The wash was fine but the guy doing the finish work was terrible. Water spots and bug residue left all over the car. We spoke to him about it but he did nothing. Very disappointed. After the trip here and the Tropical Storm, my car was in dire need of a good cleaning. I purchased the Managers Special for $38. My car was thoroughly cleaned! I have the utility mats and they removed and washed them and vacuumed underneath!! The interior was detailed with Armour All as were the tires. The windows sparkle! Several people there mentioned being there for more than an hour and I kinda panicked. They must have purchased additional services. My car was ready in less than an hour and they were very busy. I have been coming to Clearwater to get my car carefully washed, vacuumed, interior cleaned, and fully hand dried for about 2 years. The care that the attendants give both before and after the car goes through the automatic wash is what sets this place apart. Usually two people begin vacuuming your car's interior floor carpeting and mats, and even the seats for crumbs or whatever. When the car is finished going through the wash/wax/polish/Rain-X area, it is brought around front and an attendant takes between 10-15 minutes hand detailing it. Window interiors are wiped down, all surfaces cleaned with a wet cloth, and hand drying is done around each doorway/mirrors, and other parts of the car. They finish it off with shining the sidewalls of the tires. The business's owner takes great care to make sure his employees are fully trained. I have had some new hires working on my car, and they seem to do almost as well as the most seasoned employees. The prices are steeper than at other washes, but as they say - you get what you pay for! I also like the two special finishes I can choose to pay extra for - a triple Armorall wax and a Rain-X coating. Neither is the same as a complete hand-done wax job, but these do keep the car cleaner for longer. The Rain-X is worth the extra cost, and I don't know if anywhere else even offers that. read more

This review is a little tricky to write because I'm split on how to rate it. I've decided to break it down into pros and cons (below): Pros: They do a great job cleaning the cars. Exterior and interior (a good interior job can be hard to find without going for a full blown detail job). The cars always are cleaned and vacuumed and look new coming off the lot. Cons: The service is painfully slow. The entire operation is a series of bottlenecks - mostly driven in inadequate staffing. Don't get me wrong, the staff is great, but they never have enough people working. I consistently find myself sitting around waiting for 45 minutes to an hour. If you have that kind of time, I recommend it, but don't come here for quick service - bring a book! Also, I was very disappointed on my last visit when the line was backed up to the highway. Instead of seeing everyone start hustling to keep up with all the cars, I was asked by the manager to pull up within inches of the car in front of me to "make the line look shorter". While I understand what he was trying to do, it seems like a very deceptive way to get more customers to pull into the lot. Rather than incurring the cost of additional staff, the choice was to deceive passing motorists into thinking the line was short. In summary - great outcome for going to this car wash, but you pay with your time. read more

always an amazing experience at Clearwater car wash! They are open from 8 AM all the way until 5:30 PM! It's full service, so you don't have to worry about doing a thing it's done for you clean inside and outside depending on the package deal you get! Prices are very reasonable even with a nice tip to the boys that do such a great job! Are usually do a " manager special" which looks like I took it to a detailer. It is so clean not a piece of dirt left in my cupholders or in my gearshift. Clearwater is also family, owned and operated by the same family that brought Clearwater for car service to us 17 years ago the young lady, that takes your orders or your request on which packet she would like really hustles and moves the line quickly! They usually do a great job but not today. The guy working on my car moved at a snails pace. He didn't do a thorough job. The protective mat in the back of my SUV was wet and sandy. I also realized he had not armour alled the inside. I was in too big of a hurry to say or notice that before I left the lot. Several people that came in after me were finished way before my car. He would not look me in the face while he shamelessly waited on his tip. The other guys were running circles around this slow poke. read more

I'll never go there again. Only one other car ahead of me but apparently was getting many services so I had to sit for 10-15 minutes while they vacuumed and washed the mats. They took my money as soon as I drove in so I couldn't turn around and the cashier was working on the car. When my wash was done mirrors were not even unfolded and no employee in sight. I usually take my car here for the pollen wash for 5.00 you car just runs through and is washed I usually just bring a towel to do a quick dry myself before I leave . If I want the inside cleaned and Vacuumed I do the 15.00 one . But you have to hope the guy that cleans the inside of your car uses several clean rags , because they are usually in a big rush , due to the cars waiting in line and because it's so hot outside , I discovered if you go early they do a better job cause they are not so exhausted from the heat . Last time I went for the 15.00 wash , the guy used the same rag to wipe the windows as he did the outside of the car and the wheels and the inside and when I got in he hadn't even wiped off the dash board, and the next evening there were wipe marks from the dirty rag all over the inside when oncoming traffic headlights hit it . The inside wasn't vacuumed very well either. Then on top of the price you paid for the car to run through the automatic car wash if you paid a higher price in the 20's the guy outside wants a tip so it can be an expensive trip if you don't watch. There usually is about a 20 minute or more wait till your car is done. But it is one of the few car washes left that you don't have to clean out your own car and vacuum it . read more

