Awful service .Rude and over priced. I took my dog there for years and not once did they tell me he had any major issues. I did the yearly tests, shots, heat wormer, etc.,and everything else a dog owner should keep up with . Then one weekend night he was at urgent care and I found out he had cancer. You would think Mountain View could have caught that being that I had just took him there the weekend prior for an illness. I'll never go there again. read more

Doctor grabbed my dog by the collar and yanked her to the ground. When addressing the issue the doctor had no acknowledgment of the mistake and used medical terminology to defend herself. Do not recommend going here. My 8 year old dog is now afraid to go to any vet. read more

Became a first time customer a few weeks ago after our normal vet couldn't see our chihuahua for her worsening cough. COVID restrictions let one customer in at a time, but they scheduled such that there was no awkward waiting and juggling of customers outside the clinic. The two vets/clinicians who looked her over were friendly and seemed attentive. Prices weren't bad ($50 for about 20-30 minutes) yet two medicines prescribed ($60+) were a bit expensive, yet seemed close to the range of what our regular vet may charge with meds they supply at time of checkup. The $25 appointment reservation was fair and was credited to the total bill. What made me even happier with the visit was Mountain View making a follow up call a few days later to see how she was behaving, taking the meds, and if symptoms were improving. The symptoms our dog was exhibiting could be related to a larger issue, so I appreciate that they recommended a course of treatment that didn't front-load possibly unnecessary expenses like X-ray, etc, until after trying the recommended prescriptions first. That touch of care made our first experience with Mountain View worth it for a repeat. Thankfully she is doing much better now. read more

The vet techs were great. However, I called on Tuesday with a very sick puppy that I told the lady on the phone I thought had a cleft pallet and wasn't going to make it and needed advice and to be seen and she said she would talk to the vet and get back to me by 9:30. I called right at 8 when they opened. Well no one ever got back to me. We ended up losing the pup, which is ok-it had a long hard road ahead of it. But I couldn't believe no one called me back. Also, the last couple times I've called, and when I showed up for my appointment the vets are never there. I will for sure be switching vets to someone more reliable and also cares about responding when someone calls saying they have a dying puppy. read more

We've been going to this clinic since our regular vet retired a couple of years ago. They've seen the majority of our animals. We recently came home from being out of the country to find our oldest cat pretty sick and she was rapidly declining. I called them this morning to see if they had any availability because she was clearly not going to survive the next few hours. They fit us in within a couple of hours despite the fact that their schedule was fully booked for the day. Not only did they help her peacefully cross the rainbow bridge, they let us sit in their bereavement room as long as we needed. Two hours later flowers arrived at our door from them. We've never had a vet do that. It was above and beyond what they needed to do. Thank you guys for everything you've done for our babies. read more

I wasn't a client but called to get a baby goat in to be seen because she couldn't walk. They got her right in and with some antibiotics my little goat can now run and play. They were so amazing, knowledgeable and kind. And surprisingly, their fees were affordable. read more

"I was sad to find out that Mountain View Animal Clinic is more focused on money than on the well-being of its patients. I always took my two cats to the clinic and they were usually okay, nothing great, but okay. Last month (02/09/23) my cat was treated for a lower urinary tract disease, but she didn't get better, so I called again on 03/13 to know what else to do when I was informed that I needed to pay for a total new visit because it was passed the 30 days. However, I was never told that she needed to be seen again within 30 days, or any note on how to move forward. This is a fabulous clinic. I have an older dog with just a few health issues. I first came here as I saw they had good reviews. Everyone was so wonderful to her and to me! She needed some dental work, which I was really concerned about due to her age. I could tell with her first exam that we were in perfect hands. The staff was awesome and her care was top notch!! They even told me it was fine if I wanted to call and check on her during the day!! She did great and I am totally confident coming here for all of her needs!! Best vet ever for us! read more

