I've had great food the last few months of visiting Clemson but our last visit was disappointing. French onion soup with more croutons and hardly any broth (guessing it was all sucked up). My fries were overcooked and my husbands were barely done . Both of our burgers were basically rare and we ordered medium. Not sure if they got a new cook or what. I've been to the Middletown location twice now. I enjoyed eating outside in the summer where you place your order at the counter and go get it. I was there in the fall where we ate inside with full service tables book visits the food was excellent as were the drinks of course and the portions were generous. read more

"Holy Boozer Batman!" Not a terrible brewery but I've recently been to one in the immediate area that I thought had a more extensive menu. Granted I think restaurants should have small manageable menus but the selection wasn't as large as I'd hope. Spending a romantic getaway in quiet Milford, PA really backfired on us when we discovered that almost every upscale restaurant in the area is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, *and* Wednesdays. (Small town living is quite an adjustment when NYC has spoiled you.) The next best thing? A 40-minute drive back across the state border to Middletown for a more casual and low-key dinner. Cozy little brewery/restaurant whose beer garden I can see getting packed in the summertime! They have a great playlist going on in the background (mid 2000s alternative rock) and nail the industrial vibe. We sampled several of their brews, my favorites being the Tower 22 and Trinity Test IPAs. And the food menu is what you'd expect: burgers and other typical bar fare~ My short rib sandwich was delicious (basically a Philly cheese steak) and the parmesan truffle fries that came served with it were great! read more

Disappointed. More like a 2 and 1/2 starts really. The positives: atmosphere, fried chicken sandwich The beer was ok, the ones I wanted off the menu they didn't have at the time which isn't really a fault it's just the way it goes. Let's start this review off by saying: breweries are like pizza. Even when they are bad, it's still pizza. Over the last year I have grown a lot as a beer drinker. I went from thinking coors light was a respectable idea to now enjoying ipa, pilsners and pale ale. Honestly the beer here was good but I really felt there is room for improvement. With that being said, I really enjoyed the ipa tea. It was truly special and stood out amongst all the flights I tried. My beer snob girlfriend also agreed with me on the ipa tea. That's big because she hardly ever shares my beer preferences. The food was definitely the star of the show. We ordered wings, the billy burger and a smoked salmon sandwich. The sides of truffle fries and chips were awesome. I nearly had a mouthgasm from the billy burger. Get food here. I really like this place and used to go there with my wife a lot. However, when they found out we went to a certain school in the area, they started treating us poorly because they told us they had problems with people from there in the past. A co-worker and I quickly stopped in for lunch before our next appointment. We didn't have much time to decide on where to go and neither of us are familiar with the area. We pulled up Yelp and saw the stars at this place and just went. Neither one of us were a bit disappointed. The ambience was really nice, beautiful building. Service was just right and the food was amazing. We both ordered the Clemson Stout burger and thoroughly enjoyed it! The burger was full of flavor, juicy and cooked to perfection! All burgers come with truffle fries and those too were just perfect. Now the pickle they put on top of the burger, this is house made and to die for. I love pickles! It is a very clean restaurant that is well decorated and has a nice projector for viewing games. My favorite beer was the milkshake meltdown sour beer. The rest were just your average brewery beer. Do not get married at Clemson brewery. The venue is super cute and rustic but the owner is a complete ass. He wants nothing to do with having the wedding there and just wants you out asap and your money. He was rude to me the day of my wedding, and my make up and hair artists and my father. Told my father "you need to show me some respect" because my dad told him he needed to fix the LEAKING ceiling above one of the tables which resulted in my immediately family being put in another room. And trust me I get it stuff happens, I managed a restaurant for 5 years and things come up but why act like that? He told me they would pack everything away for me at the end of the night, great. Then at 11pm when it ended I was told I had to take everything out of the bridal suite and couldn't come back for it bc the door is locked. Then a guest overheard him complaining that it was 11:20 and we still weren't out yet (mind you I was clearing out the bridal suite) and then he asked me where I wanted the stuff on the tables put and I said I have a bin with the boxes and he rudely cuts me off and says well we can't package everything individually. It really wasn't much stuff and they packed it so carelessly that our champagne glasses my husband and I used broke because they were placed on top of glass in the box. The leftover desserts were also thrown out because we saw them all there on the table still when we were the last ones leaving. They did no coffee service and I'm sure he'll say "you had to ask ahead of time" but these are standard things a wedding does. I'm not sure what his problem was because I am super low maintenance but it was not the way I expected to be treated after giving someone thousands of dollars to have a wedding at their venue. Not to mention there was no type of coordination when guests arrrived so they were all over the venue resulting in half my guests seeing me in my dress before the ceremony. There was no hi nice to meet you nor congratulations I hope everything was okay. I really wished to look back on my wedding day and remember how great it was instead of how shitty my family and I were treated. Nor have I heard back about my broken champagne glasses because I'm sure he could careless. My suggestion: don't do weddings or hire someone to do it who gives a crap because it definitely isn't you. read more

We winded up getting the two burgers that sounded the best and then split them. The berry Compote with the goat cheese was amazing! The caliente was just as good! My burger was a little over done but the taste definitely made up for it! You can't go wrong with a burger here. The outside patio is pretty awesome too! One person in our party has food allergies (dairy, eggs, peanuts) that we're identified to the server and his burger came out with cheese even though it was ordered as a plain burger. I had the Big Bad Wolf Burger and it was loaded with bacon and this burger was Amazing!!! My girlfriend had the Bianca pizza. It was a house made Ricotta , mozzarella , roasted garlic and basil oil. Went to a graduation party in a Sunday mid day. I felt the room was too small for our group. It was scheduled for 12 and nothing served until 12:30. The food was tasty but the wings were dry. Not sure if they changed owners but it was about a year between our last visit and the time before that. It used to be great, but not worth the drive anymore. It took forever to get our food which wouldn't be a huge issue except that our entrees came out before our appetizer, even though we asked twice where the appetizer was. Even worse, the appetizer was cold when it came out. My burger had all of the toppings on one side, so that side that delicious, but I would have liked those flavors in every bite. I honestly thought at first that they gave me a plain burger and not the Clemson Stout burger. And the fries tasted like a greasy mess, not at all like I remember. For the price, it just wasn't worth it. There were about 5 servers standing around for almost the entire time we were there. There were lots of empty tables too so it's not like they were overly busy to justify the wait. Clearly they need more kitchen staff and less wait staff.
