The doctor does see my kid during appointments, so I have no complaints there. My real gripe is on the parent side. With most dentists, you're invited back to see what's going on and get a quick update on your kid's progress. Here, that never happens. Once my kid's appointment is done, we're just sent to the front desk to book the next one. No check-in, no explanation of where we are in treatment or what's coming next. I'm sure everything's going fine, but as a parent I'd like to actually be looped in occasionally instead of finding out things secondhand from my child. Upon arrival, we followed the office's request to call first, and we were welcomed in right away. The nurses and doctors were ready for us, and the entire visit took less than 30 minutes. Scheduling the next appointment was just as smooth--the receptionist was wonderful, and we even shared a good laugh over something silly I said. She promptly sent over the new patient documentation, which, while tedious, is a standard step at any office. The facility is bright, clean, and inviting. My little one was especially fascinated by the fish tank in the lobby, which made waiting a breeze. The staff was incredibly patient and interactive--exactly what you need for a toddler's first dental experience. He knows what he's doing, he recommend some teeth removal before getting started so that my daughter could keep all her natural teeth (she had some missing adult teeth that would've never came in) and not worry about wisdom teeth coming in later on and making the teeth shift again. He also recommend an oral surgeon for the teeth removal and everything went smoothly! We are currently on the last phase of braces, my daughter's braces came off this week and now we just have retainers. His timing on how long treatment will be is spot on. His office works so well as a team there are no delays, everything gets done quick but efficient. Appointments are always on time, which I loved because we have a busy schedules. I read a comment here where someone said Dr.Hom didn't have any bedside manner. I disagree, Dr.Hom, doesn't have what some would call an "animated" personality but that doesn't mean he doesn't have bedside manner.
