One of favorites in Dover. Parking can be a challenge but usually find a space. I like that they do have a reservation option but plan because on the weekend and beautiful night they could be busy. Staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is great with views of the river. Certain nights have live music. Went with the smash burgers this evening which were excellent and the add on onion rings topped it off. Lightly battered and friend perfectly, you can't go wrong. Try them. A big time thumbs down on this place. I've always had very mediocre experiences in the past but thought I'd give it another shot. I Ordered a simple Caesar Salad with medium rare steak tips and dressing on the side. When it arrived I noticed that the dressing was incredibly watery and not the thicker consistency a caesar usually is. So I asked a different server about it and she said that's just how their caesar is. I then asked her for other options and decided on a blue cheese instead. She came back, dropped the new dressing off and left. This dressing looked off as well. Well guess what? It was off because It was tarter sauce. What? I finally got the dressing but the salad wasn't good at all. Salad greens were brown in some areas, very little parm. Cheese, the steak tips were a disaster. Chewy, couldn't cut easily with a knife, odd taste. All I wanted was a caesar salad. Unfortunately, I'm officially done with this place. read more

The Farm is one of my fiance's favorite spots, so we decided to come here for our anniversary dinner this past Sunday. We were seated quickly around 5:30pm at a high top table near the bar. We started with the fried cheese bites which were good and had a great cheese pull, but were not as great as leftovers. My fiance was super excited for the mac and cheese with pulled pork, and I was ended up with the autumn salad with steak tips. The mac and cheese was absolutely massive and he was satisfied. The salad was nice and loaded, the fried goat cheese was nice and crispy, and the steak tips were cooked perfectly (medium rare) with a slight sweetness to them. Parking is a little cramped since you have to drive down a small driveway to get to the parking area, and be aware you will have to walk up a hill (unless you're dropped off by the door). Rustic atmosphere with excellent food. The bbq nachos are huge and easily shared between multiple people. The clam chowder is silky smooth with big chunks of clam and potato. My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner before heading to a family member's home. We both ordered fish: fish and chips for my husband and I dined on the haddock sandwich with fries. The haddock was amazing:fresh, plump and flaky. Our fries were also delicious. The Farm's cooking oil is super clean and permits the foods' flavors and textures to shine. I was disappointed with the Harvest salad. It's sounds great on the menu but was lacking in texture. The apple cider dressing was overpowering and hid the subtle flavors of the squash and beets. I'd add pumpkin seeds or nuts for crunch. Change the greens to something sturdier and add Gorgonzola or Blue. Serve with a different vinaigrette. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. Some of the worst service I've had at a restaurant. We waited 30 minutes just to get water and another 45 minutes for our food to come out. The staff had no clue who ordered what and we saw a server walking around offering our food up to other tables before realizing where it was supposed to go. One of our drink orders was wrong, but we didn't correct them since who knows how long it would've been to get a replacement. The food was definitely average. Nothing stood out as exceptionally good. Oooh went back to this lovely slightly off center little spot yesterday for a late lunch with a friend and refound a favorite- the fish tacos, baked not fried. Now fish tacos are kind of a thing with me, had them in several different countries and continents, and I do so love them. I've had them here once before, and wasn't that impressed. This time I was. As usual, the farms take on them is a little deconstructed and eccentric, but yummy. A slightly sour sauce and pickled onions makes them a wonderful taste experience. The fish was flaky and lightly but well seasoned, with a touch of cabbage slaw to brighten it all up. Maybe not as good as some I've had on the streets of Loreto, but pretty dang good for NH. Our server was professional , kind , and attentive. Also patient, as my friend and I spent more time catching up than eating. Really enjoyed this place on a very cold Saturday afternoon. We came in around 2;30, seated right away, and immediately noticed how clean it is! The menu is huge, and I saw a bunch of different dishes from all across the menu come out to people's tables, so I got the sense the whole breadth of the menu was safe. I was right! To begin with, an email inquiry through the contact link on their website regarding alleged accessibility went unanswered and we ended up assisting a 96 year old member of our party with a walking disability up a flight of steps then another steps to enter the restaurant. We were seated in the entry hallway next to a janitorial closet with an open door so that our limited view of the interior included mops, brooms, etc. Lovely. My Haddock looked nothing like the picture on the web site. It was a pale, barely heated to temp, breaded piece of fish. No crunch, absolutely no flavor served on a cold hamburger bun: the worst Haddock Sandwich I have ever been served in Southern Maine/Seacoast New Hampshire. We were in downtown Dover and wanted to try a place with outdoor seating. Location- This restaurant is right in downtown Dover. It is set back from the road but has plenty of parking. They have a fairly large deck and due to COVID they also have some tables on the grass behind the restaurant next to the river. Food- They had a smaller menu due to COVID but it was perfect. We ordered California Club Wrap, Pulled Pork Burrito, and Chicken Tender Dinner with Sweet Chili Sauce. The presentation of all the meals was on point. The California Club Wrap did not disappoint. The wrap had very juicy chicken and the wrap was well put together. My boyfriend got the Pulled Pork Burrito and he said it was very filling and had lots of flavor. My sister got the Chicken Tender Dinner w/Chili Sauce and also raved about how it tasted so fresh. We all loved our fries. They were crispy and super flavorful Drinks- Ive been to the Manchester location before to have drinks so I am a mega fan of their Farmers Punch. The Farmers Punch was sweet and strong. We also got a Watermelon Red-bull Rum Punch that came in a festive Barcadi bucket with the Red Bull can in it. The drink tasted like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher. It definitely gave me a nice jolt and buzz Service-Our waitress , I think her name was Annika,was extremely friendly and very prompt at taking our order. It took me 9 weeks in Dover to find this place. I was excited to find a place with a happy hour and plenty of cars parked outside. I guess everyone was there for the 50% off beer. It was Wednesday so wings were 50% off. I gave the bartender an extended conversation describing that i wanted the wings extra crispy with the chicken meat DRY. He assured me that he understood as he prefers crispy chicken wings as well. Well, that didn't happen. Eventually the server asked how they did on the wings. I told him "not too well" I said I would take them home to finish cooking tomorrow in an air fryer. The Thai lettuce wraps were very good. Presented well and tasty, $15. I ordered New England Clam Chowder for $12. I received a cup of chowder. I was disappointed. Another disappointment, the bartender (I was sitting at the bar watching baseball) topped off my diet cola on top of a watery, melted drink. ALL IN ALL, I won't be going back. Friendly reception was followed up with you get things our way and you like it. And our menu doesn't say cup or bowl so pay $12 for what you get. We go a few times a year. The menu changes and gets less and less interesting. It's much less local pub food than it was a few years ago. Wait staff is hot or cold. Sometimes they are on you every five minutes. Sometimes you don't see them except to take your order and give you a check. It doesn't seem as loud as it once was. You can hear your party at your table without having to scream. Perhaps background noise is less so we aren't all screaming. That makes it nice. Well, I wanted it to be great...BUT...on a Sunday afternoon around 3-4PM...Out of their speciality - Short Ribs....so ordered steak Tips...No Good..really tough and stringy...Green beans were room temp..only ate 1/2 of the steak tips. took the rest home and ended up throwing them away. Went yesterday and have been several times before. Great place to sit outside and have a drink and app in the summer. Yesterday however was not as great. Hostess was annoyed we wanted a table after we waited at the check in booth for over 10 minutes before we saw an employee. Again she was annoyed we didn't want the bar even when several tables opened. Our waiter was great and definitely no complaints about him. Nachos and drinks were good as usual. The biggest disappointment was ordering two steak dinners and getting instant mashed potatoes with them. Definitely not something you expect outside of a diner, especially for the price. read more

