Jason and his crew put a pool in for us and it is incredible. They did the work in the time frame they said despite working in winter conditions. They were all prompt, professional, and courteous. In addition our pool has now been in use since May 2023. We had an issue today and Jason's crew responded within a day and corrected the problem we had caused with professionalism and courtesy. read more

Two years in a row this establishment has not removed all the intake/outtake plugs when opening my pool. This year I told the workers there are 5 and to please remove all 5 as last year they only removed 2. Also, they did not put the skimmer in that was left 6inches from pool after opening exposing my pipes to debris. When I called to let them know there is still a plug left in an intake valve and my pipes were exposed to debris due to skimmer not in place, the lady argued with me, heavily sighed into the phone, cut me off repeatedly and said the workers don't have time to come back to remove plug. They say they've been in business for 20 years. Jason says he's been in this business for 32 years. For the life of me, I don't know how. They agreed to do a job for me mucking out my leaf filled pool (our new winter cover split and all leaves fell in). $450 was agreed upon price. They sent two young guys who, through evidence of their work, either had no interest in doing the job or no experience/training. This was two weeks ago. After three or more phone calls complaining of the unsatisfactory work performed so far, I was referred to the owner, Jason, who promised to make it right although did no apologizing for the hassle up to that point. We met and formulated a plan to get my pool up and running. He gave me a short list of what to do to prepare for his team, which I did. This was on Friday. His crew was to show up on Monday. It's now Wed. end of day and I've seen no one. During our Friday meeting he badmouthed competitors and acted like and said that he had a "come to Jesus meeting" with the two who had done such an inept job so far. Remember he said he wanted to make it right. Not only is it not right....nothing has been done. My husband also owns his own business. I can't tell you how many times he has stayed late or gone back the next day or more to finish a job that throws him curveballs. He realizes that his customers are his company's lifeblood. Being a remodeler, sometimes getting into the project reveals issues unknown before the job was initiated. That just goes with the territory. You keep your promises, do the job how and when you say you will. Period. Seriously. Do not engage in business with this terrible company. Take my word as I have only written one other negative review in my life. It takes a lot to anger me enough to potentially harm a business through posting a bad review. But I feel more of a responsibility to fellow consumers at this point. Aside from terrible business ethics, I don't know how they sleep at night. read more

This place is horrible! Some friends of mine lost there pool nearly two years ago to the floods in Missouri. This JOKE of a business has been putting them off on repairs for nearly two years. I would NEVER USE THIS JOKE OF A BUSINESS. My friends have paid them and this so called business keeps putting them off! They are horrible about responding to their existing customers. My Clearwater pool is now 15 years old and it still looks great. Jason and his team did an excellent job installing the pool. I changed the liner after 11 years and needed filter repair after 15 years. They are quick to respond to requests (pool opening, pool closing, etc.) and do a thorough job. I got a pool from them About 3 years ago have had trouble with the liner pulling loose in spots every since I got it . It feel all the way down and they want 700.00 to put it back up. I wish l could get that kind of money for a 3 hr job. A liner shouldn't fall like that if it was put In right the first time. Clearwater came to my home and taught me what I needed to know about the swimming pool at the house we just brought. New pool systems we were unfamiliar with were shown to us and the functionality explained in detail. Their pool school techs are outstanding. They provided excellent instruction and answered all our technical questions. I found them knowledgeable and very professional. The best part for last was that this service was provided to us for free (OCT 2016) ***** This past Nov 2017 my wife and I decided to get a pool cover. Clearwater was our first choice. The ladies at the store in customer service took care of everything. Great customer service! The store really stepped up and gave me a great cover that fit perfectly and looks good for the right price (They gave us a military discount). My wife and I are very happy. It took a long time to get our pool in from the initial quote but the quality and cost was way better than anyone else we brought out. Everyone on here complaining about time to get in a pool has no clue about the process. We started our build right as things shut down in 2020. Rain, lead times and labor shortages hit everyone in the pool industry really hard. I have friends that took almost a year to get their pool done and I have another that paid twice as much as we did with Clearwater. Yes Jason is sometimes hard to get tied down and contacted but the guy really does do his best in my opinion. They have done a good job after the install on our closings and delivering our chemicals when we request them. Remember most people that had a good experience never post on Yelp, only those few that have had issues. No company has a 100% satisfaction rate and some times customers have unrealistic expectations and are just bad customers. read more

