We like Rose Inn very much. It's our go to place when I don't feel like cooking which is often. The service is great when they have enough waitresses on. Went recently went on a Monday for supper and there was only one waitress. All the girls are very nice and accommodating. The service leaves a lot to be desired but, the food is good, the beer is always cold and the prices are decent.

We moved back to the area two years ago. Folks had mentioned going to Rose Inn. This evening, the two of us decided to go. Special of the day, Delmonico steak and crab legs. Upon arrival, the gal tried to seat us at a booth then discovered someone else had been seated there, she then directed us to a table in the deck area then realized the table hadn't yet been cleared. She hurried and cleaned it. We were seated then. A waitress came to the table after a short bit. I asked about what options were available for wines. She could only recall one. I asked about red wine varieties, she to returned telling me of one only knew the vineyard name and not the type of wine. Finally getting the beverage order finalized, she gave us the menu and left again. When she returned, we asked about the specials , she left again and brought one that had a pin hole so must have been one stuck up on a wall? Anyway, she left again and came back with our drinks. We then ordered the steak special with salad, twice baked potato. She said "what do you want for your 2nd side?". I asked what they were. She then started telling us the potato options then added breaded mushrooms, green beans or cauliflower. None were noted on the regular menu or special menu. I ordered the breaded mushrooms, my husband ordered green beans. I ordered my steak med. rare my husband ordered med. Well. When our food arrived, the waitress didn't know which steak was which. As it turns out, both were well done. No pink at all and very dry. The green beans were breaded fried (not indicated when ordered). She never returned to check on us for quite some time. It was busy this evening so I get that somewhat. When she did, it was asking about another drink order which we did. By that point, I didn't feel like making complaint. Later , she brought the check then didn't return for almost 15 minutes.  We were both very disappointed in the service and quality of the food given or bill before tip was over 80$. Excellent food, prices are reasonable given the current inflation. But, the #1 positive aspect is the staff team mates!

Went down to PA to visit friends over the weekend. They frequent this restaurant/bar, so we all went. Really good food and atmosphere, I must admit I figured it would be typical bar food but I was surprised how fresh things were. The wings and sauces were spectacular, I wish we had tried more. When we go back I can't wait to go again! read more

The Rose Inn changed ownership a while back and it's been a downward spiral. The only good thing they did was ban smoking. I've given this place more than a fair chance but the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. I stopped in last night for wings and a beer, the bartender was less than friendly and the wings were miniature and overcooked in old oil. I miss the old Rose Inn where they would just write your order down on a slip of paper and hand it to the kitchen. read more

The restaurant is very nice inside. My wife had the hamburger special and said it was very good. she was there with a bunch of redhat Lady's and they all enjoyed themselves. The waitress was very nice and served them well. read more

Looks like a locals only pub - walked in sat down and I think we must have had our invisible robes on because 30mins later walked out and no one even came by the table to offer us a menu or anything!! Very disappointed but after that we won't be going back! read more

Great food.. good service if you get the right waitress.. but they served an underage, didn't card him once, (if any underage gets asked if they want a beer and doesn't get carded, who wouldn't say yes) and banned him for life, for THEIR mistakes. Absolutely humiliated him in front of dozens of people. Owner blamed him for THEIR staff making a mistake. Going to lose a lot of money losing not only mine but many other peoples business regarding this. Owner did not handle the situation professionally and blamed this individual for her staffs actions. Unfortunately this place did not live up to what we were told. Service was almost nonexistent. Asking waitress for something was made to seem like a real chore. Hot roast beef sandwich tasted good but skimpy with the beef. My wife's burger was prefab frozen with lots of filler and just wasm't good. The fries wee good though read more

Went there with my husband and toddler. Was immediately greeted and advised that we weren't allowed to dine inside, but had to be outside due to having a kid. Keep that in mind if you have youngsters. Did have the wings and they were without a doubt, some of the best wings I have had. But wing size was the same as a lot of others places and a tad bit pricey in my opinion. read more

We have been wanting to try Rose Inn for awhile now. Many of our friends have said how good the food is. Our first order ... PIZZA! Sooooo good! Definitely going back! Puts many other pizza places in Indiana to shame! Great food @ Great prices! Can't wait to try something else! read more

I haven't been to The Rose Inn since it changed ownership & I doubt I will go back. It was over an hour late opening as the bartender/waitress wasn't there on time. When it did open, my wife & I were seated & within 10 minutes the music was blasting so loud we could barely hear one another (keep in mind it was after noon on a Sunday). The food arrived in a timely manner, but was greasy & overpriced ($40+ for 2 steak wraps + fries & one beer/one mixed drink). Within an hour, both of us were feeling bloated & nauseous. I hate giving bad reviews, but they are warranted in this case. When it comes to our future dining choices, The Rose Inn is now OUT! read more

This place is definitely a dive bar but even being a little out of the way and appearances aside, the Rose Inn has pretty good bar food. Wing night is every Tuesday, and believe me, these are the best wings you can get in the Indiana area. read more

always been a fan of their wings and have said for years they're the best in town...this hasn't changed...but, as the place has changed hands in the past couple years I feel the service has suffered...gone are the employees who used to make it worth the short drive...last Friday we get there and sit at a table where you could tell someone with dirty boots/shoes had been standing on it...we ask the waitress if she could give US a rag to clean it and she seemed as if we were bothering her, even at our suggestion that we do her job for her!! I did read a comment on here about the place 'seeming a bit racist' and while I can't personally attest to this I have heard rumors of similar behavior towards minorities...and I can tell you this was NOT the practice until this place changed hands... read more