Picked him up....Still had his dewclaws. I brought that to their attention... " oh, we can put him back under and remove them." WHY IN THE HELL WOULD HAVE A DOG PUT BACK UNDER ANESTHESIA TO HAVE DEW CLAWS REMOVED? Plus, I was sold on it because he was ALREADY in surgery. 3. The Rottie was adopted from the animal shelter (mind you, the THIRD dog I've honored MVAC with) and when I included my $50 voucher from the shelter, with my credit card, I have informed "Mountain View Animal Clinic" does not participate in that program. Horrible Clinic!! Latest appointment in the day they would give me is 4:20!! I asked my husband to take our dog there so we could arrive in a timely fashion . I left my work early....stuck in traffic and showed up to the front door about ten minutes late to the appointment only to be told I couldn't come in!! Only one person allowed in at a time. No one ever said anything about this when I scheduled the appointment!! I will never return to this clinic!! If they can't respect my time I won't respect theirs!! Shame on them!! read more

We had an emergency with my dog and my original vet wanted 180$ for just a fecal sample and checkup - I knew from past experience he would spend 5-10 minutes with her before charging an arm and a leg for something I may or may not need. Took my dog to Mountain View on a recommendation from my sister in law, where the vet tech and doctor spent at least 25 minutes with the dog, checked her over nose to tail, and could tell she was sick even though her sample came back negative. For 179$ they processed the sample, did a thorough checkup AND a medicated shampoo, spray and antibiotics. This is so much more than my other vet would have done. They were very informative and gracious. read more

Dr. Darcey and Dr. López are the best vets I've ever had. Their staff is first rate. They've saved my elderly cat's life twice now, and he's happy and feeling good as he turns 15. They don't upsell or overcharge and they never rush. I'm moving three hours south and I'm seriously considering driving up to see them for check ups with my pets. read more

The staff is friendly, and the doctors are qualified and compassionate. I especially like Dr. Law. However, the rotating, large number of receptionists often make mistakes regarding instructions during a pet's stay. Even if you fill out forms online prior to boarding or daycare, make sure to not only review the instructions orally, but to ALSO ask for a printout to double-check for errors or omissions. (EX: Make sure a vaccination is on the instructions as well as a grooming appointment, etc). I wish that the practice did that automatically. Otherwise, it's a great place for excellent vet care, daycare (indoor and out), and boarding. read more

Considering the covid era we have been placed in, I feel their whole staff were professional and treated our dog kindly. Our dog had a dangerous skin growth that would not heal. They examined it in detail and knew it was a growth under the skin as well. They gave me a detailed itemized cost of surgery down to everything including times to perform different stages of the operation. The Doctors are a husband wife team working together combining their knowledge. They prescribed correct medications post surgery and had lab work done on the growth after removal at a reputable lab that analyzed in detail with photos as well as the surgical removal to ensure all growth was removed with a cushion of safety. They did excellent stitching methods and proceedures. Unfortunately it was a cancerous growth and best of their knowledge from the lab report was confined to the area they removed. Their technicians were compassionate and dealing with the extra work bringing them in and protecting animal and owner they managed it well with knowing the stress were in. They planned out their covid protocol and well prepared to protect you and your animal family member to minimize best as possible for the Covid spread. My only suggestion is they need to cover the parking asphalt with a white paint or other material that provides a cool surface as we could have fried eggs that day on it. I backed in my vehicle in as my dog is heavy and i didnt want the pads on her paws getting burned. I didn't have dog shoes. Small animals could be brought in using a portable kennel. So dont make your animals walk on hot black asphalt unless their feet are protected. Their pricing was within reason and showed to us what to expect. for the surgery as each item was broken down and cost that seemed reasonable. Also their are a couple of reviews that should be addressed with their team to keep it from happening again and any compensation due to the owners. read more

Took my dog for a recheck. The vet who help me was Dr. Josiel Lopez. As soon as he entered the exam room he had an attitude and was yelling and being very disrespectful to me and treating me like I was a bad pet owner. They charged me 45.00 for the exam, which is like I paid to be disrespected and yelled at. Also he charged me 50.00 for 10 pills for my dog. This clinic was the worst experience I ever had. And Dr. Josiel Lopez should never treat a paying customer that way. read more

We had our puppy neutered here about a month ago and everyone we encountered was very kind and informative. Dr. Darcey was patient with our skittish puppy upon meeting him, and sat with him for several minutes before doing anything he would be anxious about. They sent us home with clear instructions for post-op care and he is fully recovered and back to his normal puppy self. read more