My review is based off of an appetizer heavy dinner. Our experience was slightly offbeat from the get go when the host/hostess was not there to greet us. I know this isn't the biggest issue and for some not an issue at all but it makes you feel a bit more welcome when there's someone there from the start. This issue came back up at the end of dinner when there was noone there to bid us adieu. Also, we were brought to a table that was still dirty. As for the food, the appetizers are a bit lackluster for the most part. The coconut shrimp is a toss up depending on how much you like shrimp. It is a great portion size as you can see from the picture, but too much shrimp for me personally, though my girlfriend liked it a lot. The chicken tenders were your average chicken tenders, not bad, nothing special. The jalapeno poppers were very good, but wish that there were more than 5, the only small portion was the best dish. The skinny goat flatbread missed the mark for us. The lettuce was wilted, the pizza itself was Lukewarm, and the dough a bit undercooked. Overall 4 very dense foods. The waitress was nice and attentive. She was helpful without being overbearing, which I appreciated. Overall I would have given the night a three and a half if given the option, but felt that it was closer to a three than a four. read more

A #1 rating is way too generous for this restaurant. Our experience was terrible in every way. While waiting for an outdoor table, we were ignored by the bartender. She wouldn't even acknowledge us, a simple "I'll be right with you" would have been nice. 10 minutes later when someone moved from the bar, she then acknowledged us. We were finally seated outside by the hostess and seemingly forgotten to the point it was almost comical. We tried to get the attention of several staff who just walked straight past without even looking at us. Several people were seated after us and received water and silverware, etc. We finally got the attention of a young man who finally served us. Even the hostess, who seated us wouldn't even look our way. When our food arrived, our appetizer came with our daughters main meal. At this point, we were told they were out of silverware and we had to eat with flimsy plastic utensils. The food was disgusting and we all felt sick on our way home. When leaving we walked past the hostess and again she did not acknowledge us or say "thanks for coming". This restaurant deserves a BIG FAT 0!
