I came here to do my car wash after my friend told me about this place. It's super cheap and you have to do the drying yourself. What's nice is, I can just pay about seven dollars, to get the soap on, the wax on, and a little bit of the drying so that when I pull out from the wash, I can just wipe things down with a microfiber. A lot of people just drive out and then they do little bits of drawing that they missed and it's super easy. I usually go on a weekday, and there's at least two or three cars waiting. This is a great car wash place. Ive only been to it 3x as I recently found it but in those 3 times, somebody was actually cleaning the bays, emptying the garbage bins and making sure everything works as it should. The soap they use seem higer quality (at least compared to the other ones I go to in the area). Its thicker, foamier even from the high pressure nozzle. I also like the fact that it doensnt take long fot the chemicals to switch. The other car wash place I go to wastes about 10 seconds switching from soap to rinse etc. Cant say anything about their vacuums as I havent tried them out yet. Decided to give this place a try. This self serve car wash accepts credit card, which is a plus. You can also pay with cash, but you will need to redeem for tokens for use. I went on a weeknight and it was a very short wait. I was able to get a decent wash that included soak, soap, wash, and rinse for $8. I felt the water pressure could've been a bit stronger. Really easy to use their equipment even for someone who is 5 foot 3 inches like me. You can put cash into the machine for coins and the wash starts at $5. Make sure to add coins before the time expires and it will extend the time. If you use your credit card the minimum is higher but you get more minutes. I always start with the prewash, then the soap brush, then the pressure washer. The vacuum is $2 and lasts a while. Avoid Saturday mornings after 10 am the wait can be half an hour or more. Also some people are in and out of the wash area in 7 minutes. I have also been stuck behind someone who kept adding time and did the full dryer and there was a line behind me - so I was stuck for almost 30 minutes. It's very clean and safe. This self serve car wash is ALWAYS busy, except early in the morning and late at night. Be sure to time your trip there or you'll wait in a line. There are five bays and there's always a line during most hours throughout the day. The great things about this place is it takes cards and tap to pay. There are other reviews that recommend skipping certain options during the initial timing of the wash. I tried one recommendation before but eventually just did my own thing. Self serve car wash thats popular in the area... now I know why! I moved and the new apartment complex I'm at doesn't allow hand car wash. I always passed clear water and today decided to try it out. They're always so busy and it's understandable. The instructions on how to use it are very clear - you come up, swipe your credit card, clean your car, then press stop. Easy! There's a pressure washer, soap dispensing brush (stay away from unless you want to scratch your paint), and an air blower (which doesn't really work). I use the rinse, high pressure soap, and foam brush (for windows) and typically one swipe is fine. You select the different modes with the buttons depending on what you want to do - soap, rinse, blow, etc. Pretty easy to use. I forgot the prices but the first $4 swipe is about 5-7 minutes and the second $2 swipe is about 2-3 minutes. Regardless one or two swipes are usually good enough! read more

I came from socal on a business trip and went to wash the car before driving back to socal and this is honestly my favorite self car wash spot I've been to. Pros: Power washer has a lot more options then most places( soap rinse, engine wash, pre soap wash, and more then I've notice from other places) Seems like it gives more time to wash then places I've been to in socal. My favorite feature of the place is the "Turbo Dry" option. That gives you a high velocity blower nozzle, on a long hose, to "blow" your ride dry "touchlessly" while still in the stall. No streaks, spots, or puddles left over, no added swirls on your paint job from wiping it down. First time going to this one today and I like it! $5 for the first 8 min, $3 for the next 3.5 minutes so $8 total for 11.5 minutes. Other self service ones I've been to cost more than that for less time. It was easy to use and takes card as well so no more fumbling with quarters! There's always a line every time I pass it and today there' was a bit of a line but I didn't wait for too long. There's ample room around the bays for you to pull over and finish up. I love that this one has a blower for your car, I haven't seen that before. It definitely helps dry your car off faster. Only the soap and water jetspray is working. Pipes are leaky on all joints. Timer is not working/actually there's none. Don't ever Ever EVER use the brush, not unless you wanna scratch your car. The only 2 good things about this place is they will ensure your card is not triple or double charged, if you swiped more than once, & the jetspray pressure is so powerful, you don't need any scrubbing or brush, to remove any stubborn grime. There aren't many options for giving a motorcycle a good deep cleaning -- you can't take it through a conventional car wash, obviously, and doing it with a garden hose and bucket just takes forever. Especially on a big bike. I brought my ST1300PA to Clear Water Car Wash and it was so easy! And quick! One swipe didn't give quite enough time -- but to be fair, the bike was really dirty -- but I didn't need all of the second swipe. Hoses work with high pressure. As of 7/12/2021, $6 for first 7:30 and $2 for next 2:30. Start with the soapy or tire wash setting and work on tires first. Clean the wheel wells too. Then, with soapy wash setting, attack the roof and work down around all four sides. Make sure to start the rinse cycle by the 2 minute mark or you will likely run out of time and require another $2 to get rid of all soap suds. Even at $8 total, the car was washed much better than at a traditional car wash. I never use the brush on either the exterior or tires because brushes will scratch paint. read more

