I was in the ER for several hours, which at the time, given the fact that I needed to get diagnosed asap, seemed like a really long time. in retrospect after having been to 3 other hospitals since and waiting 10+ hours, that made Morton plant seem much nicer. I was put into a room within about an hour or 2. I was put into tests on an almost immediate basis, bloodwork, ultrasound, and CT. I was admitted within a reasonable amount of time. I'd say that MOST of the staff were a pleasure to be around and work with. there were a few that I preferred to no be around and I was always able to discuss those types of things with my doctors nd charge nurse. the kinder specialist that I saw moved very fast and did everything he could very quickly to figure out what the problem was and start treating it. As opposed to ruling things out one at a time. I believe this shortened my Stay and sped up my recovery A LOT. I had a couple of minor surgical procedures while I was there and I found most of the team that were involved with this were very comforting and had a great bedside manner. they were also very cognizant during treatment that I am not a Florida resident and there were questions surrounding my insurance and whether it would be accepted et. this didn't seem to affect the willingness of them to treat me but treatment plan was constantly thought with in terms of not overfilling me for things I didn't need.

Went in there with a severe cancer patient who rapidly deteriorated over the past two days and is now completely immobile with a pain level of 10 of 10 (he told the triage nurse it was a 14 of 10 but he knew she'd only document a 10). It's now been over 3 hours and he still hasn't received one pain medication to manage it. Has not been admitted. They brought him back to do a scan, but we couldn't get him on the table because he hasn't been able to stand up for a day now. Get the lawyers lined up. Or - go to a place that will treat your pain.

Extremely Disappointed With Billing Negligence and Lack of Accountability…read more I visited Bayside Urgent Care and clearly informed the receptionist--three times--before receiving any services that I needed to make sure my insurance would cover everything. I was assured and proceeded based on that understanding. The doctor recommended a lab test "just in case," and I followed his medical advice. At no point did anyone warn me that the lab they would send my sample to was out-of-network. A few weeks later, I received a huge bill from an outside lab that does NOT accept my insurance. I called Bayside Urgent Care immediately to understand why my labs were sent to an unauthorized office when I had explicitly stated multiple times to verify insurance coverage. The receptionist was dismissive, unhelpful, and simply told me: "You received the bill, so it's your responsibility. Talk to the lab." No concern, no accountability, no explanation. To make things worse, when my insurance agent contacted Bayside Urgent Care today, the office suddenly changed their story, claiming they had sent my labs to a different facility that does accept my insurance. Meanwhile, I continue to receive large bills from the out-of-network lab, and Bayside Urgent Care refuses to assist or correct the issue. This has been stressful, misleading, and completely avoidable had the staff simply honored my repeated requests to verify insurance coverage. Their inconsistent statements and lack of responsibility are unacceptable. I do not recommend this urgent care to anyone who values transparency, proper billing practices, or respectful customer service.

She highlighted our names for our 1:30 appointment for the 2nd Hepatitis A shot. Our first was in September at the Tarpon Springs location, which is closed indefinitely. This one is open, large, clean, and all CDC guidelines are being followed for a safe, well visit. Chairs are 6 feet apart, and only one was empty. So Husband and I shared that one until another waiting room opened up with 5 empty chairs. It was a very nice area, like the lobby: clean, with a TV, and chairs spaced out for social distancing. There was no free Wi-fi, but we had good cellular service with Verizon. Our appointment was at 1:30. At 2:15, Marilena brought us into her office. She gave us our immunization records. Then she gave us our shots. She was skillful, friendly, and fast. Going in, it did not hurt. Afterwards it hurt! Then we were done. Through a combination of mental health and physical health monitoring, I am a different person today on his way to a longer, healthier and happier life that was not even imaginable a year ago. The genuinely caring manner in which everyone at the clinic approaches the patients adds another level of healing to the process that they might not even realize. The clinic is headed by a particularly professional, sapient and informative individual that has shown me an unprecedented level of sincere concern that I have not experienced for decades. Referrals to hematology, nephrology, and dermatology are available through community partnerships with BayCare medical group. They have their own pharmacy and provide medications to patients at no cost but do ask for donations, any specialty medications (insulins, respiratory inhalers, or other extremely expensive medications) can be obtained through patient assistance programs. They truly are an all-encompassing practice, their knowledge and compassion is evident in the care they provide. I recommend this clinic implicitly.
