a row of bar stools at a bar

This is a timely little neighborhood bar I found after taking a city bike over the Williamsburg Bridge, while on vacation. I like vacationing there because I never have to step into a car, I just wish the water closets were a little bit bigger. Friends and family are great to visit and catch up with, but my favorite part is when their lives must continue, and I'm left to stroll and sing (and drink). So Clem's is a bar, and there's not much more to say about that, except that the bartenders and locals were downright friendly by Brooklyn standards, and the drink specials introduced a warm, familiar camaraderie between the gut and the brain.

Clem's is cool, Clem's is hip. It's a small little bar located in a corner of Williamsburg. You've got your regulars who know everything and everyone and the ones who pre-game before heading out for dinner or a movie. I personally enjoy their beer-and-a-shot specials, which include the Federale (tequila & Tecate) and the Patriot (whiskey & Narragansett). And they're only $6! If that's not a drink deal, then I don't know what is! The bartenders are easy to talk to, and they'll make your drinks strong without a second thought. The vibe here is real good, and I'll be coming here more often.

We like popping in here for an afternoon "Federale" special, beer and tequila double whammy. It's a long bar and when you walk in there is a tiny booth on the left and a tall table on the right. I love all the natural lighting. It's on the corner and there's tons of windows. Anytime we come there's always some cool rock tunes on. Since, we come earlier, we never have any issues getting drinks and it's never too crowded. I enjoy the simple decor and bits of taxidermy.

I love Clem's. The beer is cold, the bartenders are hot, and the patio is nice. Will be back

Im glad we stumbled upon jar bar when I mean it's cheap I means it's cheap so my experience was pretty great in the jar bar and I'm so glad I got to experience it. So when we found jar bar we went in and the environment was great the bartender was great we were talking to local as well or probably the owner not sure. So jar bar has a special which by the way the price to it was fantastic so for 6 dollars you can get the a shot and beer special if I'm not wrong it's not everything on draft I think you get like 5 choices. But ether way they give you a beer and a house liquor and when I tell you its great experience it is they have a juke box they have a pool table and arcades pin ball mostly. In general the location of the bar was great the only downside is it's a cash only location and as much as I prefer using cash cause I can control how much I spend i do think it's a bit of inconvenience. Because theirs Alot of people who prefer just using their card and don't really carry cash on them other then that little thing it's a great place to drink. it's friendly music was good the ambiance was chilled and I really cant complain the bartender was nice and chilled she was friendly. So if you are ever around Sunnyside and you want a chill place to hang out for a good price definitely check out jar bar just make you sure you have cash on you or go to your bank. If you're banks around go take out cash cause it's a great location and the people that around seem pretty chilled. They also have backyard if you don't want to drink inside of you going to take a smoke I highly recommend the location just remember Cash only.

The prices were really good to. $6 for a beer shot special. I could see myself coming back here and making this my local spot. The people at the bar were super chill as well. Theres a pool table here! There's a nice outdoor area too! I loved the bathroom and the messages! Clean bathroom!

Understated would be the best descriptor for this bar known for their PBR's and cheap beer+shot combos. In fact this has been the site of many film sets, chosen for its non regionally specific qualities because from the outside and inside it really does feel like it can be as much a bar located in a town many states over as one right here in Brooklyn, a little out of place among the new buildings and new age cocktail bars that populate the Greenpoint. It isn't just one demographic that you'll find filling most of the seats here either. Different age groups, personalities and backgrounds will find themselves here, much like the makeup of the surrounding neighborhood. A great equalizer of a bar, which is part of the draw. That you can have a raucous conversation with folks you may not otherwise find yourselves rubbing elbows with.

This bar is lame! People keep telling me "oh it's for locals" or "oh, this is a blue collar place",…read moreand I don't buy any of the excuses. It's just not fun, and the thought of it being any sort of "social club" (See: previous name, categorization on Yelp) is complete hogwash. I mean, they do beer/shot combos for cheap. That's cool I guess, but I had quickly learned it's what half the dives are adhering to. I don't care if their draught selection is sparse, what gets me is how tiny the pours are. I do not think it was even a full 12 oz in my little mug. Maybe 10. Can someone measure this out for me? Goodness gracious I don't like paying pint prices to get just over half a pint. Liquor selection blows. It's cash only, which you'd only know from a very small, inconspicuous sign above the register. And to make matters worse, their ATM was down! And they were completely unaware. Goodness gracious, I'd never come back here.
