These people will lie and mislead you. I told them I needed my ac compressor replaced and emphasized the clutch was the main problem. Before putting down a deposit or anything, I asked whether the clutch and clutch coil were included, and she said yes. I confirmed it a second time before going through with the purchase. My grandpa was on the phone and witnessed this. Then the next day, when they got the part, she called me and said I'd need to buy the clutch and clutch coil, and I was confused because she'd said it was included. I told her I'd confirmed with her, and she said she hadn't said it was included. We went back and forth, and in the end, I moved my car to a different shop. Overall, why would a shop buy a part that doesn't include the part that I told them was the main problem? Next time, before buying a part, make sure it's the part I told y'all I needed, so y'all don't have to lie about whether it was or wasn't included. I had to pay a restock fee of 355$. If you decide to go here, make sure EVERYTHING IS IN WRITING!!!!!!. Since they want to comment and say I didn't say anything about the clutch (which I knew was the main problem and the reason why I called them in the first place). I didn't know the A/C compressor or the clutch coil had issues, because I'd been having clutch problems for a while and knew it needed to be replaced. As I said, while on the phone, I confirmed with them that the AC compressor would come with the AC compressor, clutch, and clutch coil, and that the rest was already explained above. Comment for the owners: Don't say I didn't know I had an issue with my clutch, because that was the first thing I said on the phone when I called. Get your facts straight. read more

Setup: I was coming into town from Sac for the day and began hearing a whine noise from under the rear of my truck bed as I was entering town. This raised a lot of questions, esp if I could or should drive home later that night. Unfortunately, I had work commitments and was unable to deal with it until early afternoon when I called on the recommendation of a local resident. I drove the truck over having no real expectations... A nice women and two dogs greeted me and after hearing of my issue called into the shop... saying to one of the mechanics that "we have an emergency here" ... not my words but thanks! The mechanic was laid back... and listened to my setup... then went on the ground and under the truck and quickly identified that the main driveshaft bearing was worn out and the drive shaft has too much play in it. I asked him (should I leave the truck and get a rental home and deal w the distance later? what should I do... and he simply said if it where him to go ahead and drive home, safely and avoid heavy acceleration and breaking... I should be fine even w 200 miles home. Those words gave me a lot of peace of mind... It took him minutes but I wanted to pay him for his "expertise" and they declined any payment... so fast forward a week... this yelp review is the least I could do ... for helping.... For those in the area... be it karma or simply wanting to deal w people of good character I would strongly recommend Cleary's! read more

I brought in my 1997 Ford 350 in a year and half ago because the coolant was boiling over. He re[;aced a water pump because the lid was leaking which is fine. I thought the problem was fixed. But it did it again so another $1000 00 worth of replacement parts and it still is doing the same thing. So this time I brought it in and Brian said he would pressurize the system and maybe it was the heater core which he would charge another $75.00 for. I asked him why he didn't do that the second go around and he said he did but it's not on the invoice and professionally that is what you are suppose to account for. So I have doubts he did that. I said would you please forego the charge this time because I've already spent almost two thousand dollars on a problem you haven't solved but replaced other things thinking maybe that's the problem. When you guarantee your work your suppose to solve the problem aren't you? Well, considering how much I have paid to solve this problem you would think Brian would at least forego the cost of disconnecting the heater core. You be the judge but as far as I'm concerned he fixes everything but the problem. So beware. I am taking my business elsewhere. read more
