We have eaten there many times & the food is hit & miss. We were there yesterday for a late lunch around 3:15. A sign at the front as we walked in stated to be seated. Dining room only had two tables busy. After 10 minutes with not seeing a server, my husband walked to the bar to ask about service & a server appeared shortly after. Our order were taken promptly. However, it took 25 minutes to get a burger that was very greasy & chicken fried steak that was heavily over-battered. The server did return a couple of times to check with us, leaving us to believe the delay in getting our food at a more timely manner was the kitchen. Won't be going back anytime soon! read more

I visit the draft house quite often. It has two primary areas - a dining only section and a bar section, plus there is an outdoor patio which allows smoking. The bar area has flat screen TVs all around, and they are always showing the popular games. There are also pool tables, dart boards, and a small stage & dance floor that see most action on weekend nights. They stock a nice variety of beers, and the food is good. I suggest the ribs, and the buffalo shrimp run a close second. This is a place you can take your family for nice dinner or have a cool time hanging out with friends. read more

We're new to the area and stopped in on a whim. Their draft selection is amazing, and their prices aren't too bad when compared to others in the area. They have some good specials throughout the week ($2 Bud/Bud Lite on Sundays for football is nice, along with half price wings). We've never eaten in the restaurant portion, so I can't say much about that, but we have enjoyed the things we've tried (wings, burgers, nachos, wraps - more "bar food" I guess). Sometimes the service is amazing, and we end up striking up some great conversations with the staff, but once in a while when it's a little busier we end up with a server who forgets to stop by the table as often as we'd like. Great atmosphere for football games, two outdoor patio areas, free wi-fi and outlets at some of the booths in the bar area are great for working lunches, a $5.99 lunch menu that has a lot to choose from, and although I don't play pool they've got plenty of tables and a few dart boards. And maybe it's just me, but I hate it when you go into a bar and it's lit up like Christmas in there. Thankfully the Draft House hit that just right - not so dark that you can't see but not so lit up you feel like you're walking down a grocery aisle. Spent all week telling my family how we needed to go to this place. When we got there the server was very condescending to us and when we asked if we could get a sample of a certain beer he told us that we would have to get up and go to the bar because he was really to busy. This place is about as average as average can be. Food is average, service is average, atmosphere is average. I do like their beer selection. Bar area has limited seating and doesn't feel clean. We always sit on the bar side, so I don't know about the restaurant side. The staff is always very nice, but the other customers can be a little much. We go here a lot for convenience because it is close. My husband likes their club sandwich and I get whatever I am in the mood for that evening or day. It is almost always packed, and we have given up on trying to meet up with friends here due to lack of space for everyone to sit together. Desperate to eat something different other than the local chain restaurants this particular day. I've past this place dozens of times and decided to try it. It took nearly an hour to receive our food, mind you i had a 12 month old patiently waiting. Food arrived finally, every bit of it looked like it came out a kitchen of a residence not a restaurant, talking about being hugely disappointed and it wasn't even busy. After some really decent meals in the past, (see my prior review,) tonight's visit may be the last. Possibly because we were having a late meal, but this was not a dining "experience" I'd wish on anyone. We have liked Cleveland Draft House because they've been accomidating to a dairy allergy my older daughter suffers. (It's beyond a lactose intolarence.) She has a "standard" order which includes a large salad, no cheese, and broccoli, no butter. We also inform the service staff of the allergy. Tonight was no different. Unfortunately, as she started to eat the salad, she found under all the lettuce, cheese. Things at this point can go one of three ways: 1.) She didn't ingest any, so we just ask for a new salad and go from there, but be careful. 2.) Everything she's eaten in the last few years ends up no longer in her stomach 3.) She goes into a severe reaction requiring medical intervention. (It's possible that 2 & 3 happen together.) We seemed lucky in that she wasn't having any issues, so mistakes happen, right? Inform the server, get another salad, comb through each leaf and go from there. That's where things went wrong. The server showed no concern. She flippantly said that the back line might have gotten some cheese in the salad station. AND, "Do you want me to get another salad?" No, "I'm sorry," or any show of understanding that it could've been a serious situation. She didn't even offer to comp the bad salad. (I don't expect free food, so this is more that it would've been good business.) I'm not sure if it was understood that this was an allergy alert, or what, but I'd be very careful unless better training is proven about allergy situations. read more