Not only does the owner make promises that he can't keep, but they refuse to answer your phone calls, texts, emails, etc. If you own a pool and want things fixed/open/closed this is the LAST BUSINESS YOU SHOULD CALL. Well this seems be Jason's M.O. We started plans this last April and as others have stated, he doesn't return calls, texts, etc. so times go by. From the very beginning I told him how important it was to have a pool for physical therapy. I am a 5 year survivor of breast cancer and swimming is good for me. Jason stated he understood and the pool would be finished shortly July 4. Suppose to come over to make final decision, but never happened. Almost three weeks ago he was to come over paint out the design and get the paperwork. I asked him every time are we on the schedule for early part of June, and he said yes. Well days past, no Jason. Finally texted him last Tuesday and his response was that he could not start until mid-July. Sent him an email and his response was never finalized the layout. Told Jason that had he come out as planned this would not be happening. I mentioned many things that went back and forth and told him he is not a responsible business. Well, Jason's last response to me was that he heard from people in the community to not work with me so now it too late to get another installer. Thanks Jason, NOT.. His initial allegations was how he told people that I wasn't like they explained. The interesting part is that we have only been back in kansas less than a year, and we all live on at least 2.5 acres or more! Needless to say his ending comment was that he knows EVERYONE!!!! Absolutely horrible service. Not only did they forget about our appointment, their liner installation and server was crap! Our liner has wrinkles all throughout the pool. We immediately called back and had them come to our house to look at the problem. Brian, one of their contractors who installed the liner, was extremely rude to my wife about the whole deal and stated it was no big deal. Also, they love to flick cigarette buts in your yard the entire time thy are working on your pool. I called the owner, Jason, and he told me to call HIM back when there is at least 3 good days of Sunshine so he can get someone out here to drain and reseat the liner. Two weeks, 3 phone calls later, he has not returned my call nor as anyone contacted us about having to fix THEIR messup. The liner was installed the first week of June.. It's now mid July. Look elsewhere. Horrible business. Filed a complaint with the BBB. UPDATE Sep 16 2011: Business still refuses to help us with our issue. They stated they would fix it on their time, and not ours. Owner also left a very unpleasant voicemail, using a cuss word to my wife. We've contacted two other companies, both which agree the installation of our liner was done poorly and sloppy. We are currently taking this company to court. As the previous poster stated, they cannot do anything within the specified time frame they say they will. They failed to show numerous times for appointments to install our new liner. It took us calling them to figure out they missed the appointment. Once installed, the liner has horrible folds all throughout the pool. They came and inspected it after we complained and said it was no big deal. We continued to ask for them to fix this, as other pool companies said it was not installed properly and would deteriorate faster if cleaning over the wrinkles. After threatening legal action, the owner called and said, "I don't give a damn if your pursue legal action.... we will fix this on our own time".. We ultimately had to pay another company to fix the wrinkles the best they could. read more

I purchased an Artic Spa from them and after more than 3 months of trying to get it repaired I realized that they were not capable of reparing it. First they sent this clown Brian out to the house and he told me his entire life story as well as that of the owner. They were no longer an Artic Spa vendor because Brian said that Artic stopped reimbursing them for their warranty work. That clearly was not the entire storey, but who knows what happened. I kept trying to call the office to talk with the owner Jason, but the person who answers their phone screens his calls so he's impossible to reach. Every time I called she was nice and acted like she was being helpful, but in the end they simply were not capable of servicing what they sold. read more

Would have liked better customer service, as they didn't show up at expected time or didn't attempt to do anticipated service. Person who answers phone and makes schedules does not seem to be on the same page as the owner, which she makes deals that the company cannot meet/accomplish. Well, I have to agree with the other reviewers...this is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with! I have bought a couple of spas from them over the years, and attempted to have them install a pool and several other outdoor projects. They NEVER follow through with their scheduled appts. They always have some lame excuse. I've had other companies end up doing the work, so business must be that good for Clearwater that they don't need the work. But they are one of the only Arctic Spa dealers in this area, and I prefer that spa, so I took a chance and bought a new tub in July, knowing I was taking a big risk! Well, I started having problems from day one, and called for Clearwater to service my spa and replace the damaged cover. Six weeks later, no word from them, so I called to see what the status was so that I knew if I had to find another option to get my spa fixed. And when I had the audacity to simply ask for the TRUTH so that I could get someone else to handle my issue... the latest "Manager", Brian, got very indignant and said no had ever talked to him like that before. Truthfully, I was being extremely polite considering all the frustration and money I have wasted trying to get them to cover warranty issues on a product THEY sold me. Jason, the owner, is basically a nice guy, and has helped me out several times when I was having pool problems. But as a business owner, he seems to surround himself with less than professional employees and gives them to much responsibility and they fail every time. They NEVER show up when they say they're going to, I mean NEVER. Don't even get your hopes up. I've been chasing a cover and warranty work now for over 3 months! My spa runs non-stop and the manufacturer won't help because Clearwater didn't register my spa with the manufacturer when they sold it to me. So now I can't get warranty work done elsewhere either... read more
