Very good food. Counter service with a smile and yummy barbecue. I've passed by for years. So glad we finally had time to eat there. We'll definitely go back. My sandwich fell apart, but was still delicious.

Noodles are over cooked in this Mac n cheese

I feel like the pulled pork is way over cooked or it was cooked awhile ago and reheated. The Mac n cheese is disgustingly. The noodles are overcooked. Velvets shells and cheese is better than this. I will never be back here. Still hungry, got to find another place to eat.

This place has real barbecue, and it's very tasty. This is a counter-service place, with food already prepared, and some pre-packaged. Each item is ordered individually and packaged "to go," but there are plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. The barbecue sauce is tangy, and comes "on the side," so you can use as much or as little as you want. The meat is flavorful and cooked very well. The side dishes are also tasty, with some being better than others. There is an eye-catching pig on top of the building, and a large parking lot. (I often see trailers parked there, and they aren't blocking anyone or crowding the lot.) You can see/smell the barbecue being cooked outside on some visits. The prices are reasonable, and the establishment is kept clean. It's easy to access when traveling east on 22. If you're traveling west, you'll need to do a u-turn to get there, and another when you leave if you want to continue westward.

Quart of pork, Mac and cheese, ribs and baked beans

Always reliable. The ribs fall right off of the bone!. It's easy to just walk in, order and eat without a big fuss. I love that there is only one sauce and you know it's good. It's thick and flavorful. No guessing what to get... simple and to the point. The Mac and cheese is creamy but kinda lacks flavor. But the pork, ribs and sauce make up for it! Other bbq joints have been hit or miss (sometimes good, sometimes not,) but we can always count on deliciousness at Clem's. I got a whole quart of pork so I can enjoy some later.

Took a detour past Clem's and stopped for lunch. This is a counter service place with indoor seating. We got boneless rib subs and birch beer from the window and had a quick lunch. The meat was tender, bbq sauce good. I did see a smoker out back, so they are slow cooking the meats. Very messy sandwich...we both ate it with a fork.

In search of good barbecue this last weekend for the Fourth of July when I stumbled across Clem's. This place is right off the main thoroughfare and you'll miss it if you aren't paying attention. Lucky for us, the pig sitting atop the restaurant caught our eye with enough notice. The meat smokers were billowing large plumes if hardwood smoke and though the parking lot was mostly full we squeezed ourselves in. During Covid they are limiting the number of patrons to 8 at a time in the store and no seating inside. There is however, a backyard with picnic tables under a shelter for those looking to eat on premise. Ordering was a breeze as there are only about half a dozen ways to prepare ribs, chicken and pulled pork. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese and I got the combo which came with 2 pieces of chicken and 1/4 rack of ribs. Meat was tender and the BBQ sauce flavorful. I'm more accustomed to smoked meats in the South which typically don't come with sauce so that the meat can speak more for itself. Clem's on the other hand came swimming in sauce and therefore the meat didn't shine as much as I hoped. Still a good meal at a very reasonable price!

We live 1.5 hours away and once a year we drive past on our way to Pleasure Valley Raceway. In my opinion, if you give this place less than 5 stars, either you didn't get ribs or bbq just isn't your thing. We pick up ten racks and head to the track. Once we arrive and share the news, the ribs don't last long. You don't need to order ahead because they have already smoked the ribs. It's not fast food but since they smoke everything in advance, you get your food fast. We have tried the mac n cheese and it's tasty too. Maybe someday I will try the pulled pork and coleslaw but I can't pass up the ribs. If you live in Pittsburgh and like ribs, find a reason to take a drive out 22 and stop at Clem's.

Throughout highschool my friends and I have always gone to keystone state park as a day trip followed by Clems for dinner. After 4-5 years of going during the summer clems is fr the best place to eat. Their food is amazing, and the people who work there are amazing. We typically like to eat outside and this one dude kept making jokes with us. A few of us didn't get anything to eat (we just weren't hungry) and he came out with 3 of the best sweet potato pie slices. They were so good. Thank you to the guy who gave us them.