We recently moved out this way and have been here a handful of times already. Every staff member we've encountered has been wonderful! We did not love the appetizer sampler, but everything else we have had from the menu has been delicious! Our favorites so far - Chicken salad sandwich, Kentucky wrap, Reuben, and the quesadillas...awesome, they also have good fries and amazing ranch as well as a great beer selection, decent specials and a good amount of space. They also allow dogs on the patio which is a huge plus for us in the fall. This is our new go-to, I definitely recommend it! read more

Was just there and Waited 10 minutes in the bar to even be acknowledged, had to get our own menus with 3 young ladies leaning on the bar thinking they have nothing to do. Since they changed the weekly special menu I know at least 10 men from my neighborhood that don't go there any more. This used to be my favorite place in the area, but since the second location opened, it seems like they have let this one go down the drain. If you are on the bar side, the service is nonexistent and so is the air conditioning. We had to flag down a waitess to get drinks, and we didn't see her again for refills or to see if we wanted menus until we flagged her down again. This is not a one-time thing. I have always seen this place while on Rt. 42 heading to I-40. Seemed interesting. Finally got to try it. We had fried pickles and jalapeños as an appetizer. They were good. Others with us tried the fried ravioli and really liked it. I had the fish and chips. It looked really good, but the fish was frozen so it was very mushy and quite disgusting. I did not even eat half of it. However, they had a large menu and would like to try some of the other items. I'll go back. read more

We ate here a few times because its one of the few bars in the area but we refuse to go back. The food is subpar. The staff is inattentive and rude. Expect to wait atleast 10 minutes before someone realizes that your waiting for a table. They will ignore you and let your drink sit empty while they sit back and talk to one another. Sometimes it will take 20 minutes just to get a check. We complained one time to the management and just got poor excuses. Dont waste your time here. read more

I have been going here once a week with my family for the past 6 years. All of the wait staff knows who we are and are always VERY nice! The kitchen staff NEVER gets it right! Cooked wrong, fried not broiled, French fries instead of baked potato, ice cold sides, etc... This past week I went home and had to eat dinner there because the food was so cold it was inedible and when the manager came over, she said she would take care of it on the bill...she gave us $10 off of an $85 tab. One of the few places to play pool in the Garner area. Arrived one evening with friends to have a few drinks and play some pool. Noticed three pool tables opened and asked for one. Was immediately put on a waiting list at my surprise. Confronted waitress about why tables weren't being used. Was told that people can hold tables for as long as they want at a rate of $6 hr. We sat for at least an hour without one person playing on either table. I called for waitress again and asked were they paying per hour on these tables. She assured me that they would pay. Not once did I see anyone from those tables come back in restaurant to pay and balls were left on table for wait staff to pick up. One table was giving to the group in front of us and our waitress sent another waiter over to give us our pool balls as she seemed frustrated that I continued to complain. Once we finished playing after an hour once again a different waiter closed our bill out. We watched our waitress meet him at the register to make sure he charged us $6hr. Was very amusing to us that we were the only ones paying for pool time. Once again our waitress didn't come back and we were charged pool time. I paid the pool time and tipped my waitress but needless to say that will be the last time for a while before we go back to the Cleveland Draft house. read more

I planned to meet friends Sunday night to have some beers and watch football. Since I was driving 45 mins I checked out the reviews for CDH. I went to the CDH website to see what upcoming events were posted. I get to the CDH at 8pm and saw a sign on the door saying that they were closing at 9pm for a private party. I thought, like many, that the dining area was going to be closed off. In fact, the entire establishment was closing for a Christmas employee party. I drove for flippin' 45 mins to get to this place only to have to go some place else. As the waitress explained to me, "it is our party and we deserve one like every one else." That fine with me, but common courtesy says post something on your website saying that you are closing. The reviews Ive read about the horrible service are true. There was no hostess at the front door. I asked the waitress for a Kentucky Mule and she had no clue what one was....and she works at a Draft House?...her response was, "we dont serve that kind of thing here". There is no organization at this establishment. The wait staff was scattered all over the place. They were more focused on their "party" than waiting on customers. read more
