The interior/ambience was more of a roadside stop off spot and less of a full service sit down dining experience, and it seems to work well for them. The staff were friendly and working hard to balance the amount of online orders coming in with a quickly forming line out the door. They remained friendly and helpful thru the lunch rush. The food itself was great! I got a half order of loaded tots with pulled pork and damn if it wasn't still a full order! Leftovers for days. Walked in on Saturday evening, about 5:45 or so. When I walked in, the dinning area was 1/2 full I would say. Inside can be kinda small but they do have seating outside If the weather is good. I ordered there 1/2 chicken, Baked beans, and potato salad with a sweet tea. The chicken was really good. Dry rub on it. I would recommend if you order the chicken, dip it in the "Spicy white" sauce, you won't be disappointed. Backed beans were a bit too peppery & warm for me. The potato salad was really good. To say that the brisket grilled cheese was life changing might be a stretch for some, but not for me. Two of us got that and our other friend got a two meat plate. None of us could finish our lunch. Sides were great and we have two kinds of smoked deviled eggs. Those were good! Also had a chance to chat with the owner and learned about how he got started there. This is a must stop in the area. The food was pretty amazing. The meats look dry in the photos, but they're not. The ribs and pulled pork were delicious, I like my brisket a bit fattier but it was really good nonetheless. The vinegar based coleslaw and Mac & cheese were excellent and their white sauce was spectacular. I only wish they offered collards greens, that was the only thing missing from my meal. Came into town to visit family and celebrate a college graduation. BBQ sounded like I nice celebratory meal and so a group of 6 of us came in. The seating was kind of limited, but we did manage to pull a couple chairs around one of the tables and have a great meal! Portions are generous as far as BBQ is concerned, and the food was cooked well too. My young son enjoyed the macaroni balls, my wife enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich, and I enjoyed the two combo plate with ribs and brisket. For sides we got baked beans and fries. The fries were a big hit as they were crispy and not overly salted. Brisket had good flavor but seemed slightly tough. The ribs were a good size and tasted good in the homemade BBQ sauce. We'd definitely be interested in coming back but probably wouldn't eat in due to the hassle of large groups and the motorcycle gangs that were roaring by on their way to the neighboring bar. read more