Every so often, my family and I drive through Blairsville and have an opportunity to splurge on some tasty BBQ here at Clem's Cafe. This little shop has been in operation for over 20 years, and there's a reason they've been around so long - they're gooooooood. Clem's boasts that they're know for big portions, affordable prices, and amazing flavor enhanced by their use of hardwood fires. Well, they're not lying. The pulled pork sandwich I ordered (topped off with a hearty portion of sweet BBQ sauce) was enormous, so much so that I almost didn't have room for the mac and cheese with it. Almost - I love me some good mac and cheese! Clem's also offers chicken and ribs, as any good BBQ place should. My family has tasted a little bit of everything at this point. All of it is nicely seasoned - all of it is juicy and flavorful. Put simply, everything is gooooooood. While I wouldn't mind a few additions to the menu to accommodate a smaller stomach and appetite, this place is still a delicious experience. Definitely make time to visit Clem's if you're driving by - you won't regret it!

Clems is good BBQ. Not great, but it usually satisfies my cravings the few times I pass through the area. I think their meats and preparation methods are pleasing, but I find the sauce to be too overpowering. It is located in a prime location, so it attracts a constant flow of loyal customers who wouldn't dream of driving by without stopping in. Over the years, Clems has grown from a small roadside stand into a large eat-in restaurant. Orders are placed, served and paid for in one transaction at the counter. Service is fast and efficient.

Boiled chicken from bbq place! Nasty!!! And by the way on the off chance it's not boiled? Nope no way it's boiled !

The food is okay but they smother the meat with BBQ sauce. Good BBQ should never be drowned in sauce.

I also had the mac and cheese both times not because it's amazing but because they lack veggie sides. They don't have green beans, collard greens, or corn. The mac and cheese tend to be sticky and dry from sitting in the heater box. Adding a little milk and reheating does it great justice. As far as the meats the chicken was my least favorite. That being said, I'm very critical of my chicken as it's my preferred protein. Most often it's dry and that's the case here, the seasoning seemed like an afterthought or maybe that's because of the dryness. Their brisket and pulled pork were both solid choices. The pulled pork is tender with a great bun if you get a sandwich and the brisket is hearty and smokey. There was no question as to lean or fatty so that's a Texas classic that was missed. Regardless it was still great as far as Pittsburgh vicinity BBQ. The atmosphere of this place is a bar that also has gambling and tables for the bbq joint. One time I visited they had live music outside. It seems like a great community gathering spot but I've only ever had takeout.

It is located in the parking lot of a Bruster's Ice Cream, but don't let the location deter you from being a customer. This food truck makes better BBQ than many brick-and-mortar restaurants. The current hours are lunch and dinner on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So far, I have been a customer here one time. The menu on the truck listed meats of pulled pork, beef brisket, baby-back ribs, and chicken and sides of potato salad, coleslaw, mac & cheese, BBQ baked beans, baked potato, French fries, cornbread, and bread roll. Platters and family meals are available, and customers also have the option to customize a sandwich, wrap, salad, etcetera. I ordered the Family Meal with 4 pieces of chicken, 8 ounces of pulled pork, 8 ounces of beef brisket, a half rack of ribs, 4 cornbread muffins, one large potato salad, and one large baked beans for a total of $62. An employee promptly took my order and payment, and several minutes later she handed over my meal. I ate the meal at home a while later. I enjoyed all of the meats and sides. My favorites were the brisket, which had the perfect smoky flavor and amount of fat, and the potato salad, which was slightly tangy. Furthermore, the pulled pork and the chicken were juicy, the ribs were tender and had a decent rub, the cornbread was slightly sweet, and the baked beans were spicy. A few small containers contained the Original BBQ sauce, but the meats were so flavorful that I did not even need the sauce.

I ended up with the brisket which was decent but the meat and rice were cold so the flavor didn't really pop as much. There was one option for BBQ sauce, I wish there was more because I ended up not liking it. It was on the sweeter side. I'd recommend asking for it on the side rather than getting it scooped on the entire bowl. The brisket portion was super generous which I was impressed by but it was hard to eat because it was in super long strips and not in bite sized portions. The plastic fork and knife provided did their best but it was a struggle trying to navigate using them with the shape of the bowl. Skip the sides. The greens tasted canned. Cornbread was soggy on the bottom and hard on the top. Mac and cheese was okay but not amazing. The entire meal felt like a strange combination of store bought sides/toppings and home cooked things. If they focused on fresher ingredients I think it would be a game changer. The concept is cool but it wasn't fully actualized. The people were 5 stars though. Very friendly and kind. We got food relatively quickly. You can eat in the restaurant but most people got their food to go while we were there. I think if I had gotten a sandwich instead, I may have had a different experience. The rice bowl with brisket was my choice because it was a crowd favorite but it just may not be for me. Id suggest starting with a classic sandwich and crafting an opinion from that if you plan to try this spot.