Don't go here! They took our floor mats from our car and then said they didn't. We went to the manager about this and he said he would take his employees word over ours. This is by far the best full service car wash! You get to choose what fragrance to have the inside cleaned. They cleaned the inside door jams, tire wells and rims! I will definitely be a regular customer, do not hesitate to bring your car here for cleaning. They do take longer wiping your car down, but who's complaining! Keep up the great service! read more

Excellent place if you want your car washed thoroughly inside and out. I would not consider going anywhere else the price is great you get what you pay for. You can tip the guys extra for great service that usually gets you a little further as far as detail. Tip them a $5 up front before they start wiping your car down after it goes through the machine. Hey, I used to like this place. Family owned, and run by a rather attentive family and team. Been coming here for years and collecting those buy 9 and get the 10th Car Wash free cards... have enough cards to make up a playing deck for a game of Canasta. Anyway in the beginning they had really attentive post-washaroo folks that really mopped up well, interior was all cleaned up nicely. This past trip I actually paid for a higher priced wash expecting more and got less. Inside windshield was smeared and fogged up the next morning with all sorts of streaks. Bird sh** was not all cleaned off the windshield on the outside either (drove away before I notice all this BTW) and the "new car scent" I asked for was non-existent, was this a miss or just a lazy staff member. Well going to cash in some of those cards next time around before I spend any more $ on this place. Always willing to give em a 2nd change. I like to support local small businesses. read more

Never, ever again! Got the car cleaned just before vacation. The only African American there, cleaning my car, scratched the hell out of the plastic covering my back up screen and the screen over my speedometer. This had to have been done with a dirty rag and on purpose. The windows were only partially cleaned and large portions of the glass were missed. He will never be allowed to touch my car again. Decided to try this local, full-service shop. First, with all the competition in the area, you'd think good customer service would be paramount. I'd rate higher, but manager doesn't deserve it. Staff actually did a good basic detail on my vehicle with what I consider more thoroughness than most. My experience with the manager, however, was disturbing on several levels. I had blond carpet that was showroom clean with black weatherguards & a blond vinyl cargo mat. When I arrived, staff removed black mats, placed them on ground and power washed them. I asked manager if they were going to dry them before putting them back in car and he said they would not be wet. In addition, before I could catch them, they also removed the clean cargo mat and placed it on ground for spraying. I told them it didn't' need cleaning and asked them to dry it before putting it back in cargo area. So they did. While car was being detailed, I noticed standing water on front & rear mats. I removed them to find carpet wet and dirty from uncleaned & undried mats. I asked manager to come look at it so he could see the water and dirt under the front mats and he said it will dry. He stated that is how they do all cars---putting wet mats on carpet. I explained I had just had blond carpets cleaned and now they were soiled.He said I was being ridiculous and told me they don't have time to listen to people whine or they'd never get a single car done. I asked for a clean, dry towel to soak up the water and he said we don't have dry towels. His demeanor was troubling and bordered on threatening. As I was walking back to my car, he shouted across lot, your dog is doing more harm to your car than a little water. Completely unacceptable behavior and customer service. The water/dirt left on my carpet had nothing to do with our non-shedding, crated family pet who is cleaner and more well behaved than some people, perhaps including him. I have never experienced anything like this with the professionals who detail my vehicle. The staff who worked on my car were respectful and thorough. Due to the wet mats and subsequent dirt on my light carpet I would not recommend subjecting your car to this service. I suspect the behavior of the manager is incorrigible as his staff actually apologized to me before I left. They don't need my business. read more

I used to think this place was second only to the carwash on 501, however, today my opinion has drastically changed. My Genesis came home with a rather noticeable scratch that could only have been caused by the carwash in some way. The scratch is in the forward section, center of my hood and runs for about 2 to 3 inches back toward the windshield leaving scratches along the path and actually digging into and chipping the clearcoat and the paint from its path. There is a slight dent at the site of the initial scratching and all this is definitely brand new to my car. I called and the person, James, was rude and proceeded to tell me I am an idiot as that could not possibly be caused by their equipment because if it scratched my car, it would have scratched others of the hundred or so vehicles through there today. Now, these people also spend time washing the front of vehicles with brushes and hand-held sprays - maybe that was the culprit! I will NEVER go back there and will do my best to deter anyone and everyone from so doing. While I am at it, if you are the owner and reading this review, you NEED TO FIRE JAMES -- he has ZERO people skills and knows literally NOTHING about customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
