I asked the woman who helping me purchase contacts if they had replacement nose pads, she said yes & said that she can put the new nose pad in. She took my sunglasses into the other room & while replacing the nose pad, slipped with the tool she was using, broke off part of the prong that holds the nose pad in & bent the wire part that connects the sunglasses to the nose pad holder. Since then, I've been back 2 times to have the wire part adjusted & told nothing can be done for the broken prong. Since the nose pad isn't held in securely, I asked if the sunglasses can be replaced. I was told no because they were not purchased there & the brand isn't in network. I said they weren't broken before that incident & she told me that they shouldn't have worked on them since they weren't purchased there. I get that but it's not my fault that the woman offered to change it out & broke them. Of course these are my prescription sunglasses, too. The doctors here are good but I am very unhappy with how this situation was handled. I don't think it's fair to punish the customer for the employee's mistake.

When the doctor saw me, he was highly energetic and quick with the exam. He also said that there was nothing wrong with my eyes (I have a vitreous detachment), that I do not have astigmatism and said that my previous prescription for contacts was too high. He gave me an -8.50 for both eyes. My left eye is normally a -9.50 and I believe my right is a -9.25. When I put in these contacts at home, I was severely disoriented and my eyes had trouble focusing. I also was getting a major headache, so I took them out. Today, I tried wearing contacts again using my old prescription in my left eye and his prescription in my right. No major issues, but he was convinced my eyes do not have astigmatism and should be at a lower power. Not sure what to say except that he made it seem like every eye doctor from my past was stupid and he was not. He did say "do you want to get a second opinion?" but if you know anything about insurance, you don't get that second opinion without paying for it out of pocket. I'm glad I didn't purchase contacts from him.

I repeatedly contacted them within the first month and told them my glasses were not working out. The Dr. for some reason changed my prescription then had to re do it again. Four of the calls went into voicemail and 3 I talked with different woman who were working at the time. They all assured me that they were going to take my message to the Dr. and she would return my call. This NEVER happened. My sunglasses that I paid a very high amount for, broke. I called again to tell them that the glasses were only 6 months old and the arm broke off. Nobody got back with me. I am livid about the service. These glasses should have been under a warranty. I am now in Colorado and went to another eye dr., and they expressed how this office should have replaced these glasses. I called again and left another message with no response. I also called to have my prescription faxed to my new eye doctor and no one returned my call. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! I paid out of pocket over $1,000.00 for my glasses. I tried contacting through the website and all remarks are blocked. Hmmmm???? I wonder why??? Doesn't take much to figure that one out. The glasses were not suitable for me as they caused me to trip and stumble due to the poor design. Should I now get an attorney? I feel I deserve my money back. Office billing policy has changed, so that instead of billing an eye exam to vision insurance when…read morea medical diagnosis exists (such as an eye freckle), the office visit is now billed through medical insurance. This results, for my child and for me, in underutilization of our vision coverage (through which a vision exam is provided each year with $0 co-pay), and a $40 per person co-pay. So, our fees increased $80 this year for no good reason. Arbitrary changes that result in increased charges to customers (and no additional revenue for the provider) are bad business practice. Very displeased.

There is a large collection of glasses available. Today, I just needed my glasses fixed. I visited 3 other shops (Oakmont, Lens Crafters, and America's Best) the day before I cam back to Verona Eye Care. None of them could fix my glasses, and some even said my glasses were mangled and beyond fixable. They said there was a part missing at the top of my glasses. I was expecting the fixing process to take days, but the receptionist (receptionist! Not the doctor) fixed my glasses within a minute. She was very friendly and all around great. She even did this fix for free! I've had these glasses for years, they are sturdy, and I definitely trust Verona Eye Care to provide high quality glasses at reasonable prices and with great service. The optometrist is efficient. They are closed on Sundays unfortunately. My mother had an iffy experience here once where they recommended she go to Oakmont Eye Care instead (could have been the language barrier). But, this is definitely my go to optometrist. Quick, efficient, friendly, experienced, good with kids. I'll come back for glasses and a checkup anytime I need it.