Giving this place 4 stars but only in comparison to the other self service washing places in the South Bay area. Don't expect to have your mind blown. Lot of old reviews with old pricing, so I thought I'd update the public. This place has changed name to Clear Water Car wash. you can find in on google maps under that name. This place as of 2019 is $4 for...oops I forgot..I think 3.5 minutes. $5 for more. They accept credit card, but I think minimum charge is around $7 bucks. Still not bad and you do get more time than with just $5. What makes this self service better than others in the south bay? 1. The water will not leave white marks (soft water) 2. They have a pre-rinse setting (softens dirt, good for those who do NOT use foam brush). 3. Every setting you use, you really feel you are getting a good amount of chemicals. For example, if I use the soap rinse, I see and smell a lot of soap. If I use the wax rinse, I see and smell a lot of wax. Pre-rinse? I smell so much chemical that I feel its a good idea not to let it touch my skin. They don't skimp out on the chemicals and seem to regularly refill their chem tanks. This is NOT the case at other self service washes. 4. They have an air dryer (good for those who want to go full touchless). I believe they are one of the only people in south bay with air dryer, and it works well to get most of the water off. Water pressure is good. And contrary to some other review here, when i accidentally put in a nickel, it spit the nickel right back out. The lighting here is also good compared to others. Bright and white light. Very helpful when inspecting your car. Also makes the place feel more safe when you are on a late night wash. Its across the street from 24hr jack in the box, so that also adds a little peace of mind knowing there are witnesses in the drive through for your potential mugging. Negatives? Sometimes the hoses up top can leak. Normally this happens only when you are washing the car, which is not a big deal. BUT I have had a minor drip AFTER I had finished washing and drying, which was annoying. So thats it. 4 stars in comparison to the rest we have on hand. I really like this car wash. Note it accepts only credit cards and tokens, but there's a cash to token machine you can use. I found on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't crowded, and I was able to spend my time spraying, drying, and then waxing my car in the back area. Part laziness; and partly because my car is no longer new; and finally because I'm just not one of those people who has "sparkling, shiny car" at the top of their list. (It's #47). But sometimes even my low standards are breached; like when my car begins to look as if it has been abandoned by the side of a dusty road for the last three years (while also sitting under a tree with a dozen large birds suffering from dysentery.) It's that condition (which I'll call a "Look"), combined with the fact that I have an event coming up (where people will actually see or be in my car) that makes me feel the need to take action. Enter Stierlin Auto Wash. All DIY. I don't go here to get my car the cleanest it's ever been; I do go here to get my car from about a "2" to a "9" on the clean scale. The best part? A mere $3 for 4.5 minutes. Fast; cheap; practical The procedure: -- Step 1: Close the windows and pop up the windshield wipers; -- Step 2: Enter $3 cash and select "foam brush"; -- Step 3: Quickly foam-brush the S#!& out of my car for about 1-2 minutes -- Step 4: Switch to high power rinse until time runs out (about 2.5 minutes); starting at the roof and hood and working down and back In the end, I've spent only a few bucks and I haven't used a ridiculous amount of water. I've also only used up a mere 5 minutes of my time. As for my car - it's not pristine, but it looks great and is no longer embarrassing. Is it possible to get my car cleaner than this? Absolutely. Add'l funds can be added for more wash time with more wash features; and vacuums outside the wash bays allow you to clean the inside as well. But in my experience, that last 10% of clean takes at least twice as long as the first 90%. Sort of like designing software (except software is never done). Tips and Tricks: -- Bring dollar bills or quarters if you want the cheapest/quickest option. -- Credit cards accepted, but is a minimum of $5 (about 8 minutes - still a good deal) -- Keep add'l bills handy in case extra time is needed; money can't be added after the timer completes. Much easier if you have two people working on it together. They have vending machines and vacuums near the drying area that require tokens and a machine that can turn singles into tokens, but the vacuums didn't last too long sadly. I have to see for myself to see if it was closed for good, and it's not. I'd stopped by at this location on June 8, 2018. And it was some people there washing their vehicles, I've washed my car at home in the past, but stopped due to my nosey neighbors, tired of having an audience every time I'd wash my car. The items are very easy to use, no need to bring a bucket of water or soap, you just need to bring some towels, and there is an area where you can vacuum out your vehicle. It excepts Credit Cards, coins and paper money. No audience, washed my vehicle in peace, I'm a fan will be back again.
