office. But I look beyond that because of Dr Zubi. read more

THE COMMENT BY THE OWNER OF THIS BUSINESS CONTRADICTS HER OWN STAFF. The Office Manager said the policy was the store policy. Now the owner blames the insurance company. Meanwhile it was their inexperienced staff that caused the problem and my wife STILL CAN'T SEE. DO NOT USE THIS OPTIMITRIST. The Office Manager is the nastiest, most unfriendly person in business. She has no place in customer service. There are many doctors you can choose. She refused to let us speak with the owner or the doctor and she would not resolve our problem unless we paid $425. An inexperienced staff person sold my wife a pair of frames that did not fit her face. My wife was not feeling well having just come out of the hospital. When we went to pick up the glasses they looked horrible. The staff person helping us said that the glasses were too small and they looked bad. She helped my wife pick out a new frame and said there MAY BE a $35 restocking fee. Well, Stacey called a week later and said the insurance company would not allow us to remake the lenses for the new frame. Bottom line is I have to file a complaint with the insurance company and the glasses are sitting at Clearview and my wife cannot see. And to show how UNETHICAL Clearview Optometry is, they already got paid for the glasses by the insurance company AND MY WIFE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE GLASSES! Pathetic! read more

My wife and I gave Clearview a try and we definitely won't be back. I'm stuck with cheap uncomfortable contacts I cannot wear. The monthly prescription I was given is a cheap lens according to my ophthalmologist but they really seem to push certain brands over others. Now I'm stuck with trash until I pay for another exam. Not to mention glasses are way over priced. Clearview won't see another dime from my family. Not recommended read more
