I had a fantastic meal at Hurricane Eddie's--the steak and fries were cooked perfectly, and the drinks were top-notch. I also stopped by Kaia Bowls a couple of mornings for their açaí bowls, and they were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the day. We couldn't resist Mint Fox Cookies and Ice Cream either, and I'm glad we didn't--it was the perfect treat. The plaza also has a Stix Billiards and Arcade upstairs, which looked like a great place to hang out, along with several other retail shops to browse through. Next time I visit, I definitely want to check out the Comedy Club--it looked like a lot of fun. Overall, Pelican Walk Plaza is a lively, walkable destination with a great mix of food, fun, and shopping. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

There are a couple of clothing stores and two bars. The most unique offering is the Hulk Hogan memorabilia store - hence the Hulk Hogan statue out front. Avoid this garage for July 4th or any large event…read more Parking in was easy we found a spot on the 5th floor. Getting out was a nightmare. We were back to our car within 15 minutes after the fireworks ended and were trapped inside the garage for over 2 hours without moving. A group of us walked down to see what was causing the delay. This was the only garage completely backed up, with only about 3 cars exiting every 3 minutes. The exit feeds onto a small one-lane side street, and there was no police or traffic control to keep cars moving. Meanwhile, the garages across the street were emptying in an organized fashion. By the time we finally got out, the roads were completely clear. The exit design is terrible, and the QR code payment system only makes it worse. Having to create an account, enter your credit card and license plate, and pay as you exit is a terrible system for major events. Payment should be handled before exiting so traffic can flow freely. There are plenty of other garages nearby. I'd gladly park 5-10 minutes farther away than ever use this garage again for a holiday or major event. Save yourself the frustration and park elsewhere.

Then, after the main department store closed up, the place fell into disrepair. So yeah, from the street, it ain't much to look at. It is, however, home to some tasty places. Cricketer's British fare, Sandbar Grill, Umai Japanese and pizza. In addition, the Bayshore Breeze gas station has ridiculous hot & cold subs and a Dunkin Donuts inside. Around back, there is an awesome dive bar called Commodore's Yacht Club, just in case Cricketer's is too upscale for your liking. Aside from eating, there is a great bike shop and a Dollar General that always has good prices on domestic beer.
